It is like the SR-71 of automobiles, and my very first matchbox car, truthfully I think the best ones are the kit cars, I do not want a 5.4 or a V6, I was going to get a C-8 corvette, but I realized I was just trying to satisfy my GT-40 craving
The original cars in le mans had a 289engine and a few of them the 427.289 round 380 hp,the 427 round 480 hp. In the pursuit scenes in bullit your the gt 40 exhaust at the shifting.
Almost gotta have two, but if you could only have one make mine a 05-06. The new ones are nice but they don’t have the classic V-8 growl. Kit ones would be great for track days,but wouldn’t be much fun on a long cruise. I guess I’d take any of them!! Great cars and able to hold their own against almost anything.
@@RPM-wd9rbThey’re all replicas.Left hand drive and center console shifters.Originals had right hand drive and the shifter on the right side of the driver.Different taillights and different rear end panel from the originals.
Thank you, thank you so much for this! Had a tiny toy replica of that car (the 60's version) as a kid. It just had this "it" factor. Was it the white stripes? I don't know. Favorite toy ever, and for my money (never had any money), the most gorgeous car ever. I think Ford seriously messed up with the second modern version it.
