The world design is dope imo. The number of different branching paths from Majula is so cool.
This guy gets it
Subbed because it's just real talk over a mic about a game. Dope shit.
Exactly. Scripts aint necessary
4:16 is this the same moveset as Elden Ring Dragons?! Damn... atleast they changed in the DLC.
I suspect it's originally a DS1 animation. A Kalameet stomp being played on a wyvern instead of a dragon.
The majority of Elden Ring’s enemies take at least some of their assets from previous Fromsoft games.
You don't like the lost bastile and the gutter? 2 of the coolest areas in the game and you didn't like it. No mans wharf is the only level in a fromsoft game that feels lived in with how many npcs there are scattered about with some that don't aggro on you. Lost bastille is fun and you access it from several points in thee world map which I think is really cool.
I had a horrendous first playthrough experience w the lost bastille and the gutter is ass to go through, still better than ds1 imo!
"40 ADP is similar to Base ADP. Theres barely any difference" just isnt true. ADP is the only reason why DS2 is the hardest game to beat at SL1. Sure you can strafe some basic enemies but almost all bosses have insane tracking to where you need to roll whether you like it or not.
Its only similar to me BECAUSE I strafe mostly and I do roll if I have to and didnt have any issues w it through the entire game
DS2 haters: you can just easily avoid every attack by walking to the side!
Also DS2 haters:
I never knew Adp actually made estus faster & more rolling s until a month ago.
Idk if I should feel impressed or stupid about 100%ing DS2 3 times 😂
@@archieliam717 impressed for sure
Thanks man! I have always been tearing myself in half because I wasn't sure if I should buy it, I've heard way too many negative things about it but to hear that it was slightly better than DS1 is absolutely enough for me to buy it. Predictions, bad level designs. This is the main gripe I've been hearing from a lot of people.
If you hesitant to try something new, it's probably something you SHOULD try to do
@@keepmadlol9320 im hesitant to try drugs.
The thing is. Alot of the people who complain about ds2 haven't actually played it. They see clips of the hit boxes being a bit janky, and hear some clips of people complaining about adp and then make them out to be 10x worse than they are. You just have to get adp to lvl 26 if I recall, and you'll be set, which isn't even that much btw, leveling is hella easy in ds2, and your average playthrough will have you end at about level 150. Well most of the other issues cry about ds2 having show up in other games that they praise, so just take ds2 hate with a grain of salt.
DS2 was the most frustrating fromsoftware game to get into. The bad enemy placement/quantity, the weird character movement, the dumb world design. But after pushing myself past things betwtix, the rest of the game was great. I platinumed the game and put close to 250 hours in this game.
Same thing happened to me but I didnt rlly mind the character movement or world design even tho it wasnt very smart
If you ever choose to replay it, you should give the original a shot! I actually think it is a lot better than SOTFS.
@@BeansEnjoyer911 yea ive been thinking ab that recently so ill make another vid on the original if I do
if you didn't play the real first Dark souls 2 v1.0 you didn't beat the game
Yea mb ill go beat that then redo this
Scholar is an improvement in most areas imo
Ds2 is a sad case for me. I would obliviously love to have enjoyed it. The game overall is a 7/10 for me. Which sucks because if all the cool ideas that Ds2 brought to the table, but the core gameplay and map design leave alot to be desired. Its like ordering a steak a restaurant, the steak comes out burnt but the salad on the plate was okay and had some nice flavours to it. Also adp exists.
Ds2 is an interesting case for me, idk why I love it sm but I js do. Honestly my score could boil down to a weird nostalgic feeling I get from the game. Maybe im just crazy tho.
DS2 best game of the series. Period... I can write an essay here but long story short, movement its the 1 thing the game lacks, like drinking an Estus, it takes aeons to complete the animation 😠🤬, and durability in general, rings breaking so annoying 😂... Solid 92 I may say... Elevators and ladders 😴😴
ppl who dislike ds2 chug/roll too much ong
also don't know if it's just me but people love playing bb reskined as a ds game(ds3) more then bb
Thats what im sayin bru
Dark Souls 2 Shadow Of The Fuck Shit?
Close enough
@@GooLaGoob assumed as much
Its butt-ugly and everything looks like it has the texture of dry paper. You can tell the textures were originally made for an entirely different lighting system. Nobody would make it look this bad intentionally. Lighting is absolute ass. Everything in the environment is bright and lacking proper shadows. Too many samey humanoid bosses and overall quantity over quality approach to boss design. Honestly you can extend that to the environments. Every area just feels like a random video game level and lacks a sense of place. The lore/story isn't dog doo tier, but definitely worst in the franchise. Most bosses have no significant lore integration at all. Controls are clunky. Life gems ruin the game balance, or perhaps band-aid over a balance that never existed. Estus feels like shite to use and brings the character to a dead stop.
It's a barely playable 5/10 game.
the graphics might be shit but the visual design is good
I think this guy hates ds2
@@GooLaGoob Nope, lol. his opinion is much more real and honest than your cringe video. Cmon lol, you said you never roll then 30 seconds later in the video you roll twice. 1 you are a bad troll, or 2. you are a dishonest liar who wants to capitalize around that old DS2 hate to make views. No one cares.
The hit boxes are so shit that my character wont react to hits and have zero animation but take massive damage from bosses. Mobs alone are just so lazy. Worst souls games played ever one and this one i tried 5 seprate times maybe more in the past 8 years and its just a chore
Yea I hated it at first too but after a bit it clicked for me, sucks it didnt for u but I still respect ur opinion
@@GooLaGoob love the intro maybe the best of all the games but yea feels to slow after beating elden and sekiro not a huge fan of bloodborne either which is sorta controversial
spoiler for when i review bloodborne but i give it an 100, i still respect ur opinion on it tho and appreciate you commenting and I do understand why the slow nature of ds2 can be off-putting but thats kinda half the reason why I love it.
I love ds2, the build variety is the strongest in the series. It also probably has some of my favorite dlcs and bosses. The level design is my favorite in the series, a lot of people dislike the enemy placements but when you know what you're doing, it almost feels methodical to clear our areas like iron keep and shrine of amana
