Crazy how Caleb finding a palisman is what lead to him meeting Evelyn. It’s ironic, because Luz’s first exposure to magic was also a palisman (Owlbert) which lead her to the first witch she ever met. Eda, who just happens to be a descendent of Evelyn. A Palisman “took” his brother away, and guided a human to end his reign. *Bro getting bitched by birds.* 💀

@@avch1209 I think that's possible because Dana said hooty was a parasite that latched onto Titans, but he's latched onto the door on the owl house, not a titan. So either the owl house is a titan, or hooty is only alive because he's friends with king
I think the Bat Queen is the only plot point that upset me. Knowing the further context that it’s implied she was the titan’s palisman is cool, but the whistle was really pointless in the end.
I imagine the whistle is another thing that would have been brought back if they’d had the time. They even made a joke late season 2 about how they didn’t have the time for a beach episode because it was all kicking off!

*I was honestly upset that Lilith and Amity didn't get any interactions with eachother during season 2 and 3. It seemed like thier relationship was built-up to be a mentor/student relationship during the 'Covention' episode in season 1 and then I felt like it was drafted like it never happen and they never even knew eachother. So hopefully if we get a sequel were everything is placed in the future, I hope they atleast interact even if it's only minor interactions*
I think the reason that they didn’t interact much is because everybody was going through a bunch of sh*t and they didn’t have time to interact. Both of them got huge redemption arcs. Lilith in season 2 was basically going insane trying to prove to herself that she is a good witch even without her magic. Amity in season 2 was trying to escape from the toxicity of her mother. Though, if we do get anything in the future, I hope that we get more interactions between the two.
Honestly, The Collector was a REALLY impressive character He had 7 total episodes with short or no speaking lines in 2 of them and yet in such a short amount of time, they had...A full character arc, developed relationships with the main cast, a 3D complex character, part of their backstory explained, a villain redemption, and lasting impacts on the characters of the show, minor and major.
I hope somehow TOH gets a spin-off, Dana and Co said their optimistic so hopefully it’s possible, especially after the finale there’s so much prequel or future spin-offs opportunities, hopefully Disney realize what they have before it’s too far gone
if the show hadn't been cut it would have been interesting to see Jacob (the previous museum manager) as a villain equal to Crocker from Fairly OddParents being treated like crazy for saying witches exist and then, just like in the Fairly OddParents movie , Jacob manages to enclose the palisman (or even the collector) in a magic staff and with magic he turns the whole Earth into his kingdom
Obviously not all romantic relationships have to end in marriage, but I’d love it if the reason Eda and Raine aren’t married yet is so that we can get an on-screen wedding ceremony if the show ever continues.
You know, I’m really glad that Dana and crew didn’t make the Archivists the final villain and just stuck with Belos. It would’ve given me Naruto flashbacks, you had this great endgame villain setup from the very beginning but decided “You know what I want? Aliens” and Just threw out the whole story just for sequel baiting. My Titan did that manga end horribly
Yeah, I’m glad that Belos was still the main villain because adding in the Archivists would’ve been way too unnecessary for the finale. Better we save them for future projects. Oh and speaking of the finale, remember a couple months back when Sarah Nicole Robles cried from a moment she recorded for the episode. Well, that moment turned out to be the scene when Luz realized that glyphs no longer work where it marked as the end of one chapter in her life while a new one begins.
I think it would’ve worked better than Naruto, since Belos story had some kind of payoff in the Season 2 climax, and the transition felt natural since King made a deal with the devil to solve their problems
Belos was the 1st main villain to end a chapter, and in the belos chapter they introduced the titan and archivists lore which was a great build up for the next main villains....
I miss not seeing the relationship that must have developed between Eda & Camila... and maybe Im a little sad that loyal Jean Luc never came back to life.
Ok, quick toss: If the Bat Queen was Papa Titan's Palisman. How can you not accept it's eye being the same size as the door one? More over, magic. It could've been transmutated into the glassy substance. And third of all, we see they died missing an eye, so they might've given the eye up to set up a passway between realms.
Not to mention, we’ve seen examples before of Demon Realm creatures becoming small after getting injured, like Adegast after getting stabbed with a toy sword in Witches Before Wizards, as well as the Trash Slug after eating salt in I Was A Teenage Abomination. What if this explains why the Titan’s eye and heart are much smaller than they should be, following their death?
9:55. I will always headcanon that Amity at some point tore Odalia to shreds for not just willingly helping Belos with his draining spell but for all the other things she did.
I'm honestly hoping they put people like Odalia, Kikimora and Terra to jail. They were awful people who harmed others for their own gain. They participated in genocide, child abuse / neglect and probably loads of other serious crimes that would've gotten locked up tight on Earth.
@@kennedydebree1042. From what we know in the story, Odalia was the only one of them that was aware of the Draining Spell, not saying that Kiki and Terra weren’t also selfish, but they weren’t aware, judging by their reactions when the Draining Spell hit.
It would be interesting if Amity and Hunter went to the ruins of Belos's castle to take all the plans of the machinery he used and thus put it to better use.
Honestly, im glad the collector got included because of how much he reflects how I was at that age. I keep finding new things to go "oh wait, I was like that" about whenever he's on screen. Same issues. Same goals. Same difficulties and traumas. We just handled it differently.
I don't think it's acknowledged enough that Luz ended her journey the way she started it. The first ever form of magic she used were glyphs (aka titan magic, but she didn't know that yet), specifically the light glyph. The way that she defeated Belos with a huge light glyph across the entire Boiling Isles warmed my heart to see how it all connects to her first accomplishment. Her adventures really ended where they started.
To be honest, the fact that the old portal door is the Papa Titan's missing eye does make sense. Because remember back on the episode when Luz made the unstable version of the portal door. The items she used to make it got fused together, so odds are the same happen when the old portal door was made and Papa Titan's eye was included in the mix. Thus the reason why, regardless of the eye's size the affects of the fusion made the eye fit on the door. But that's just my opinion.

