Hi, first of all, thank you for all your great comments that really enrich this video! Few updates here: -- I've received the prices from Mooer: Different countries might have different prices, but this is the "starting point": $549 USD, €549 Euro, ₤499 GBP -- We have noticed a discrepancy between the Mooer Web Site, where it is reported that the looper last 30 seconds and the user manual (that you can download from the Mooer Web site), where there is reported that the looper last 30 minutes. I've tested by myself and the looper lasts 30 seconds: I've asked clarification to Mooer and they confirmed that the looper last 30s. Thank you once more for all your messages!
Hi Leo, first off I LOVE your channel, videos and playing. Thank you for the content. I am currently in the market for a unit/stomp/processor. I have basically narrowed my decisions down to this Mooer GE 300 lite or the Ampero II Stomp... which one do you think I should go with??
Its only a good thing that more and more amp modelling gear is frequently released. It promotes good competition and the tech will only get better. Stunning legato as always.
I juste pick up one and I'm very happy with it despite the fact the software have a critical issue on Windows and doesn't work. Good to know: on the amp simulation section, the power amp can be disabled by choising "Off" on the tube selection which is quite usefull if the Multi-effects is plugged in the FX Loop return of a real amp. Thank you very much for your video that help a lot to take my decision.

Hi Leo. Thanks for all the amazing videos. Since you have played with this unit and the HX Stomp. What do you think is the best? Greetings from Brazil! (Sorry about my english.)
Hi Rafale, well...I don't know if there is a clear winner, I think it depends on your needs. For sure one of the great feature of the GE 300 is the possibility to profile amp with the GE Labs app and for instance you can profile your own amp with pretty good results. It also has more foot switches to better support live gigging. On the other hand the HX Stomp is smaller and lighter and it has line 6 effects, if you like them. So, I think they are very different machine for different needs and the choice really depends on what you need. Thank you for your message and sorry if I can't be more "definitive"
Thanks a lot Leo. I am planning to use the unit into the effects loop of my amp (Blackstar ht20, wich you already made a video). But also, I would like to use it to record some videos. I think I will buy the mooer, since the amp sims sounds better and since it doesnt have only 8 blocks and the dsp issues that the HX Stomp has. Again, thanks a lot. And keep doing the amazing job. I've been watching your videos since I was looking for the Blackstar (8 months ago)
I hope your next upload will be comparison between HX stomp and GE300 lite. Love to see that! Hopefully it will help me decide and choose between the two.

Hi, in order to switch the channels of your amp you should use the EXP 2 out of the Mooer GE 300. Hi Gary, until now no presets for bass are available (as far as I know). No, it does not convert the guitar in MIDI signal. in order to convert the guitar in midi signal you would need something like the Fishman triple play, that you can check out in this video: ruclips.net/video/iomSIORjLnI/видео.html Thank you for your message, and sorry for late answering.

