the G11 has crappy IR handling, but run through a real cab, or running the Zoom DI into a software IR loader, as you showed in the last few examples, sounded better than the Mooer, or at least comparable, but using the onboard IR made the Mooer sounds LEAGUES better, as the Zoom sounds... lifeless, and even muddy. While I have a studio quality, rack mountable power amp, and would happily use it live with my 4x12 cab, I would use this for the described scenario I just detailed. However, a good 60-70, maybe even 75%, of people would NOT use it in that way, and would use it as an AIO solution like that, which, tbh, is likely the intended usage, anyway, which given how terrible the G11 sounds when used that way, is... disappointing.
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion! IRs nowadays are pretty common and there are a tons a good ones around, so it is still surprising me that some amp modeling pedalboards builder does not put enough energy and focus on good IR. Thank you for your message!
@@LeoGibsonGtr tbh it's more about the way the G11 actually HANDLES impulse response processing, as the same custom IR sounded like hot garbage on the G11, but sounded great on the GE 300. Meanwhile, the G11 sounded better played through an actual cabinet and mic than the GE 300. For someone with a power amp and cab, or someone with a Mooer Radar or Nu>X Solid Studio, the Zoom would be great. I own a Zoom G1XOn, and have owned multiple Zoom interfaces, from the original hand-me-down 505 from my dad, to the 505 II he bought for himself that I used more than he did, to the G7.1 Ut that I owned at one point, the built in cabinet sounds are always TERRIBLE. The amp sims and pedal sims and the WAH and the echos, delays, flangers, and verbs, literally anything else is usually at least PASSABLE, and they've just been getting better and better and better, but the cabinet sounds has gotten WORSE, if anything. Never buy a Zoom pedal for the cab sims, and they'll never disappoint you. Buy one for that, and you'll be let down every time.

I just bought the Mooer GE300... a little bit disappointed, I had high expectations on this, unfortunately the sound is to “crispy” on distortion and reverbs and chorus sound really chip. And for 720 dls I can take nothing “chip” on this pedal board. I have already returned it.
Mooer wins here. I think zoom g5n with external ir pedal = sound of zoom g11. I like sound of my g5n, but GE labs software sounds way better. If mooer ge300 sounds exact like ge labs then i will immediately buy ge300 lite =)
@@colindias4820 g5n has some problems with creating good tone to sit in mix, with strong bass and not muddy overall tone. It possible but with different compressors before and after amp.

Mooer sounds pretty close to the amp with the custom IR. Zoom just sounds bad all the way. So if you have the possibility, depending on the stage you play, go for the real amp. GE 300 is for those places where you can't set up an amp with a cabinet.

Can't believe Zoom insists on doing this ridiculous underpowered DSP. TS drive and the amp plus cab already took 46% of the processing power! Simply ridiculous! It makes it impossible to use all the best effects at the same time.
@@LeoGibsonGtr would you please make a video commenting on this? My G5n had that as well. The best drives and rebverbs would take 20% of processing power each. It would be interesting to see if Zoom has finally improved on that front. Thanks.

