It looks amazing! I've dyed my hair black multiple times and I was wondering whether or not you would recommend doing this on my hair. My natural color is brow by the way.
It’d be a little hard going from box dye black to red because that dye typically has only worked for me on virgin hair or if I haven’t dyed my hair in a longgggg time lol
i was just watching another video, and they said to use color remover! and right away after dye the hair red. (after removing previous colors, it'll get beck to virgin hair and it'll come out patchy so dont worry) and then dye red on top of that! you can research this.
I have dyed my hair a level 1 blue/black for years and did this. The 1st time I did it I used a 30 volume and it turned my roots bright magenta, and the rest of my hair a dark dark red, So I basically got hot roots. I did it a second time with a 40 Volume, and added a red intensifier and and it lifted my ends a little more, but I wish I would have used a color stripper, like color oops or something first to get the level 1 black out before I did this.I am going to do it a 3rd time and use the ion booster to open my cuticle and hope it lifts alot more. But it still looks good right now. I get alot of compliments already with the way it is, the say it looks like a reversed ombre.
Oh and make sure u only use COLD water rinsing and washing. Try not to wash it alot, and get a good red color depositing shampoo like Quantum Reds at Sally's, Or the ION Magenta Mask that deposits color
So I'm trying to do this exact color but I have black brown hair do I just color on top with out bleaching and hair remover?
would this look similar if i dyed my hair brown then went over it with red? also did yours come out light because the product had bleach in it?
yes, if you dye your hair brown and go over it with this product it might look similar but if you do it over natural hair/blonde it will come out brighter and more vibrant! and yes, this product does have a bit of bleach in it. i was unaware of that at the time of making this video, but i did do an updated step by step video explaining more about the process(:
Oh i also dyed it brown and now i wanna go red 😅
So you did use developer then & not just the hair dyes?
Was your hair virgin? I am trying to do this color I have dark brown hair and I've never dyed it before. Any tips?
She said she's been dying her hair black for years, it was just faded at the beginning of the video.
This dye works good on virgin hair
hi!! What was the ratio of your hair color to your developer?? thank you!! dying my hair for the FIRST TIME and i am so nervous lol
2:2 :)
So did u touch ur roots the second time u did it?
Did you colour it the same day second time?
Pls let me know if this developer ruined ur hair? Is it like the bleach?? Does it make the hair dry and damage??
How long did you wait to dye it again and did u do the same routine??
I'm in love with your red hair ❤
I've dyed my hair with black multiple times, it has been 2 years for my last time.. my natural hair is brown, do you recommend me to dye it twice with red? Because I'm afraid of using bleach or hair remover!! ❤❤
Hi there. I was in the same boat as you. I’d recommend using a colour remover before you do this method anyway. Its not as damaging as bleach & it would probably deposit the red out better on your hair. Mine turned out great! I followed Romance’s tutorial on it & it did me wonders.

hey, how long did he dye last in your hair? and what color does it fade to?
It fades into a beautiful copper 😍
Did your hair get damaged form dying it this color??
How much of the developer should I use? I also have long hair. Great job!
If I she had black hair dye in there and her hair is normally dark probably 30. She lifted up quite a bit of levels. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. Personally my hair would of never survived
double the amount of the hair colour. 1:2 hair color:developer
Hi its beautiful. Did you use in total 8 boxes or just four? Because you did it twice thank you
she only used 4, tho that means she probably used the first 2 boxes the first time
for the second time did you use a 30 or 40?

It's def your color. Thank you for the video!
How much developer did you use?
How long did u leave the color in your hair for
Would this color come out the same if I have black hair
I saw a video of another girl doing it with super black hair but her hair was virgin hair and her freshly dyed hair was bright red.
yess! use 30 developer, maybe use protein hair filler, and if its not as dark as you want, try doing it a second time. The hair dye she used is perfect for darker hair. "L'Oreal hicolor highligjts in mgenta"
can someone tell me how it looks after it fades? does it just fade back to how it was before ?
nirjala ! My friend’s faded into orange. I call her Bronze now 😆😆😆
Can you put the link of the dye in the description
How many tubes of dye did you have to use? My hair is long like yours so I’m not sure how many to purchase
2
hey how much perox did u use for the mix of the colours?
Please help me lol Have you ever bleached your hair? I really want my red hair back. I had black hair dye and when i dyed my hair red the first time it only got the roots and then when i kept dying it it kept going lower and lower but i had spots like red and black. Right now my hair is still black not extremely though its like brown on my roots and when i lift up my hair and its black too.
did you use a regular red hair dye or the loreall hicolor highlights? the hicolor highlights has some bleach inside of it but its not as damaging. That dye works so good and theirs so many positive reviews on it. if your using a regular box dye it propably wouldnt work, in my opinion :/

i used a regular box dye, do you recommend that i use the colorzap from loreal? it removes hair dye but it doesnt contain any bleach supposedly and then just go in with any red hair dye? thanks for replying btw(:
sorry i barley seen this, i never heard of colorzap but i would watch some reviews before using it. & no problem (:
Yuliet Felipe im a cosmetologist so youre best bet is lightening it sadly because color doesn’t lift color :( & i would use professional lightner & professional hair color , box dye SUCKS ! good luck !
Wow. Wish I had seen this video before I went and spent $200 at the hair salon for this color. The color is beautiful but the lady didn't even do a great job. She missed a spot right smack in the front of my head and around the front of my hair there are obvious darker patches. I have colored my own hair for years and never had any blotchy spots EVER. So from now on, I will continue to color my own damn hair.
yes girl 👏🏼 you should try this out i’m sure you’ll love it!! 💓
how long did this color last?
i decided to dye it black right away (a month later) so i cant really give an answer as to how long it lasted. i will say that i had it on for a month and the color did stay(:
Hello..I will be dyeing my hair tomorrow.please advise hoe long you kept the dye in your hair
I’m so sorry I barley seen this! ☹️ I kept it on for about 40 min to an hour
@@CarissaMelissa thanks for the reply..I did color it..but it did not reflect as red as it should.I believe I should have bleach my dark hair first
I think if you repeat the same steps all over again it should come out. I had to do it twice, using two boxes each time.
These products already have a very small amount of bleach in them, but it’s not as damaging as actually bleaching your hair, in my opinion.
@@CarissaMelissa thank you so much.I will give it a try tomorrow again.
Was this applied on virgin hair or was your hair dyed already ?
She said she's been dying her hair black for years, it was just faded at the beginning of the video.
You did that!!!!!
How long did u leave the dye on each time?
30 min :)
After how many days should i aply the colour again?
I believe I did it the next day.. however, it could be damaging to your hair. If you’re worried about damage, I would wait a couple of days until you reapply :)
Andabas tinte negro o castaňo oscuro ???
does this work on box dyed black hair?
Yes (:
Did you try to do it??
How much developer for 3 boxes??
double the amount of the hair dye.
I love this !!❤❤❤
I like this hair color
Amazing ^^ this was so helpful to meeee thanx u