Hi Leo! Really love your videos! I was wondering about 2 things. The first one would be: how does the mooer ge 300 lite feel against line 6 helix? Would you say that it feels better, equal or inferior? And, last one, do you think would work great for small gigs? I've read that there is no gap when you switch presets (that would be great considering that this unit does not have scenes function). Greetings from Peru!
Hi, thank you so much, I'm really happy that you like the videos!!! I noticed that I didn't do a direct comparison MG 300 vs Helix....and the feel is such a subjective thing...I should do a direct comparison to answer, even if I would say that there shouldn't be a drastic difference. As regards small gigs, I think it works great. I have to say that I'm not so picky in terms of preset switching...therefore for me the MG 300 is fine. Thank you for your questions!
Hi Leo !!! these reviews are stellar!!!, I'm curious about the reaction of the modeled amps in concern of dynamics and articulation of the GE300. I'have an Atomic Amplifirebox and in this aspect i Think is extremely good (is really responsive to my change of dynamics in picking, volume change or mic positions of my guitar) , do you think the GE 300 is up to Amplifire in that aspect or maybe is better ?? Thanks for all your time
Hi, thank you so much, your appreciation really makes me happy! Unfortunately I don't have the Atomic, so I can't tell, I mean I can not judge the differences. Nevertheless the GE 300 is pretty good- Thank you once more!
Hi, I do agree for the 4 channel USB. As regard the exp pedal, for me it's not a big issue, as I can attach an external exp pedal if I need it (in my opinion obviously), and are more the times when I don't need it, than the times when I really need it. Thank you for your message!
Comparison request: GE300 lite Vs GE 250 (mostly because of the price range) and the PodGo. I suspect the GE250 might win but it seems the GE300 lite might have a shot :)
Hi Armando, I already did a comparison between the GE 250 and the Pod GO, that you may want to check out here: ruclips.net/video/1jdd221XmXY/видео.html I will think about a comparison with the GE 30o lite: thank you for your suggestion!
Hello Leo, maybe you can help me I just received my GE 300Lite but it says I need a firmware update to use the software. Nowhere in the instruction manual or online can I find what buttons to hold down when rebooting to update the firmware. Maybe you know and can help thank you love your channel
Hi Brian...I.ve found the procedure...it is written at the bottom of this page: www.mooeraudio.com/companyfile/GE300-Lite-Downloads-150.html These are the steps: •Unzip the file, install the software. Recommend not to connect GE300 LITE with your computer before the install finishes. •Power off GE300 LITE, connect GE300 LITE to computer after the software is installed successfully. •Press the SELECT knob. Power on GE300 LITE, hold the SELECT knob until it is booted to UPDATE mode. •Open the software, click on START to start updating. It will take a few minutes to finish.
Hey Leo! I ended up buying this unit basically after watching your videos. You really ended up convincing me! However, my output signal when recording is very low, forcing me to increase the volume by 8+db. This is through USB. I was wondering if you had this issue at all? I also wanted to know if you'd recommend recording through an external audio interface, and if so, which one would you recommend? Thanks!
Hi, I'm using a Mac and I don't encounter this issue. In order to obtain better results I think you should buy a pretty high level audio interface: using the GE 300 via USB you basically have only one conversion, I mean the one from analog to digital that the GE 300 performs. If you buy an audio interface you would go through two more conversion stages: Analog to digital and then back digital to analog performed by the GE 300 and then analog to digital again performed by the Audio interface. For me this is worth only if you have an high end audio interface and you add a preamp in the chain before the audio interface, like an API 512, which provides you with some specific nuances that you may like. Thank you!
Ciao Leo.
Ciao Leo! sempre interessantissimi i tuoi video!
Grazie
Hi, I would say that for recording I already have my high end audio interface and so I'm not going to use these unit for recording guitar, and that I would rather prefer a unit for live use, therefore in this scenario I would probably go with the 300 as it has more footswitches, and furthermore I love the possibility to profile amps. Thank you for your question!
Hi Leo, I'm a big fan of your video comparisons and reviews. They are done very well! I was wondering if you could answer a question for me? I have the GE 250 and it has a "Cab Sim Thru" feature which allows you to bypass the cab sims to the 1/4" outputs while at the same time sending the cabs sims to the XLR outputs. I was hoping this feature would be available on the GE 300 Lite, but after consulting the online manual it appears that you can only have the choice of the fully effected signal or a dry signal! No mention of cab sim options. Is that the way it is or was the description just worded wrong? I would like to be able to send everything except the cab sims to my guitar amp, while at the same time sending everything, including cab sims, to my mixer. Thank you!
Thank you so much, I'm happy that you like the channel! I have to check out...if don't hear me, it means that I have not found a way to do it. In the meantime, if someone knows, please drop us a message! Thank you!
Hi thank you so much!!!! No, it does not. As far as I know, it's like the regular GE 300: neither of the offers a drum machine. Thank you for your question!
Ciao Leo, grande!!!....
Hi Emiliano, yes, I have to make a comparison video between 250 300 and 300 lite ... I have to find the time. When I make the comparison videos I listen to the sounds carefully and I check out the technical characteristics. My first impressione is that, if I remember correctly the specifications, the 300 lite has two selling points vs 250: the possibility to use 2 microphones simultaneously in the simulation of the cab and the highest number of foot switches. The lack of the exp pedal can be solved with an external exp pedal. For the final decision I would wait my comparison video... :). Thanks for the question!
Questo è quanto riporta il manuale: "Separate the effect chain in to two parts via the FX LOOP. The effects in front of SEND are connected with the INPUT of the amplifier while the effects after the RETURN connected with the SEND of amplifier directly. For example, the wah, compressor, overdrive, distortion, pitch shift can be placed in front of the INPUT of amplifier; the modulation, delay, reverb should be placed after the preamp of amplifier." Grazie per il messaggio!
@@LeoGibsonGtr aha, capito. Ho capito bene?
Hi, any of the two does the job in my opinion. The possibility to load profiles offered by the Mooer is a pretty nice feature to have! Thank you for your message!
@@LeoGibsonGtr thanks Leo, from your great demo's its very clear that both offer fantastic tones, maybe I would be more comfortable gigging with the Go...
Do you believe the GE300 Lite is better than the Ampero 2 Stomp? I am on the fence between both since they are close in price but I see the 300 lite is a bit older. What is your opinion? @leogibson
Hi Matt, I'm a little bit a nerd of the converters...but I think that the differences are more related to the way Mooer and Boss create their amp models more than on the 24 bit vs 32 bit, and the 114 dB of dynamic range offered by the 300 lite, is already a pretty good value. Maybe if we could have the same unit, with the same algorithms and the same models, then we could make an A/B test. Thank you for your message!
Hi, I would say that it depends. If you need also amp sounds, you have to go with the GE 300 lite. Nevertheless I think that the value for money is higher with the GE 300 lite. Thank you for your question!
Hi, I've just received the prices from Mooer: Different countries might have different prices, but this is the "starting point": $549 USD, €549 Euro, ₤499 GBP. Thank you for your message!

