It’s too bad this couldn’t include Katerina McCrimmon, currently amazing grateful audiences around the country in the national tour. Simply stunning, & one of those “I saw her when…” moments, knowing this still quite young woman will become a huge star, if this world makes any sense at all.

I always thought they (the producers within the show) should have split the role. Marilyn has that duality. So Karen plays Norma Jean and Ivy plays Marilyn and they interact with each other as facets of her personality trade places as her confidence ebbs and flows.

Lea’s too shrill - there are plenty of singers out there with fuller, clearer voices. A good college style singer, no more.

I was listening without looking at the photos and every time I was impressed it was Julie singing. The others all did a good job. Lea indisputably has a great voice and has been practicing for this role for a long time.

@@kathyneko julie shouts for the purpose of acting. i totally understand her choice with the words "fake it." lea shouts for the purpose of showing herself off, and to supplement where her voice can't sing. also, just from a technical standpoint, lea's technique is nowhere to be found.
@@gwynfromRARE LMFAOOOOOOO the absolute delusion 🤣🤣🤣 there is a reason why julie will never reach the heights of lea and other Broadway stars and why sales dip every time it's her show (and why when Lea calls out people COMPLAIN and are disappointed). She's just not that great no matter how her delusional fans prop her up, her singing is subpar and her acting is over the top and unconvincing. Lea, despite being hated by people who are chronically online, is respected as a stupendous talent. Choke on that 🤭

Also, no, lea is not just hated by people who are "chronically online." she's hated by every single person of color who's ever worked with her. People complain when she's out because stardom blinds people to true talent. Julie's career is on the rise, and hopefully, Lea's is over. Lea can play Rachael Berry, and Rachael Berry playing Fanny Brice. That's the extent of her talent. Julie on the other hand has emotional depth and doesn't only perform to show herself off, but to respect the work. Did i mention she's the only Fanny Brice since Barbara Streisand who is able to replicate Don't Rain on my Parade in it's original key? I'd like to see you try to sing like that. I've heard a horse neigh as well as Lea Michelle can sing. Choke on that, and get some therapy, for the sake of us all.
@@gwynfromRARE LMFAOOOOO you have an education in music? With those ears? Have you seen Julie try to sing the song? HER NECK TENDONS ARE NEAR BURSTING LMFAO. She has terrible breath support. Julie's rise? Her song release from the Harmony album was largely ignored, because people cared more about supporting her to spite Lea than to actually, you know, support her. Her engagement has rapidly dropped and aside from her 5 rabid fans, no one really cares to watch anything she's in. You'll see how she becomes semi-relevant due to Lea's stardom to a nobody pretty soon. ;)

Julie has such an incredible, rich, timeless voice. I genuinely got goosebumps every time she was singing.
I got the honor to meet Ephie today at a rehearsal for my local theater’s production of funny girl. She was so sweet and super nice. Love you Ephie 🫶

Beanie was better than I imagined, given the comments. They're all good. Lea is wonderful. Barbra still the best. The songs were written for her.

If people are really gonna sit here and say that an understudy and a standby are better than the actual actual star then you guys have problems now if you want to say, she’s better than if you wanna say they’re better than Feldstein then by all means, go ahead and say it because it’s the truth now if he should be the standby in my personal opinion because she’s just that good Julie is Take it or leave it but Lee is the greatest star. There’s no denying that.