Following you, above all for your great demo songs 😬
Thank you, this is an amazing compliment Stefano!!! Really appreciated!
Please please make a Review on Zoom G5n aswell 🙏🙏🙏
Mooer all the way!
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
I have only seen 2min and I like the mooer better
Hi thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
G11 hands down
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion!
the G11 has crappy IR handling, but run through a real cab, or running the Zoom DI into a software IR loader, as you showed in the last few examples, sounded better than the Mooer, or at least comparable, but using the onboard IR made the Mooer sounds LEAGUES better, as the Zoom sounds... lifeless, and even muddy.
Very interesting! Thank you!
Another great review video and killer demo track! How does the GE 300 stack up against the POD Go? Would love to hear your thoughts as the POD is almost half the price. God bless and rock on 😎👍🎸
Hi, thank you so much!!! I've done a video comparison between the POD GO and the GE 300...so ... I need time to compare the POD GO also to the GE 300....thank you for you patience!!! God bless you tooooo!
With internal CABs both are incomparable with Real JCM and also with IR a lot of high frequencies seems lacking especially on Zoom: is this really the best sound that can be produced? Would be better with Line6 or Headrush? Thanks
I'll go for mooer🥰
Thank you for sharing your opinion!
I just bought the Mooer GE300... a little bit disappointed, I had high expectations on this, unfortunately the sound is to “crispy” on distortion and reverbs and chorus sound really chip. And for 720 dls I can take nothing “chip” on this pedal board. I have already returned it.
Hi Erick, thank you for sharing your opinion and experience.
Mooer wins here.
I think zoom g5n with external ir pedal = sound of zoom g11.
I like sound of my g5n, but GE labs software sounds way better.
If mooer ge300 sounds exact like ge labs then i will immediately buy ge300 lite =)
I love my zoom g5n as well
.
@@colindias4820 g5n has some problems with creating good tone to sit in mix, with strong bass and not muddy overall tone.
It possible but with different compressors before and after amp.
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us. Actually you can load in the GE 300 the profiles done with the GE Labs. Thank you for your message!
@@АндрейПолевой-я5иso hello again ... are you talking about playing live or recording ? Cos playing live it's really good and it cuts through.. and in a studio mix too.. it's pretty decent .. maybe you can check out my channel where I play solo with the g5n .. and let me know what you think of the tone .. thanks ..
@@LeoGibsonGtr but are there the same sound of effects? And there are no poweramp section in ge300
Very Interesting !!
Thank you, your feedback and support is super important for me!
Mooer sounds pretty close to the amp with the custom IR. Zoom just sounds bad all the way.
So if you have the possibility, depending on the stage you play, go for the real amp. GE 300 is for those places where you can't set up an amp with a cabinet.
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
Νice video Leo! First comes your playing and last come the machines :)
Thank you, your comment makes me happy 😃!
Wow. Now that was good.
Thank you!
can you compare nux mg300 vs axe fx iii
Hi Sarah, currently I don't own neither of the two units...but I will get an MG 300 and I have a Fractal FM3...so maybe I will do something like this. Thank you for your suggestion!
Thanks!
You are welcome!!!
Zoom g3x g5 still the best
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion. Many of you are asking a comparison between the G11 and the G5. If I will be able to find a good second hand g5 maybe I'm gonna do a video comparison. Thank you!
i pick the g11 over ge300 it sounds way better
ok, thank you for sharing!
The mooer ge 300 gets the sound close of the jcm 800 amp than the zoom g11
And for its price you can load profiles
For this one , mooer ge 300 got my vote
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
Mamma mia che suonare! Leo are you italian?
Thank you very much! your compliments are really important for me! well ... I’ve promised that I will reveal my nationality as soon as I will reach 10k subs.... if ever :)
Excelente.
Does g11 has a pitch delay as g5
Zoom has difficulties on transients for me.
Thank you for sharing!
I prefer ge300
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion!
The zoom sounds terrible.. the Mooer didnt sound that much better until the IR. With that JCM would have been nice to hear a hot humbucker
Zoom g5n with ir wins
Even the g3xn is damn good I would never upgrade to g11 in my opinion is still far behind all these multi fx pedals in its price range
Ok imma buy strymon iridium then
Hi, the Iridium is a solid option, especially coupled with something like the Plethora X5...I did a video about this couple, that you may want to check out here: ruclips.net/video/2ntzOw-BuL8/видео.html. . Thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
@@LeoGibsonGtr i was thinking on pairing it with helix fx since I'm way more familiar with line 6 stuff
Odotan mielenkiinnolla ja laitan sitten lisää selvennystä
Hi, I'm sorry, but I don't understand your language...therefore I can't reply
Mooer is the better choice...
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion!!! The profiling procedure is a cool feature indeed...
@@LeoGibsonGtr yes it's great (I use a jtm45 profile, I love it) ...and I still haven't used the tone capture and the synth.
Ok, thank you for sharing!
Na ordem : real, mooer ge 300, g11.
Can't believe Zoom insists on doing this ridiculous underpowered DSP. TS drive and the amp plus cab already took 46% of the processing power! Simply ridiculous! It makes it impossible to use all the best effects at the same time.
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience and opinion with us!
@@LeoGibsonGtr would you please make a video commenting on this? My G5n had that as well. The best drives and rebverbs would take 20% of processing power each. It would be interesting to see if Zoom has finally improved on that front. Thanks.
Hi Paulo, thank you for your suggestion...I will check out if this is compatible with the video schedule. Sorry, but my channel is still small and I'm doing everything by my own...so I need time to make videos. Thank you for your patience!
Prof paulo totally agree the zoom g5 had better processing power than the g5 from my experience also like they went backwards from the G5,G3,G1xon
How are the amp sim in both the products sounding so different? Are people deaf at Zoom / Mooer???!!!!!
Hi, may I ask you if are you referring to the sounds with IR or with the stock cabs?
Thank you!
@@LeoGibsonGtr stock Cabs.....the IR’s makes them sound closer to the real amp ...
Hi, the cab influences a lot the final sound. We don't know how they did them, but it's very rare to find two stock cabs from different manufactures that sound similar. I don't know why, but typically external IRs sound better.
Thank you for your message!
Gigged with both. The GE300 is crap live compared to the G11
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience!
Zoom still behind!...
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
Ciao Leo, e questa l'abbiamo considerata? Senti un po' che suoni! Certo, ha pochi tasti, ma... ruclips.net/video/tal_L_5STP4/видео.html
Ciao Roberto...è in lista 😊 ...ma non è ancora disponibile all'acquisto...se non comprandola direttamente dalla Cina...Grazie per il suggerimento!
GE300 is toy for children. Terrible reverbs, delays. No stereo!!! modulation effects like chorus and more.
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion!
Without a mix, both sounded like the guitar amp is packed in bubble wrap....
