You would be surprised just how much work can get done on something like this. I'm not saying that an iPad is good at everything, but I use my Nexus 7 for textbooks, reminders, and even some C++ programming. I wouldn't want to edit video on something like that, but the portability, convenience, and battery life make a tablet a very tempting option...
Well, the ipad is more like a toy, but a Surface RT, or any Windows RT/8 Tablet with one note and a capacitive stylus... then you are talking about a Tablet where you can actually study AND work.
I gotta say though, the ipad is well constructed and is a great product and a great idea. But you cannot use it for real work. I mean, iWork is fine, and you can use it in a mac, but in an iPad? Really?
Teachers using iPad to draw = That's what the white board is for. Kids drawing on the iPad = That is what the paper is for. High school students using iPads to read = Any eReader is more than capable and that is what the books are for. Apps = Any computer is more than capable to do. Where is the advantage of the iPad/Android??? Funny that college students are using $1,200-$2,000+ laptops to type when a $400-$600 are capable of doing the same thing.
Jajajaja, that's true, but the ipad is really a toy, can you really be productive with an ipad? You can not even access to the file system, you don't have any USB ports, and yes, there is the cloud, but an USB port is really necessary in some places, and of course a way to access to an USB device, such a pendrive, there's where the file system kicks in.
This is what Technology is for, for the betterment of humanity and not its distruction, its there to move humanity forward to a better place.
