Mannn he has an amazing voice. I'll just never be able to take super angsty SMASH Jeremy Jordan seriously again because Winn is so frickin adorable on Supergirl. 😂 He tipped his hand, lol. Such a sweetheart, with such a voice.
Jeremy sang this song in his one man show last year and it made me burst into tears. That performance hit very diffrently from this version, but still both versions are just amazing! I love this song so much
Omg thank you so much I've been looking forever for this Thank you Like truly this is one of my favorite moments in Smash❤️ like I have a poster of this in my room 😂
@leidipimentinha there's not many shows you can say this about but yes, this is true. Season one was garbage. Season two was so much better. It's a shame it didn't go further than that.
@@goeltrolden Everyone’s allowed their own opinion. For me personally, it wasn’t Jeremy Jordan himself, but that the character he was playing was entitled, bratty, selfish, and demanding with no real redeeming qualities (other than his singing). Andy Mientus’ character was nothing more than a plot device, although that’s softened a bit by the character’s likability and Mientus’ talent. The other big thing I wasn’t a fan of? What the viewers saw of Hit List just wasn’t that good. The dialogue was forced and pretentious, the songs were mostly okay to good, and what was revealed of the plot was borderline ridiculous and frequently made no sense. There was absolutely no way any producer worth his salt would have taken it to Broadway without extreme changes.
@@goeltrolden But the biggest thing that bugged me, above everything else? They kept trying to tell the audience that Karen was better and more talented than Ivy, even though the character is as bland as Katherine McPhee’s acting performance. (But at least they had the good sense to give her music that’s MUCH more suited to her vocally. McPhee has a great voice for pop songs; traditional Broadway-style showtunes, not so much.)
Jeremy learnt some "basic" piano in college studying musical theatre. He specifically practised this song so that it would look realistic when they were filming (even though the songs are mostly studio recorded except for "The Love I Meant to Say" which he sang live). He also sings each time they do a take so that it will look more genuine. Also I believe he was still in Newsies at this time so I don't know where he found the time to practise! He has a piano at home and did most of the arrangement work on "Oh What a Beautiful Mornin'" for the R&H Goes Pop initiative.
The look of her face is the same one I had when I first heard him sing too xD
I mean she only has about three facial expressions throughout the entire series...
Imagine being able to hear Jeremy sing in person, I would either pass out or have tears in my eyes
I have and yeah, that reaction is accurate
@jake cuevas same it was amazing and he hugged me and I died
Or both😂
I'll be both
I've seen him twice. Audience is generally quiet - stunned
I’ve been looking for this scene for so long, very thankful because Jeremy Jordan is amazinggggg
MY favorite scene out of the whole show, so raw and real. ❤
The moment I fell in love with Jeremy Jordan (his voice)
Love love love this song and Jeremy Jordan as golden pipes
When I first saw the aired episode I couldn't believe my ears, 8 years afterwards it still moves me to tears

LOL just watch him as Varian in the Tangled series. You get both super angsty AND frickin adorable, all in one character! XD
Still miss this show!

Thank you so much for putting this up :)
I love your videos
Thank you so much :)
I love when he tells the story about reading the script for this first episode. To me, this was the best moment of season 2.
Yeaassss. Its amazing
I always come back to this video because I love this show but the way she holds the phone up to record him always makes me laugh
Omg thank you so much I've been looking forever for this Thank you Like truly this is one of my favorite moments in Smash❤️ like I have a poster of this in my room 😂
Wow so beautiful… i loved hearing this on the finale as well
Baby Andy. I met him a few times. Great person.

I miss this show. I can believe it got canceled. Doesn't make any sense
I wasn’t that surprised when it got cancelled - the second season was a hot mess with horrible writing.
@@ShowtuneSampler hard disagree. Season 2 was the best. Jeremy Jordan and Andy Mientus being a big part of it

is Katharine left-handed?
Does Jeremy know how to play piano, or did he learn this just for the show?

@@annacheeseman3481 he did newsies and smash at the same time for almost two months. Acctuallly, he Plays the piano very much better
I'm sure he probably knows piano, but in this he is playing way to low on the keyboard
God, season two was a train wreck.