My headcanon with the portal door is that the eye on the door isn’t actually the titan’s eye but there is a small piece of the titan’s actual eye inside of the glass eye thing on the door
I assume that when dried out it was basically folded into that shape then any remaining titians blood in it basically crystallized the folded eye. With it being shrunken because eyes are full of liquid it shrunk a little then was cut as it is massively smaller than the blimp sized eyes

I hope to see The Owl House continue in the future as a sequel. I would love to see more focus on character dynamics such as Camila and Eda, Luz and Raine, Alador and his kids (especially Amity), Matt and Steve, Hunter and Darius, Alador and Darius, Amity and Lilith, Hunter and Dell, and especially Amity and Hunter because I want to see them patch things up after the events of Eclipse Lake.
Dana Terrace confirms that The Owl House could continue in the future. I hope we get some good stuff to occupy us. Maybe we can see what everyone has been up to in the past 3 years in between the ending and the reunion as well as past 10 years in Amphibia. Maybe it'll be planned for the 5 year anniversary of Amphibia next year.

It would have been more interesting if it had rebelled that the timeline where Luz and everyone was in was incorrect and that Philip had been the 1st to change history using the time wells creating the current timeline being perhaps the only one in where his plan was going to be possible.... and Luz tries to change history again and prevents Philip from starting his plan but also causes a universe where she never made it to the islands
As someone who bounded with Hunter and is probably my most relatable character in the entire show I really want a scene where Hunter and friends bury all the remains of the past golden guards and hunter is able to make peace with the cycle finally being broken and maybe gets to meet or see the original Caleb
Yes. That was a cliffhanger right there. We dont get these answers at all. How many were there? What happened to cause their deaths? Why were they discarded that way? Did Hunter give them a proper burial or did they get destroyed during the battle against Belos / the building of the Archives? Were they loyal to Belos til the end? Did they find out the truth and died because of it? How much did they know then? What happened to the previous Golden Guard, Darius's mentor? Did Darius see it or learn of what happened? Why did he say his mentor was the greatest witch when he should've have been powerless like Hunter? Will there be a prequel focusing on all or a few of their lives? Did at least one escape?
I don't know if anyone else mentioned this yet, but WHAT HAPPENED TO KING'S BLOOD SAMPLE? Hooty said the tests were inconclusive, so it was either sent to a vet or a zoologist. Everyone thought it would be used to make a new portal door, but Belos never even knew that King was a Titan until the Collector told him. WE NEED TO KNOW!!!
There are a few things I wanted to know about. Belos was said to be more powerful than Edalyn, in fact the most powerful on the isles. I want to know what else he can do with the magic The collector taught him. How is able to use the magic? What is his curse? How did the tablet end up in the titan skull? 💀 was Philip just going to let the trappers live, and only genocide the boiling isles? What other worlds are out there?
Yeah he carved magic into his skin like his staff. He didn't have a curse, it was [the guilt of] the palismans who were affecting his body and his magic. (It's why I think the owl beast was a palisman, not a titan cousin). This one is truly unknown, I imagine the monarch locked it away in his own head to keep it from people - or could've been the Titan trappers leaving it there as an offering to the collector. Philip was gonna kill every witch and demon he found, let's be real here.
I loved at the very end when Luz said "they're nearly gone," and the reveal that "they" was us the audience as the entire cast (and I'm sure the crew too) said "Byeeeeee!"
My take on the Titan Eye thing: It's unnecessary, but plausible. I think the titans can change their size, because the size of the heart, skeleton and King's egg in the tower don't make any sense together otherwise. Additionally, the other Titan skeletons also all have extremely varying sizes, from King-sized to Boiling Isles-sized. Also also, I think the Owl Beast is probably a titan as well. It was trapped in the scroll by an archivist, Eda and Lilith's harpy forms look like Luz's Titan form, and King and Eda both looked similar during their rage after Luz died.

