    It is an evolution of the profoto system. Another option would be you could have your assistant with the phone/ipad and you could instruct them to make the needed changes. Now they do it on a phone/ipad instead of walking over to packs saving a few minutes here and there on a shoot add up.

    A great video! I really love the way you show us how to use the flash and you got a great result.
    Seth, I have a question. I'm a wedding photographer and for an indoor reception, the first dance and the cake cutting, I use a speedlight on my camera but since I shoot at a fast pace, the flash has to be able to recycle quick and as far as I know, there are only two flashes that meet my requirement: Profoto A1/X and Nikon SB 5000.
    I have the SB5000 and I'm using it with a battery power pack( 12 AAs) and it lasts almost all day. So my question is , how long the A1 battery last? Some reviewers say,it lasts all days and others say,it doesn't last long and if you're not using the flash during the shoot, it drains the battery quickly.
    Another question is, I'm getting an used one but some reviewers say that over time, the flash head became loose and it would not hold the same angle anymore. What is your experience?
    I really appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

    • @LastXwitness
      @LastXwitness 3 года назад

      Well I used to shoot all sb-910 like 6 of them at a time with the Sd-9 battery packs. And I can confidently say the A1X -A10 speedlights have lasted longer for me but also depends on how you’re using them. Full power? Hammering down shots? It’s all a factor. The fact that I don’t have to carry 12 batteries PER LIGHT and possibly huge chargers for them is an enormous plus and money saver in the long run. Also keeps my batteries consistent as I only worry about the single lithium batteries health not 12 random AA.. as far as the tube. I’ve have the original A1 the A1x abd now the A10s. I own 7 total… I beat the hell out of them… drops all over the place etc. never had the heads be unstable …but I will say the original A1 head was def too loose for my liking and thus we have the new head on the A1x and A10. I wouldn’t even go for an A1 now unless it was super cheap. I’ve demoted my last one to being my on camera trigger but it’s still a great light

    • @LastXwitness
      @LastXwitness 4 года назад

      Thanks so much Chris hope you’re well! (Idk if we’ll see a cross over on brands I think they’ll have to make a deal with the camera brands to have on board strobe menus. So maybe it’ll be profoto getting to that integration first 🤷‍♂️ just like pocket wizard was built into quantum strobes etc)

    Hi Seth,
    I really enjoyed the style of your video. You introduced a new product but without concentrating on 'marketing' and mindless specs, that people can pick-up from the internet. Specifically, you put the features in the context of a specific photoshoot, which was very informative and also the entire point of using kit.
    This is a lot more informative compared to videos that compare, based on the presenters opinion, this piece of kit versus that piece of kit.
    Great video and informative contribution.
