I have a fun idea for a challenge. Could y’all please catch eight Pokemon of your choice that all have random abilities. Both of you also get to pick out the move sets after catching the Pokemon. Once you both acquire teams, read off each of your team members’ Pokedex entries. If the one being read to correctly identifies a Pokemon entry, he gets the option to force a trade without knowing the moveset of the identified Pokemon. The player who gets the identity correct is also able to pick out a custom ability for the traded Pokemon. Sabotaging some of your own team members is legal. Let’s say that the two leftover Pokemon with easy Pokédex entries are physical attackers like Machamp. You can rigg the entire moveset to be special or support moves. The Pokemon can’t be pseudo legends, legends, paradox, ultra beast, mythical or, starters to make it a bit more challenging.
@@oniontree879I mean yeah Armarouge is literally the middle child no one cares about and Ceruledge is the cool younger child who everyone loves.😂 I was literally saying the other day after replaying S&V that they really fucked up by making Ceruledge look and sound ten times cooler than Armarouge. Tiddlywinks - that said, this video for as long as it was, might have been my favorite you guys have done. Just the sheer plays you two went through, utilizing all your options. I get that normally you two do stuff "for the content", but this entire video felt like a high intensity match between two pros. Absolutely incredible props to the both of you
Shady, you have my absolute respect. You get unlucky when it matters but you still either make it very close or just win. First the odds in shiny, then dylan picks a non-shiny from the bunch multiple times, so we battle with Dylan's buffed team with normal mons and in the battle get critted when matters, attacks misses when matters and still after all that stacked against you, still pull through with the wins. What a GOAT man, salute to you.
This has to be one of the best then we fight video ever, I really enjoyed the sweating. I would argue that this was a more competitive and stressful battle because no one had insanely overpowered pokemon, thus making it better to be able to read your opponent and think on the go. Hope to see more vids like this one, a nice breather in comparison to other battles were each person had a full set of legends!!!
I swear, Dylan says "He's never seen this before in his life." Every single time Chilling Reception is used. And I feel like 90% of it is when he's battling Shady.
I feel like Shady has been raging more than ever before, that poor desk is holding on by a toothpick. Granted his luck has been worse than usual so I don’t blame him lol… poor guy
Videos like this are why I became a shady person 10 years ago. I feel like at his best, Shady is up there with say pokeaim and Shofu when it comes to battle strategy. Even through throwing and being the most unlucky person ever in these videos; he still manages to pull out the W or keep the game really close. Love the more competitive content, it's absolutely what I'm here for.
God do I love the fact that Shady named all the mons after characters from such an UNDERRATED anime. Zatch Bell was an absolute favorite growing up, and if you don't know there is a sequel manga that is on going.
Maybe he was predicting knock off from Dylan? That's the only reason why he would do something like that if he didn't make a mistake, but even then, synthesis on a regular Lurantis is very questionable let alone an assault vested Lurantis.
Zatch Bell theme for the nicknames, Shady? All of my yes, thank you so much for that! Not often we see a video this long, but a spectacular presentation for all three battles. Thank you both. Also, o7s for more reasons than one, tiddlywinks, and...well, glad you got the team preview up on the versus screen for Round 3.
I HAD to come to your channel to post this for you because i got a CRAZY idea, randomizer: you look at your three starters and pick one for the enemy and they do the same, you don't know what you get til the very end. The catches are! if you pick something for them that has stat totals over 550, you get to pick either any ability or one move of your choice to YOUR pokemon of that round. If you pick something over 720 you can get BOTH. you can also make it that if you pick a pokemon with TOO low a base stats you get a negative thing, like a bad ability such as truant or pickup or slowstart or only 2 moves on your pokemon but idk pokemon well enough to know the stat tresholds for garbage. .....So the info you will tell the other person each round is where they are in the lineup And THATS IT.. feel like you can get some crazy mind games because you can give them a garbage mon but they give you something good so now that garbage mon has any move and any ability or you can give them a ARCEUS but they gave you minun and now they have truant and two moves on arceus lmao. feels like chaos!