I agree. How they came into contact and interact with the Human Realm needs clarification. Do select teens get shuttled to Camila's and trusted in-the-know humans as "foster children" and go to human school? The conspiracy guy and Philip are a perfect examples not all of humanity being accepting of witches....
I'm glad you elaborated on the titan eye, as I had also heard that it is papa's titan eye but it didn't make sense because of timing and sizing. Unless there were witches living on the islands surrounding the fallen titan, they took his eye and shrunk it down via magic and also then moved onto his decaying corpse.
Could be that demons and maybe witches existed before the Titans died out as pets that lived on them. And the portal was a created as a way to save then from the collectors' wrath....
My one thought is when Eda went to the back of her parents house, and it showed the archway, it looked similar to the archway found at the cemetery in Gravesfield. What if it was originally a portal and that’s how Evelyn and Caleb met? Then afterwards the portal door was created.
In regards to the door containing Papa Titan's eye, I'd say it's fairly feasible. The Titan is clearly not the regular form of Papa Titan (just look at the fingers as an example), but King demonstrated that Titans are able to modify their size and appearance at will. So perhaps the eye was lost when Papa Titan was smaller, or magically altered to fit within the door.
Can’t wait to see what Future plans are for Amphibia and Owl House cause the sky’s the limit with both shows at this point. Or least the Owl House since it’s more popular.
If it is confirmed that Caleb is the ancestor of the Clawtorn, imagine that it is revealed that each grimwalker was incomplete (Caleb's DNA was not enough) and Belos had to use the DNA of a witch to complete it and for the current Hunter Belos used the DNA of Eda or Lily making Hunter part of the Clawtorn family directly? (and that's why Belos told Hunter that he was the clone that most resembled his brother because he unknowingly used DNA from a descendant of Caleb) Where would he have gotten DNA from? of her hair? or perhaps from her blood or other fluid from her?
Well I mean supposedly the majority of the parts he needed to construct a grimwalker came from parts of creatures as well as some part of Caleb. Even if he did need more material of a witch to construct the new body he probably did not use a Clawthorne's body much less their DNA in a while. I mean he spent like a few hundred years just making the coven sigils, some of the first batches resulting in the deaths of several witches. So even back then he had plenty of DNA and extra body parts to use. At best of the current Grimwalker he made, Belos probably just used the witches held at the conformitorium if he needed test subjects or just more parts for grimwalkers.
I wonder if later clones like Hunter were even made using parts of Caleb. Bodies have finite mass that decays over time. Even if Belos had his body in stasis and portioned the parts he used after a so many he would've used everything. And that if he grabbed his body while it was fresh. I'm thinking he used parts of the other Grimwalkers especially if he was seeking the perfect clone of Caleb. Hunter was nearly perfect according to Belos. And what little we can see of the visual bodies of the Grimwalker ghosts, some of them had different traits than Caleb and Hunter....
@@kennedydebree1042 I mean it all really depends on what the clones require to be made from the original. I do not remember the exact number, but the mind of Belos has an area with around about 20 masks of the Golden Guard. A better estimation for how many he made would probably be using the dates of years that passed as Belos was in the Boiling Isles. Then take whatever dialogue and evidence depicted to estimate how many Golden Guards were made. Either way Belos made at least 15 clones, which means he needed at least 15 parts of whatever body part(s) he needed from Caleb. Perhaps the creator of the show may have put more details on this in their QnA or somewhere.
There’s a fan animation of Philip & Caleb’s backstory and it feels like it could’ve been an actual scene in the show, so it’s real as far as I’m concerned
I love all this attention to detail. We already knew how much Dana Terrace cared, but this really shows it. Something you didn't mention, I don't know if it counts as an Easter egg or not, but I love that Lilith kept her natural hair color and learned how to enter her own harpy form. I also love that Odalia is nowhere to be seen. Probably divorced by Alador.
Rebecca Rose did a kind of AMA on Twitter a month or two ago where she dropped the following info: 1. There was a scene with Camila and Odalia meeting each other in the Archives after Belos' death. As Rebecca put it, some "mama drama" ensued. The scene had to be cut from the finale for time reasons. 2. Remember "Human Amity," the cheerleader from s1 and s3? In s1, she didn't have a name, but by s3 she did. Her name was Juliet, although it never got said aloud in s3.
I wish we could have seen more of Vi, she was a really good character that I feel didn't get much screen time compared to the rest of the series. I hope that IF something happens to the series in the future, we get to see more of her.
All those questions and the one that irritated me wasn't answered: Why was Kikimora helping build the library and not locked up in a psych ward being watched for tyranical tendencies.
In my opinion, Belos didn't suffer enough. There should have been a scene between him and Caleb kind of like the scene between Ursa and Ozai in the ATLA comics. Also, I think he might not even be dead: notice that King mentions there's still some goo left on his foot after the rain dissipates, and that none of the goo disintegrated into gray dust like the goo encasing the Titan bones did. I even think there are still places they could take Belos's character, Namely: the modern human realm is very different from the human realm he came from, he would probably hate it and become obsessed with changing it back to how it was in his day.
There’s an animatic out there that shows Belos in the afterlife area Luz was in when she saw Papa Titan and Belos sees Caleb and tries BS-ing an apology to him but the souls of the past Grimwalkers drown him down as Caleb condemns him over everything he’s done, I like to believe that animatic is canon and takes place offscreen
I mean I loved it for irony: Belos is killed by a descendant of the witch he hated so much (Evelyn); his latest victim of possession; and the son of the god he claimed to speak for. He does not get to go out with a bang because that would just reinforce to himself that he was the hero all along dying a martyr's death. He tries to have validation through Luz, but she does not give him any of her time and just stares down at him the same way that the ghost/hallucination of Caleb did to him. He has no one that will cater to what he has to say, which destroys his narcissistic ego.
I mean...I see no real reason to keep Belos alive. As far as King's comment, I took that just as a joke. And keep in mind that Belos was in such a weakened state, that I'd doubt his sheer willpower would have allowed him to have enough of a burst of energy to continue like last time. After four years, he is treated more like some scary story of the Boiling Isles. To me, kind of like we did not get that much on the Wittebane brothers because, in my opinion, it was really irrelevant as any love he had for Caleb was drowned out by the sheer hatred that he had for witches. He'd only want his brother back as in someone who was completely obedient to him and would share all his vile opinions on witches.
Btw another fun fact, if you look at the final scene luz's pinboard has a picture of king playing catch with eda on it which is just an adorable little addition in my opinion❤
There aren’t many questions I had, just that I found the Photos Class intriguing. We heard that memories are extremely fragile and even tiny damage can have extreme effects. So what happens to the memories after class? Are they given to the students? Do adults hold onto them for safekeeping? Eventually they’ll wither away, which makes sense. But also, they can’t destroy them, that’d destroy the memories themself. So where do they go? You can’t exactly shove a memory back into someone’s brain, can you? I still want to know
It's sad to see it go. I wasn't a big fan after the first few episodes but after I decided to watch it a couple of more, I couldn't stop watching it. I think Disney made a huge mistake with cancelling this program. It touched areas for everyone. I'm hoping that Disney will bring it back as now I'm invested with all of the characters.
I'm still mad Diseny cut the third season down to 3 episodes. We could have gotten so much from the story if they didn't! They better give us a full sequel series as a way to say 'sorry for the screw up'!
Here's an idea regarding the eye/portal door problem in the Hooty Hole Theory: Papa Titan would have seen what had occurred when Luz and Lilith went to the past and met Philip. Given that he was actively trying to prevent Philip from learning the glyphs, he would have especially taken note of this mysterious human with an unconvincing disguise who somehow already knew how to make the light glyph, which wouldn't make sense to him at the time, since he never taught her his light glyph, and she just seemed to appear out of nowhere anyway. He also likely would have noticed that Luz was just trying to do the right thing for someone whose evil nature she wasn't at all aware of, and probably noticed Lilith saying that something seemed familiar about Philip's manipulation tactics. He would have continued watching Luz until seeing her and Lilith return to their original time via a time pool, at which point he would have connected the dots, and realized that 1. Luz and Lilith were from the future, 2. Luz would be someone he would eventually come to trust with the glyphs, 3. Lilith would have been tricked by someone as manipulative as Philip was sometime in the future, but - for Lilith - prior to her traveling to the "present," by which point she would have become disillusioned and opposed to said person's lies, and 4. Lilith and Luz traveling together through the time pool, and Lilith being much older than Luz, meant that he would have to keep watch for Lilith in the future in order to know when it would soon be time for Luz to arrive. Over the years since then, Papa Titan would have seen Philip slowly gain influence by manipulating witches into fearing Wild Magic, while disguised as a witch named Belos, who would then establish himself as Emperor some time later. Fast forward to when Lilith and Eda were growing up, Papa Titan would have then realized the following: 5. Lilith and her sister Eda were both extremely talented witches 6. Eda was definitely a more rebellious and mischievous (but still ultimately caring and good-natured) sort than Lilith was, 7. Both Lilith and Eda showed an interest in joining the Emperor's Coven, 8. Unlike Lilith, however, Eda lost interest in not just joining the Emperor's Coven, but even participating in the coven system at all, and 9. After Eda was cursed, Lilith became increasingly dedicated to serving Belos, while Eda became more of a recluse who wanted to get away from all the forces in her life trying to force things onto her. At that point, Papa Titan would have realized that it would be Eda, not Lilith, whom Luz would need to encounter first upon arrival to the Boiling Isles, in order to increase the odd that Luz might somehow be able to put a stop to Belos's plans. In order to facilitate this, he took one of his eyes, and used it to make the portal door, a process which would also cause the eye to shrink to its eventual size on the door itself, possibly due to having to use most of its mass in order to make the portal magic work, but also definitely to make it able to fit on a door, especially one that Eda would be able to keep safe from Belos. While doing that, he would have found Hooty, and decided to use him to further help Eda, by making him the protector of a place Eda had been using as a hideout. He then used a time pool (or similar portal-like thing) to make the portal door appear to Eda when she needed it the most, so that she could not only escape from her own troubles, but also become familiar enough with the Human Realm to be as capable as she could be of helping Luz upon her arrival to the Demon Realm. He also would have been the one to allow Eda to find King, since he had already arranged for so much of Eda's role in his plans.
The only important critique that I have is that I think they failed Hunter's character in episodes 2 and 3. He never got closure with Belos, and it also would have been better if they had kept building up to that after Willow's breakdown. It's like they forgot about him because they didn't have enough screen time.
Maybe Papa Titan hot into an accident or removed his eye on purpose. Then he put a glass-like covering on it and used it as part of some portal experiments. Perhaps Evelyn’s portal door was actually made by King’s dad, only to be discovered by Evelyn and later Eda. Just an idea, of course.
I think that the finale was as strong as it could've been given the limitations and I'm glad that Dana and her team answered all these questions as none of the answers (besides the titan eye idea) is hard to believe. I'm so glad to have this kind of closure after the series ended and I hope we'll maybe get some graphic novels or a spinoff down the line.

