- While riding the Oklahoma section of the Transamerica trail I crashed. A simple low speed crash. It got my attention.

I went down for the first time recently because of a rocky hill and boy does it suck getting that bike back up
Yeah. It can be tough in a big bike. But the important thing is always get back up.

Yeah. So dumb. Front brake on gravel n black top. Multitasking got me. Ha
Here’s a sequence. If it won’t start, turn all off, remove and replace fuses. Then make sure you get the starting sequence correct. Sometimes when they stop incorrectly, it disturbs the ecu- removing a immediately replaced fuses resets it all. Cheers

If you're not taking the occasional dirt nap off-tarmac then you're not trying hard enough. I had 4 drops on my TAT ride between critters, soft/slippery stuff and steep stuff... but I was also pushing it (after the first two in the first 1000 miles I eased up then only had 2 in the remaining 6000 and both of them were no speed).
Most of these bikes have an auto-shutoff function when they are dropped... generally the first thing to do is give it a few minutes and then try again.
Just noticed that you were on pavement and had a washout... did you have TC turned off (generally TC will prevent the issue you had)?
It was as simple as some gravel on the tarmac. Front brake and u turning. I was multitasking - filming. It didn’t take but a half second and I was face planted.
But I survived. How did you like the TAT?
I never ride with out a tow strap.

Is this your first major adventure ride?
Yep. It’s a new world for me. I’ve ridden motorcycles most of my life. Raced some motocross and hare scramble. Ridden a lot of dual sport. But this cross country trip on the tat is a new journey. Will continue this. Much more coming.
What route did you use? Not many vids with show these trails

Found it on a website. I googled it and it popped up. But I forgot where. It was easy to download the GPX. Free
Might have a hairline fracture on those ribs. You can wrap you rips everyday with ace bandages to stabilize them to heal. Since all the bouncing around on your bike.
