Replacing a Grundfos Recirculating Pump

Replaced a Grundfos recirculating pump with a new pump. To clean things up a bit, the copper recirculating line was re-plumbed and re-routed. The new recirculating pump was elevated about 12" higher than the bottom of the water heater to help prevent debris from clogging and damaging the impeller.

Nice job. FYI, they have Grundfos recircurt pumps with built in check valves and unions with shut offs to isolate the pump.

Use scotch bright instead of Emory cloth to clean the pipe. Much quicker and works great. Good gob brother.

I’ve use both but the emery cloth was in my solder kit. Guess I’m just used to the emery cloth. Thanks dude!