Okay, but the Titan was in many sizes throughout his life. He could have lost it when it was that size, and he’s a Titan….who’s to say the material of his eye couldn’t crystallize or that it was already glass-like?
The Titan's eye portal door thing does work also I wanted to learn more about Jean-Luc and to know if Hunter has children would they carry Calib's DNA and there for be Clawthorns?
Did anyone else realize something... This show also referenced Myths from real life, not just anime. For example Kikimora's name.. It's shared with that of slavic mythology. A Sleep paralysis demon. Or as it says on the wiki: "Kikimora is a legendary creature, a female house spirit in Slavic mythology. Her role in the house is usually juxtaposed with that of the domovoy. The kikimora can either be a "bad" or a "good" spirit, which will depend on the behavior of the homeowner." Also given a title of: "house-spirit and guardian of chickens". Which further cements my theory that Kikimora might have been redeemed during the timeskip, hence why we saw her doing construction without any guard or shackles, etc.
I just want to say that I agree with you 100 percent about how it doesn’t make sense for the eye on the portal door to be the Titan’s eye! The moment I heard that in the Post Hoot, I went “Really?”

My biggest question is why Eda never cast Magic with owlbert after she lost her magic. We see Hunter is able to use Magic very efficiently with flapjack and in both of her major fights with Lilith, Eda primarily used owlbert to cast spell circles so couldn’t she and Lilith have just relied on spell casting with a palisman instead of learning glyphs or only using their harpy modes. Same goes for Lus now that she had String Beam she shouldn’t need the titans magic anymore now that she has a palisman.
I think it’s because eda’s curse doesn’t just stop magic, it corrupts it. Remember Eda could play her lute Raine gave her and it made things glow and float, but then everything got corrupted. As for Luz and stringbean though, I’m not sure 😅
@@LCWatchdog7 glyph magic comes from using symbols to direct the magic of the isles, not from her. I don’t think a palisman would work bc it’s more of an internal magical thing. I don’t really know the details of how palisman magic works but thinking about it in terms of internal magic source vs external magic source makes sense to me
I think it's actually that the palisman shares magic and strength with its user. It draws strength from you and supplies you with magic in exchange. It would also solidify why it's so important for the palisman and the witch to share goals and care for each other because they are permanently connected and sharing their abilities, whatever they are. However, Edas curse was a part of her, and it transformed not only her magic but also her form. It affected every part of her, not just her magic, and if Owlbert was drawing strength from Eda, it would connect to her soul or identity to do that, and Edas curse was affecting both of those things. It wasn't safe for Owlbert to connect fully with Eda after the curse took over, so Eda couldn't rely on Owlbert for magic. But that's just my theory.
When I first saw the final episode and they said bye I cried because that was hunters line for almost every episode in season 2 that he was in so it made me cry
Papa Titan could have lost his eye when he was much shorter/younger, long before becoming the carcass of the island, and maybe that's how his eye was able to fit on the door. When he lost his eye it could have been replaced by what I think is an ancestor of Hooty.
Families used to entomb their deceased relatives in their homes so the graves in the basement thing would be historically accurate and a neat spooky touch. It's possible the Owl Gang just never unearthed them :)

The Collector was added despite Dana knowing that the show was shortened, the time the collector had could have been time to the bat queen to expand the lore
There was one bit I noticed. Belos had some notes when he was rebuilding the door about things he needed, parts of animals and we saw the animals, but the bits were never collected. Another story bit cut for time I guess.

I think it makes somewhat sense the the eye on the door is papa titan’s because we have seen that he can shrink in size, like during the scene we first saw him
just to correct you with the titans eye being on the portal door, Philip didnt make the portal door. it's somewhat implied throughout the show that the door was created by Caleb and Evelyn, and that after Caleb was murdered, Evelyn hid the door from him. given that it's located behind her descendant's house (later found by Eda). When you look at the door Luz made, it also has an eye on it. my persona interpretation is that The Titan knew what was going to happen in the future (no doubt thanks to the time pools) and helped make the door to aid the clawthorns. and thats also where hooty came from. Like Luz, i think Philip only knew about the portal door because he found out Caleb was going back and forth between the realms. i also think the rebus was made for Caleb if the door was ever stolen by Philip as a backup. Because i think its safe to assume Evelyn and Caleb traveled back and forth between the realms. and that the reason the brothers disappeared is cus Evelyn hid the door after Philip went off the walls. trapping him. and the reason philip worked so hard to figure out how the portal works is cus he wants to get home after his mission, Luz traveled back in time to roughly i'd say Calebs death was only a few months prior. Because he started doing the whole palisman eating thing before Caleb had died. the events around then were pretty tight knit across a few months. Luz meeting Philip at the tail end of that.
The should be a series of shorts for TOH like there is for Gravity Falls. It could have some small adventures from the boiling isles, Hunter's palisman observations, and some adventures in the human realm. It would be awesome.

