    I'm not sure which level I have but I need to develop my English until level C1, because my graduation is required that we're this level. Only thus, I can conclude my graduation. Moreover, I have 5 subjects in late. More specifically, English 1 (b1), English 2 (B2), English 3 (C1), languages and literatures in Portuguese, and finally tourism economics. All of the rest I have done.

      yes, our comprehension can get worse when we feel tired. If possible, try to take advantage of small breaks and find your way to re-energize. It may be a short meditation, going outside to take a breather or having a glass of water in a quiet place or even making drawing - I always found it relazing. even if you have no skills to draw.

    I have question first of all I love you channel and your help for us to expand our english language my question is if english is your second language does you have to speak slower than your native language

    • @RealLifeEnglish1
      @RealLifeEnglish1  11 месяцев назад +1

      It depends. You can develop a habit of speaking fast in your second language. But if you speak slowly in your first language, most probably you'll speak slow in your 2nd language as well. We speak slower in our 2nd language either due to translating in our heads or due to lack of practice of speaking.

    • @antoniotarantini1114
      @antoniotarantini1114 10 месяцев назад +2

      I think that speaking too fast is an obstacle to be understood. As an Italian, we do not use too many slangs and not speak as fast as native English speakers. I think that languages are means to communicate. In international contexts at work, it is correct to speak slow and clearly.

    thanks again for your contents, just amazing. 🤩 Actually,I started learning English “by myself” almost 3 years ago so it’s at this time, I discovered your youtube channel. just a nugget 🙏
    I would consider myself in the process of B2 level grammar session,even though some basic ones don’t still want to stick in my mind,writting and reading are not my enemy due to i’m a visual learner (in process of B2 too,probably),listening and speaking are my weaknesses (B1 or less i don’t know because when i speak i tend to only say basic,simple words to say quickly what i want to say).
    Actually I have question:
    1- because I have heard a lot of people from over the world and i can say we all have different speech speed (pace) to speak. my question is even in my native language i’m a slow speaker does that mean i could potentially be a slow speaker in other languages.I just feel miserable to still speak slow after 3 year English study (without talking about school 🤫).
    2- well, i’ve been judging myself that i’m stuck in intermediate plato and I don’t even know the reason why,where the wrong thing is occurring,maybe my motivation and mindset as I have been striving myself to reach C1 level to attend TEFL that is required for.ive been wondering myself : how could I brush this up and level it up but questions still remain in suspension.
    3-i’m really dedicated person and people are used to telling me it.I love watching videos,tv show,listening podcasts,music,doing grammar (actually i want to become an english homework assistant),love speaking with people and so on but when it comes to read and go reviewing things i have already watched,learned is too much and I got overwhelmed. It’s the same with my listening session and Mocs toeic session , more than 30 min and my concentration just go away (it’s an exam so i can’t do it in fractions): how should I train myself and how many hours per day to fight that)-I have no distractions because i turn off my phone but just my brain turn off as well at a certain time. i’m desesperate and hope someone can just point out my mistakes) i know there is no magic key , just consistency,regualrity and practice : that’s why i just need a little push,i love learning languages and is my biggest hobbies.
    4-what tips would you recommend me to do for my listening (actually videos as the same content like you i can understand them without subtitle,even when is talking about travel,food,everything as daily routine life , but what kind of content should i watch to increase my comprehension (i’m not fan of news (too negative) but do you think i should listen it though?
    i have so many questions and they are generally hanging in the air 😆 because they don’t know.
    thank youu a lot again i love your contents, energy and collaborator (-> partners,collaborators,folks i don’t know which one to use 😭
    🌺

      Ciao, I'm studying English and I often have difficultis in understanding mother tongues when they speak fast, especially when they use slangs. In my opinion, high speed doesn't mean you can speak English, but it means you can't communicate. If you use English at work, your goal should be understanding and being understood, so you have to speak at right pace, not too fast. Communication should be your goal. In a meeting, I often can communicate with non mother tongues. Probably, in the future mother tongues will be studying how to speak to be understood. 😀

    • @enory5983
      @enory5983 10 месяцев назад +1

      Ciao Antonio, yes I second that. I don’t really want to speak fast is just I feel guilty to be lower than the average and constantly thinking about how I must formulate my sentences 😊

      There are many mistakes in your comment I dont think you are B2
      I am actually pretty good at listenning and I think that is because I used to watch youtubers who speak in english even though I didn't understand them but little by little my level got better and I started to understand everything they say .So I think you should keep going without feeling sad because it is just a matter of time until you fully understand them ❤

      First, 4 hours might be too much. You may shorten the "watch" time period and add some 30 min of deliberate practice - learning new words, breaking down grammar and working on your pronunciation. You always have to combine passive learning and deliberate practice to achieve results! Thank you for learning with us!