It is really great to see. Most of these fights are just one sweeper and then fodder, but having the stat/ability buff made even Volbeat a vital team member. Some of the best battling in "Then We Fight" history
You know, at a certain point I just completely forgot this wasn't a DBD video and I was wondering what Shady would take for himself and give to Dylan at the end, and then I remembered that it was a Shady video LOL
This was some of the craziest battling I've seen from a "Then We Fight" video. Major shoutouts to both of these guys, they accidentally pulled awesome counters to a lot of each other's teams. I had an interesting idea for a video, if Shady is interested. It's called "We Buy Our Starters from an Auction, Then We Fight". ~You each get $10,000 which you can spend on buying a choice of 3 at an auction. Win the auction, you can choose any of the 3 Pokemon. ~The auction is hosted by a third party (ex. Shady and Luke fight each other while Patterrz hosts the auction.) ~You also have to buy moves, which each move costing $100. For a full team of six to have 4 moves, you would need to set aside $2,400, but maybe you only want some Pokemon to have 2-3 moves so that you have more auction money. ~Items cost $50 each. Same with moves, you might want to forego items for more auction money. ~For Abilities, you can choose any of the 3 available Pokemon's normal Abilities to add to a Pokemon (ex. Your starters are Gyarados, Excadrill, and Lurantis. You can take Sheer Force from Excadrill and give it to Gyarados.) ~Certain rounds of the auction yield extra rewards. (ex. One round you can give your Pokemon an illegal move, one round you can choose your opponent's Pokemon, etc.)
I love these longer, really even battles. You guys get to show off a lot more strategy and reading the opponent Drawn out battles *can* be boring, but thats more so if theres things like blissey in the mix. Where nothing happens for 50+ turns
@@MaximillianParish I think it didn't click because volbeat outsped it with its own prankster in the first game, so it could have been easy to assume it was double speed.

This was absolute cinema, I love watching battles that involve so much switching around cuz of favourable and unfavourable match ups. It really keeps you thinking for what to do next. I was pleasantly surprised watching Vileplume put in so much work, Strength Sap is goated for sure.
So like, I've recently discovered the Then We Fight videos. I binged them throughout October and been watching them, re-watching them, watching them with Patterz's reaction and bingos. I've discovered Vintendo/Original151 and followed the whole group of friend that do these. A longer TWF video is *definitely* something I'ved enjoyed.

This was a very entertaining video. It was nice seeing so many pokémon you usually don't see. We need more of this! 😁
007 shady, you can do this! Dylan may have all those crits and shinies but you got the true skill!
Well freaking played, this was FUN to watch!
This video was amazing seeing both of you talk through your plays even tho it was a competitive battle was great watching that vileplume was the mvp
Can't believe how unlucky shady was but he still was able to put up some good battles
This was a marathon!
Clicked without seeing the length to prepare dinner and wow!
Great battles, also! Loved it
5:57 Me: doubles attack choice band galvanise Tera electric explosion 🫡
Tiddlywinks! It's so fun to watch these.
This was absolute cinema, I love watching battles that involve so much switching around cuz of favourable and unfavourable match ups. It really keeps you thinking for what to do next. I was pleasantly surprised watching Vileplume put in so much work, Strength Sap is goated for sure.
You guys should do a round where you blindly choose the others Pokémon and double a stat for the mon. 100% random total chaos
Tiddlywinks -- also, very good work from you both. I hope the engagement reflects your efforts.
2024 is a straight o7 for Shady.
You guys are the sole reason I’m getting a switch just to play Pokémon y’all make it so entertaining whilst being so sweaty 😂
Insane plays from Shady to keep it that competitive considering Dylan had WAY more shinies
Me yesterday- "A new shady video, I will watch it before I go to sleep...
Wait, how long?!"
It took two days but we got there 😂
Love videos like this. Wish the later games kept stuff like triple battles, rotation battles and sky battles. Be interesting to see you guys sweat those. Even as a series