I've tested by my self and it last 30 seconds, so you are right, thank you for noticing it!!! Personally, I dislike Mooer processors. It's hard to describe, but they feel very 'square' to me and very unnatural. Hotone still has this feeling, but much less, and with IRs is actually really impressive, which may be due to the sound being more scooped. My favourite is still the gt1000. It has that unique Boss sound.
Man, you really do some of the most useful reviews out there!

Hi Leo !!! these reviews are stellar!!!, I'm curious about the reaction of the modeled amps in concern of dynamics and articulation of the GE300.
Nevertheless the GE 300 is pretty good-

If this modeller had a 4 channel usb and expression pedal would be perfect. Thanks for your videos.
Hi Armando, I already did a comparison between the GE 250 and the Pod GO, that you may want to check out here: ruclips.net/video/1jdd221XmXY/видео.html
I will think about a comparison with the GE 30o lite: thank you for your suggestion!
@@LeoGibsonGtr you are right, I have seen all of the videos and I forgot about it :) waiting for the comparison with the GE lite :)
So among the GE250. Pod Go and others (on the 500-600 usd range).. which one wins for home use in your opinion Leo?
Hello Leo, maybe you can help me I just received my GE 300Lite but it says I need a firmware update to use the software. Nowhere in the instruction manual or online can I find what buttons to hold down when rebooting to update the firmware. Maybe you know and can help thank you love your channel
Hi Brian...I.ve found the procedure...it is written at the bottom of this page: www.mooeraudio.com/companyfile/GE300-Lite-Downloads-150.html
These are the steps:
•Unzip the file, install the software.
Thank you!
Ciao Leo.
Grazie a te!
Ciao Leo! sempre interessantissimi i tuoi video!
Grazie

Dear leo, I love your videos, could you tell me, what pedal will You choose between the hx stomp and mooer ge 300 Lite
Thank you!

Hi - Nice demo - Does it have a drum machine?
Hi thank you so much!!!!
No, it does not. As far as I know, it's like the regular GE 300: neither of the offers a drum machine.
Thank you for your question!
More CONS: mono FX loop instead estereo like de Ge300. Only 30s looper instead 30m Ge300.
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
For example, the wah, compressor, overdrive, distortion, pitch shift can be placed in front of the INPUT of amplifier; the modulation, delay, reverb should be placed after the preamp of amplifier."
Grazie per il messaggio!
@@LeoGibsonGtr aha, capito. Ho capito bene?
Perdonami, credo che mi hai già risposto :)
Nessun problema, grazie a te!

Do you believe the GE300 Lite is better than the Ampero 2 Stomp? I am on the fence between both since they are close in price but I see the 300 lite is a bit older. What is your opinion? @leogibson
I think it depends...I don't have a black or white answer...I'm sorry and I should do a direct video comparison to answer properly....
The boss gt 1000 is 32 bit while this is 24, how much of a big deal it's that really??
Hi Matt, I'm a little bit a nerd of the converters...but I think that the differences are more related to the way Mooer and Boss create their amp models more than on the 24 bit vs 32 bit, and the 114 dB of dynamic range offered by the 300 lite, is already a pretty good value. Maybe if we could have the same unit, with the same algorithms and the same models, then we could make an A/B test. Thank you for your message!
What’s the best: this Mooer or tc electronic x5 With boss od-200?))
Hi, I would say that it depends. If you need also amp sounds, you have to go with the GE 300 lite. Nevertheless I think that the value for money is higher with the GE 300 lite.
Thank you for your question!

Mooer website says it has a 30 second looper not 30 minutes
Hi, yes, I wrote a message that you can find in this section about it. For your convenience I report the message also here: "We have noticed a discrepancy between the Mooer Web Site, where it is reported that the looper last 30 seconds and the user manual (that you can download from the Mooer Web site), where there is reported that the looper last 30 minutes. I've tested by myself and the looper lasts 30 seconds: I've asked clarification to Mooer and they confirmed that the looper last 30s."

The looper is actually 30 seconds, not 30 minutes fyi.
Hi, good point. Actually, there is discrepancy between the Mooer Web Site, where it reported "30 second looper" and the user manual (that you can download from the Mooer Web site), where there is reported 30 minutes. I've tested by my self and it last 30 seconds, so you are right, thank you for noticing it!!! The Mooer GE300 is far superior
Hi, thank you for sharing!
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
All these Mooer multieffect pedals lack clarity, in my opinion.