I had a question also. If the titan trappers hunted and killed titans, could it have been possible that they could have had titans' blood somewhere in their land? They had titan skulls and a full titan skeleton, so it would be a possibility for them to have an abundance of titans' blood. Just a thought
The eye on the door does make sense to me given the fact that luz made herself invisible by combining glyphs, so it's not that far off to think someone can shrink the eye to place on the door
Actually the eye in the portal being too small does kind of make sense… since there are Titan hunters, it is possible that King’s father could have lost his eye at an earlier point in it’s life (titans grow with time afterall)… I’m not saying the other points you made aren’t valid but this one doesn’t work too well

Owlbert after the beast intrigues me, Eda likely had an affinity for owls judging by the hoot hoot graffiti, and the scene of her tf and running off, I always thought of as her not finishing school. Other concerns of the portal, that cracked eye not acknowledged or seen in S1, and it blinking and disappearing when Eda went it. Plus the way Luz and Gus open and closed the Shack implies the front doorway itself is the portal exit when it's active. So if it's restricted to Gravesfield, how did Eda get to Vegas on the other side of the country?
Something I still don't understand: the town where Luz lives and Philip lived before if he was visited from time to time by witches from the islands or all the stories there were just legends but one day inhabitants of the islands arrived and Philip confused them with the monsters of the legends starting the story?

In defense of the eye to the portal door, odds are that a piece of the original eye was taken, the magic inside of it was applied to the door itself, and they used a form of inorganic material to make the rest of the eye for the door. It's not like we knew the process itself in making that door to say that it's impossible.
It absolutely does make sense for Papa Titan's eye to be on the portal door. The part of the eye that would have been put on the door is significantly smaller than the socket itself. Combine this with the possibility that whoever found the eye and made it into the door, I believe a younger Philip made the door structure but never got it to work, made the lense stronger through either potions magic, which is very Clawthorne lending to the idea that Evelyn had something to do with it, or through sigil combos that Philip may have been experimenting with.
Crazy how Caleb finding a palisman is what lead to him meeting Evelyn. It’s ironic, because Luz’s first exposure to magic was also a palisman (Owlbert) which lead her to the first witch she ever met. Eda, who just happens to be a descendent of Evelyn. A Palisman “took” his brother away, and guided a human to end his reign.

I think the Bat Queen is the only plot point that upset me. Knowing the further context that it’s implied she was the titan’s palisman is cool, but the whistle was really pointless in the end.
I imagine the whistle is another thing that would have been brought back if they’d had the time. They even made a joke late season 2 about how they didn’t have the time for a beach episode because it was all kicking off!

*I was honestly upset that Lilith and Amity didn't get any interactions with eachother during season 2 and 3. It seemed like thier relationship was built-up to be a mentor/student relationship during the 'Covention' episode in season 1 and then I felt like it was drafted like it never happen and they never even knew eachother. So hopefully if we get a sequel were everything is placed in the future, I hope they atleast interact even if it's only minor interactions*
Well we got that little hug during the epilogue.
I think the reason that they didn’t interact much is because everybody was going through a bunch of sh*t and they didn’t have time to interact. Both of them got huge redemption arcs. Lilith in season 2 was basically going insane trying to prove to herself that she is a good witch even without her magic. Amity in season 2 was trying to escape from the toxicity of her mother. Though, if we do get anything in the future, I hope that we get more interactions between the two.

Honestly, The Collector was a REALLY impressive character
He had 7 total episodes with short or no speaking lines in 2 of them
and yet in such a short amount of time, they had...A full character arc, developed relationships with the main cast, a 3D complex character, part of their backstory explained, a villain redemption, and lasting impacts on the characters of the show, minor and major.
I hope somehow TOH gets a spin-off, Dana and Co said their optimistic so hopefully it’s possible, especially after the finale there’s so much prequel or future spin-offs opportunities, hopefully Disney realize what they have before it’s too far gone
I want to see a spin-off of the owl house and to see luz and her adventures in the boiling lsles, to see young eda in hexside will be great!

It would’ve given me Naruto flashbacks, you had this great endgame villain setup from the very beginning but decided “You know what I want? Aliens” and Just threw out the whole story just for sequel baiting. My Titan did that manga end horribly
Yeah, I’m glad that Belos was still the main villain because adding in the Archivists would’ve been way too unnecessary for the finale. Better we save them for future projects.
Oh and speaking of the finale, remember a couple months back when Sarah Nicole Robles cried from a moment she recorded for the episode. Well, that moment turned out to be the scene when Luz realized that glyphs no longer work where it marked as the end of one chapter in her life while a new one begins.
I think it would’ve worked better than Naruto, since Belos story had some kind of payoff in the Season 2 climax, and the transition felt natural since King made a deal with the devil to solve their problems
Belos was the 1st main villain to end a chapter, and in the belos chapter they introduced the titan and archivists lore which was a great build up for the next main villains....
I miss not seeing the relationship that must have developed between Eda & Camila... and maybe Im a little sad that loyal Jean Luc never came back to life.

More over, magic. It could've been transmutated into the glassy substance. And third of all, we see they died missing an eye, so they might've given the eye up to set up a passway between realms.
Not to mention, we’ve seen examples before of Demon Realm creatures becoming small after getting injured, like Adegast after getting stabbed with a toy sword in Witches Before Wizards, as well as the Trash Slug after eating salt in I Was A Teenage Abomination. What if this explains why the Titan’s eye and heart are much smaller than they should be, following their death?

Honestly, im glad the collector got included because of how much he reflects how I was at that age. I keep finding new things to go "oh wait, I was like that" about whenever he's on screen. Same issues. Same goals. Same difficulties and traumas. We just handled it differently.

