YES! i finally found a naturalista that has a similar hair texture. I feel that its important because some hair tips don't work for me simply because i have a different hair texture :/

Oh my goodness, I have always been struggling with poofy edges whenever I would wash and dry my hair. I'm ready to wear my hair natural more often, but never knew how to handle that problem.
You have opened my eyes. I am so gonna try that 'pinning down' technique.
    Thanks!

It looked very good in the beginning,
but even better towards the end ( 4 day hair)
I took notes and I'm definitely going to try this method
the next time I do a wash n go. Thanks, great vid!

this has been the most informative hair tutorial that I have ever seen for one simple reason: now I finally know my hair type I have and the styles and products that will work on it via seeing it on you. It doesn't seem like much, but just seeing someone with the same hair type as your own and styling their hair and achieving things that you weren't sure you would be able to try is a real confidence booster. Thank you 💖

India, your breakdown method has revolutionized my life, but in particular it has given my wash n go new life. I went around some naturalistas yesterday who have seen me in the earlier days of my natural journey and they said my hair looks better than it ever has. Thank you for sharing your hair life with us!

I’m soooo glad I found this video. Out of the many natural videos I’ve been watching I think your hair type is the closest to mine. When I would define my curls my roots also get puffy on top of shrinkage. The other videos I’ve seen, their hair was actually curly and not kinky so thank you for this soooo much

i have had a natural hair style now for almost 2 years this October and i have just now learned to embrace my curls and i'm really into looking into great hair care products to bring the most out of my hair! i love the fact that you mention what hair products to get because i read this book by this guy named Andre who does Oprah's hair and I learned a lot about hair regimen and maintnance in that book, but i wish he would've mentioned some products!

Thank you SOO much for this video, I'm a new natural who has about neck length curly hair when wet. After that it puffs up quick, looking like I have little to no length. Almost every video is about naturals with long hair who want big frizzy hair. Thank you so much again.

ya'll! i i tried this on my awkward stage 4c hair without even knowing that India did a video on this! I did this on strestched hair and only defined the ends of my hair. I used warm heat, but I think I'll go with the cool setting now that i know that this method works! my coils also only lasted for about 3 days.

At like 4:03 you could really see how the roots of your hair are dull and the middle to end are more shiny. Try using the curl enhancing moisturizing cream. It creates shine for your hair and reduces frizz.

I am home, mid week, on my day off. I wanted to find out how to stop my ends from knotting up.
To my wonderful surprise, google led me to you! (So happy) Your hair texture and the concerns you describe are exactly like mine (oh joy : ).
I stopped perming back in 2009 and began flat ironing. only to discover it was equally damaging. So, I stopped. The real natural journey began.
Today, you showed me how to control the knotting ends. I'll let you know how it worKs for my hair. Thanks : )
