We visited the home of Dianxi Xiaoge, a food vlogger from Yunnan who’s famous for her soothing cooking videos in the Chinese countryside.
She has over 11 million followers worldwide who tune in regularly to get a glimpse of life in rural China. She took us inside her home and village for a behind-the-scenes look at how everything gets made.

This video took me out of a lot of doubts, I always thought 'how is it possible that this girl and others like Wildgirl or Liziqi have jumped the fence of the government of their country having the opportunity to post on a platform like youtube? while in China using that platform or many others from the west is very difficult not to say almost impossible.

Her style is so similar to liziqi. I always thought she copied liziqi..
The interviewer is polite and genuine, but it also helps that Danxi is open, welcoming, and very eager to share her behind the scene stories. I like watching her videos the most because of its authenticity and down-to-earth feeling. Vibrant and warm colors, and wide shots of home and nature that naturally frames her and her family gathering. Unintrusive feeling; it's like we're literally peeking at the bond she and her family has over food. It's just so warm, and from this interview series, it's as warm as Danxi herself.

Exactly what I was gonna say. lol Been wonder if they make those into a bread or something. Dang their pigs are well-fed. I had the impression that they'd be given commercial feeds too or just random vegetation and left overs. lol

I love watching her. I think what she does is very valuable because the average person does not understand or associate how food was made "in the past" or garden to table. They eat meat and don't associate with an animal.

This girl is the real deal, when I watched the video with liziqi it was all secretive and I had the feeling she didnt want anyone to see what really happens in her "home". This girl shows us everything. One can see she really does everything herself and could explain everything. I'm so happy to have seen this video to see who really is the real one between the 2.

I dunno about real deal, I think both Ziqi and Apenjie are very talented and capable women who shoot amazing videos, but I've noticed myself gradually stop watching Ziqi's uploads whereas my love for Apenjie has just continued to grow, and it's because she seems more down to earth, friendlier and actually interacts with her viewers. Ziqi, on the other hand, remains a faraway, untouchable legend.

I would like to really meet her in person. All of her videos are so peaceful and real. I wish I was there on her journey.