I don't think it's acknowledged enough that Luz ended her journey the way she started it. The first ever form of magic she used were glyphs (aka titan magic, but she didn't know that yet), specifically the light glyph. The way that she defeated Belos with a huge light glyph across the entire Boiling Isles warmed my heart to see how it all connects to her first accomplishment. Her adventures really ended where they started.
And yet she didn't really grow. All that character development went into the white characters because the white woman writing the show hates us

To be honest, the fact that the old portal door is the Papa Titan's missing eye does make sense.
Because remember back on the episode when Luz made the unstable version of the portal door.
The items she used to make it got fused together, so odds are the same happen when the old portal door was made and Papa Titan's eye was included in the mix.
Thus the reason why, regardless of the eye's size the affects of the fusion made the eye fit on the door.
But that's just my opinion.
And there the age old analogy of eyes being "windows / doors".
Maybe its a mature Titan power being able to see or go to other worlds.

My headcanon with the portal door is that the eye on the door isn’t actually the titan’s eye but there is a small piece of the titan’s actual eye inside of the glass eye thing on the door

I assume that when dried out it was basically folded into that shape then any remaining titians blood in it basically crystallized the folded eye. With it being shrunken because eyes are full of liquid it shrunk a little then was cut as it is massively smaller than the blimp sized eyes

I would love to see more focus on character dynamics such as Camila and Eda, Luz and Raine, Alador and his kids (especially Amity), Matt and Steve, Hunter and Darius, Alador and Darius, Amity and Lilith, Hunter and Dell, and especially Amity and Hunter because I want to see them patch things up after the events of Eclipse Lake.

Dana Terrace confirms that The Owl House could continue in the future. I hope we get some good stuff to occupy us. Maybe we can see what everyone has been up to in the past 3 years in between the ending and the reunion as well as past 10 years in Amphibia. Maybe it'll be planned for the 5 year anniversary of Amphibia next year.

I don't know if anyone else mentioned this yet, but WHAT HAPPENED TO KING'S BLOOD SAMPLE? Hooty said the tests were inconclusive, so it was either sent to a vet or a zoologist. Everyone thought it would be used to make a new portal door, but Belos never even knew that King was a Titan until the Collector told him. WE NEED TO KNOW!!!
There are a few things I wanted to know about. Belos was said to be more powerful than Edalyn, in fact the most powerful on the isles. I want to know what else he can do with the magic The collector taught him. How is able to use the magic? What is his curse? How did the tablet end up in the titan skull? 💀 was Philip just going to let the trappers live, and only genocide the boiling isles? What other worlds are out there?

Yeah he carved magic into his skin like his staff. He didn't have a curse, it was [the guilt of] the palismans who were affecting his body and his magic. (It's why I think the owl beast was a palisman, not a titan cousin). This one is truly unknown, I imagine the monarch locked it away in his own head to keep it from people - or could've been the Titan trappers leaving it there as an offering to the collector. Philip was gonna kill every witch and demon he found, let's be real here.

It's unnecessary, but plausible.
I think the titans can change their size, because the size of the heart, skeleton and King's egg in the tower don't make any sense together otherwise.
Additionally, the other Titan skeletons also all have extremely varying sizes, from King-sized to Boiling Isles-sized.
Also also, I think the Owl Beast is probably a titan as well. It was trapped in the scroll by an archivist, Eda and Lilith's harpy forms look like Luz's Titan form, and King and Eda both looked similar during their rage after Luz died.

I'm glad you elaborated on the titan eye, as I had also heard that it is papa's titan eye but it didn't make sense because of timing and sizing. Unless there were witches living on the islands surrounding the fallen titan, they took his eye and shrunk it down via magic and also then moved onto his decaying corpse.
Could be that demons and maybe witches existed before the Titans died out as pets that lived on them. And the portal was a created as a way to save then from the collectors' wrath....
My one thought is when Eda went to the back of her parents house, and it showed the archway, it looked similar to the archway found at the cemetery in Gravesfield. What if it was originally a portal and that’s how Evelyn and Caleb met? Then afterwards the portal door was created.
In regards to the door containing Papa Titan's eye, I'd say it's fairly feasible. The Titan is clearly not the regular form of Papa Titan (just look at the fingers as an example), but King demonstrated that Titans are able to modify their size and appearance at will. So perhaps the eye was lost when Papa Titan was smaller, or magically altered to fit within the door.

If it is confirmed that Caleb is the ancestor of the Clawtorn, imagine that it is revealed that each grimwalker was incomplete (Caleb's DNA was not enough) and Belos had to use the DNA of a witch to complete it and for the current Hunter Belos used the DNA of Eda or Lily making Hunter part of the Clawtorn family directly? (and that's why Belos told Hunter that he was the clone that most resembled his brother because he unknowingly used DNA from a descendant of Caleb)
Where would he have gotten DNA from? of her hair? or perhaps from her blood or other fluid from her?
Well I mean supposedly the majority of the parts he needed to construct a grimwalker came from parts of creatures as well as some part of Caleb. Even if he did need more material of a witch to construct the new body he probably did not use a Clawthorne's body much less their DNA in a while. I mean he spent like a few hundred years just making the coven sigils, some of the first batches resulting in the deaths of several witches. So even back then he had plenty of DNA and extra body parts to use.
At best of the current Grimwalker he made, Belos probably just used the witches held at the conformitorium if he needed test subjects or just more parts for grimwalkers.
I wonder if later clones like Hunter were even made using parts of Caleb. Bodies have finite mass that decays over time. Even if Belos had his body in stasis and portioned the parts he used after a so many he would've used everything. And that if he grabbed his body while it was fresh.
I'm thinking he used parts of the other Grimwalkers especially if he was seeking the perfect clone of Caleb. Hunter was nearly perfect according to Belos. And what little we can see of the visual bodies of the Grimwalker ghosts, some of them had different traits than Caleb and Hunter....

I do not remember the exact number, but the mind of Belos has an area with around about 20 masks of the Golden Guard. A better estimation for how many he made would probably be using the dates of years that passed as Belos was in the Boiling Isles. Then take whatever dialogue and evidence depicted to estimate how many Golden Guards were made.
Either way Belos made at least 15 clones, which means he needed at least 15 parts of whatever body part(s) he needed from Caleb. Perhaps the creator of the show may have put more details on this in their QnA or somewhere.

I love all this attention to detail. We already knew how much Dana Terrace cared, but this really shows it. Something you didn't mention, I don't know if it counts as an Easter egg or not, but I love that Lilith kept her natural hair color and learned how to enter her own harpy form. I also love that Odalia is nowhere to be seen. Probably divorced by Alador.

1. There was a scene with Camila and Odalia meeting each other in the Archives after Belos' death. As Rebecca put it, some "mama drama" ensued. The scene had to be cut from the finale for time reasons.
2. Remember "Human Amity," the cheerleader from s1 and s3? In s1, she didn't have a name, but by s3 she did. Her name was Juliet, although it never got said aloud in s3.

In my opinion, Belos didn't suffer enough. There should have been a scene between him and Caleb kind of like the scene between Ursa and Ozai in the ATLA comics. Also, I think he might not even be dead: notice that King mentions there's still some goo left on his foot after the rain dissipates, and that none of the goo disintegrated into gray dust like the goo encasing the Titan bones did. I even think there are still places they could take Belos's character, Namely: the modern human realm is very different from the human realm he came from, he would probably hate it and become obsessed with changing it back to how it was in his day.
There’s an animatic out there that shows Belos in the afterlife area Luz was in when she saw Papa Titan and Belos sees Caleb and tries BS-ing an apology to him but the souls of the past Grimwalkers drown him down as Caleb condemns him over everything he’s done, I like to believe that animatic is canon and takes place offscreen

I mean I loved it for irony: Belos is killed by a descendant of the witch he hated so much (Evelyn); his latest victim of possession; and the son of the god he claimed to speak for. He does not get to go out with a bang because that would just reinforce to himself that he was the hero all along dying a martyr's death. He tries to have validation through Luz, but she does not give him any of her time and just stares down at him the same way that the ghost/hallucination of Caleb did to him. He has no one that will cater to what he has to say, which destroys his narcissistic ego.
I mean...I see no real reason to keep Belos alive. As far as King's comment, I took that just as a joke. And keep in mind that Belos was in such a weakened state, that I'd doubt his sheer willpower would have allowed him to have enough of a burst of energy to continue like last time. After four years, he is treated more like some scary story of the Boiling Isles. To me, kind of like we did not get that much on the Wittebane brothers because, in my opinion, it was really irrelevant as any love he had for Caleb was drowned out by the sheer hatred that he had for witches. He'd only want his brother back as in someone who was completely obedient to him and would share all his vile opinions on witches.

There aren’t many questions I had, just that I found the Photos Class intriguing. We heard that memories are extremely fragile and even tiny damage can have extreme effects. So what happens to the memories after class? Are they given to the students? Do adults hold onto them for safekeeping? Eventually they’ll wither away, which makes sense. But also, they can’t destroy them, that’d destroy the memories themself. So where do they go? You can’t exactly shove a memory back into someone’s brain, can you? I still want to know
It's sad to see it go. I wasn't a big fan after the first few episodes but after I decided to watch it a couple of more, I couldn't stop watching it. I think Disney made a huge mistake with cancelling this program. It touched areas for everyone. I'm hoping that Disney will bring it back as now I'm invested with all of the characters.
I'm still mad Diseny cut the third season down to 3 episodes. We could have gotten so much from the story if they didn't! They better give us a full sequel series as a way to say 'sorry for the screw up'!

Here's an idea regarding the eye/portal door problem in the Hooty Hole Theory:
Papa Titan would have seen what had occurred when Luz and Lilith went to the past and met Philip. Given that he was actively trying to prevent Philip from learning the glyphs, he would have especially taken note of this mysterious human with an unconvincing disguise who somehow already knew how to make the light glyph, which wouldn't make sense to him at the time, since he never taught her his light glyph, and she just seemed to appear out of nowhere anyway. He also likely would have noticed that Luz was just trying to do the right thing for someone whose evil nature she wasn't at all aware of, and probably noticed Lilith saying that something seemed familiar about Philip's manipulation tactics.
He would have continued watching Luz until seeing her and Lilith return to their original time via a time pool, at which point he would have connected the dots, and realized that
1. Luz and Lilith were from the future,
2. Luz would be someone he would eventually come to trust with the glyphs,
3. Lilith would have been tricked by someone as manipulative as Philip was sometime in the future, but - for Lilith - prior to her traveling to the "present," by which point she would have become disillusioned and opposed to said person's lies, and
4. Lilith and Luz traveling together through the time pool, and Lilith being much older than Luz, meant that he would have to keep watch for Lilith in the future in order to know when it would soon be time for Luz to arrive.
Over the years since then, Papa Titan would have seen Philip slowly gain influence by manipulating witches into fearing Wild Magic, while disguised as a witch named Belos, who would then establish himself as Emperor some time later. Fast forward to when Lilith and Eda were growing up, Papa Titan would have then realized the following:
5. Lilith and her sister Eda were both extremely talented witches
6. Eda was definitely a more rebellious and mischievous (but still ultimately caring and good-natured) sort than Lilith was,
7. Both Lilith and Eda showed an interest in joining the Emperor's Coven,
8. Unlike Lilith, however, Eda lost interest in not just joining the Emperor's Coven, but even participating in the coven system at all, and
9. After Eda was cursed, Lilith became increasingly dedicated to serving Belos, while Eda became more of a recluse who wanted to get away from all the forces in her life trying to force things onto her.
At that point, Papa Titan would have realized that it would be Eda, not Lilith, whom Luz would need to encounter first upon arrival to the Boiling Isles, in order to increase the odd that Luz might somehow be able to put a stop to Belos's plans. In order to facilitate this, he took one of his eyes, and used it to make the portal door, a process which would also cause the eye to shrink to its eventual size on the door itself, possibly due to having to use most of its mass in order to make the portal magic work, but also definitely to make it able to fit on a door, especially one that Eda would be able to keep safe from Belos. While doing that, he would have found Hooty, and decided to use him to further help Eda, by making him the protector of a place Eda had been using as a hideout. He then used a time pool (or similar portal-like thing) to make the portal door appear to Eda when she needed it the most, so that she could not only escape from her own troubles, but also become familiar enough with the Human Realm to be as capable as she could be of helping Luz upon her arrival to the Demon Realm.
He also would have been the one to allow Eda to find King, since he had already arranged for so much of Eda's role in his plans.
The only important critique that I have is that I think they failed Hunter's character in episodes 2 and 3. He never got closure with Belos, and it also would have been better if they had kept building up to that after Willow's breakdown. It's like they forgot about him because they didn't have enough screen time.
Maybe Papa Titan hot into an accident or removed his eye on purpose. Then he put a glass-like covering on it and used it as part of some portal experiments. Perhaps Evelyn’s portal door was actually made by King’s dad, only to be discovered by Evelyn and later Eda. Just an idea, of course.
I think that the finale was as strong as it could've been given the limitations and I'm glad that Dana and her team answered all these questions as none of the answers (besides the titan eye idea) is hard to believe. I'm so glad to have this kind of closure after the series ended and I hope we'll maybe get some graphic novels or a spinoff down the line.

Okay, but the Titan was in many sizes throughout his life. He could have lost it when it was that size, and he’s a Titan….who’s to say the material of his eye couldn’t crystallize or that it was already glass-like?

For example Kikimora's name.. It's shared with that of slavic mythology. A Sleep paralysis demon.

Which further cements my theory that Kikimora might have been redeemed during the timeskip, hence why we saw her doing construction without any guard or shackles, etc.

My biggest question is why Eda never cast Magic with owlbert after she lost her magic. We see Hunter is able to use Magic very efficiently with flapjack and in both of her major fights with Lilith, Eda primarily used owlbert to cast spell circles so couldn’t she and Lilith have just relied on spell casting with a palisman instead of learning glyphs or only using their harpy modes. Same goes for Lus now that she had String Beam she shouldn’t need the titans magic anymore now that she has a palisman.
I think it’s because eda’s curse doesn’t just stop magic, it corrupts it. Remember Eda could play her lute Raine gave her and it made things glow and float, but then everything got corrupted.
As for Luz and stringbean though, I’m not sure 😅

I don’t really know the details of how palisman magic works but thinking about it in terms of internal magic source vs external magic source makes sense to me

I think it's actually that the palisman shares magic and strength with its user. It draws strength from you and supplies you with magic in exchange. It would also solidify why it's so important for the palisman and the witch to share goals and care for each other because they are permanently connected and sharing their abilities, whatever they are. However, Edas curse was a part of her, and it transformed not only her magic but also her form. It affected every part of her, not just her magic, and if Owlbert was drawing strength from Eda, it would connect to her soul or identity to do that, and Edas curse was affecting both of those things. It wasn't safe for Owlbert to connect fully with Eda after the curse took over, so Eda couldn't rely on Owlbert for magic. But that's just my theory.
When I first saw the final episode and they said bye I cried because that was hunters line for almost every episode in season 2 that he was in so it made me cry
Papa Titan could have lost his eye when he was much shorter/younger, long before becoming the carcass of the island, and maybe that's how his eye was able to fit on the door. When he lost his eye it could have been replaced by what I think is an ancestor of Hooty.
Families used to entomb their deceased relatives in their homes so the graves in the basement thing would be historically accurate and a neat spooky touch. It's possible the Owl Gang just never unearthed them :)

There was one bit I noticed. Belos had some notes when he was rebuilding the door about things he needed, parts of animals and we saw the animals, but the bits were never collected. Another story bit cut for time I guess.
Wasn’t the owl house meant to continue but they cancelled the rest of the series because most of the characters were part of the lgbtq community.

I think it makes somewhat sense the the eye on the door is papa titan’s because we have seen that he can shrink in size, like during the scene we first saw him
just to correct you with the titans eye being on the portal door, Philip didnt make the portal door. it's somewhat implied throughout the show that the door was created by Caleb and Evelyn, and that after Caleb was murdered, Evelyn hid the door from him. given that it's located behind her descendant's house (later found by Eda). When you look at the door Luz made, it also has an eye on it. my persona interpretation is that The Titan knew what was going to happen in the future (no doubt thanks to the time pools) and helped make the door to aid the clawthorns. and thats also where hooty came from. Like Luz, i think Philip only knew about the portal door because he found out Caleb was going back and forth between the realms. i also think the rebus was made for Caleb if the door was ever stolen by Philip as a backup. Because i think its safe to assume Evelyn and Caleb traveled back and forth between the realms. and that the reason the brothers disappeared is cus Evelyn hid the door after Philip went off the walls. trapping him. and the reason philip worked so hard to figure out how the portal works is cus he wants to get home after his mission, Luz traveled back in time to roughly i'd say Calebs death was only a few months prior. Because he started doing the whole palisman eating thing before Caleb had died. the events around then were pretty tight knit across a few months. Luz meeting Philip at the tail end of that.

Actually the eye in the portal being too small does kind of make sense… since there are Titan hunters, it is possible that King’s father could have lost his eye at an earlier point in it’s life (titans grow with time afterall)… I’m not saying the other points you made aren’t valid but this one doesn’t work too well

Owlbert after the beast intrigues me, Eda likely had an affinity for owls judging by the hoot hoot graffiti, and the scene of her tf and running off, I always thought of as her not finishing school.
Other concerns of the portal, that cracked eye not acknowledged or seen in S1, and it blinking and disappearing when Eda went it. Plus the way Luz and Gus open and closed the Shack implies the front doorway itself is the portal exit when it's active. So if it's restricted to Gravesfield, how did Eda get to Vegas on the other side of the country?

Despite how much of the Owl House's fandom is made up of adults they still need stuff spelled out for them like an ep. of Dora, you can pick up on the hints that Evelyn is a clawthorn or that Philip was Belos or that Gus knew Hunter was a grimwalker, its obvious
In defense of the eye to the portal door, odds are that a piece of the original eye was taken, the magic inside of it was applied to the door itself, and they used a form of inorganic material to make the rest of the eye for the door. It's not like we knew the process itself in making that door to say that it's impossible.
It absolutely does make sense for Papa Titan's eye to be on the portal door.
The part of the eye that would have been put on the door is significantly smaller than the socket itself. Combine this with the possibility that whoever found the eye and made it into the door, I believe a younger Philip made the door structure but never got it to work, made the lense stronger through either potions magic, which is very Clawthorne lending to the idea that Evelyn had something to do with it, or through sigil combos that Philip may have been experimenting with.
