Hi Kristen , as a Australian and I’ve had many High teas in Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore. Your scone is nothing like the proper English scone with jam , cream or lemon curd. Plus in hotels they petite fours as the small desserts. Your sandwiches looked great. At least you didn’t get canned tuna in one of the sandwiches I experienced once . In Australia we pay between $65 -$130 for a high yet don’t tip . $120 is quite normal . I experienced one and it was the same price it had a chocolate fountain and an unlimited buffet of small desserts. Maybe try the English version of high it might change your mind. Great video.

As always, I love your honesty. Apart from the cost, this afternoon tea seemed about on par with tea at other restaurants I have experienced, except you were allowed to try all the teas. The tea places I have been to only allow a person to choose one pot of tea. I would love for you to try the afternoon tea at the Four Seasons and then do a comparison. Even though the cost was high, and the reservation system atrocious, it would be interesting to see how the experience compares. Thank you again! I do love a good scone. This appears sweeter than a scone from England more American. Clotted cream comes from Devonshire England. I got a cream tea while traveling there! Still for this price a petit four would be better.
You mentioned about butter on the bread - yeh, we butter the bread to make sandwiches in the uk. We also always have our hot tea with milk. But we don’t call it hot tea… it’s just tea lol. We have iced tea here, but it’s not much of a thing. Herbal or fruit tea we don’t have with milk, but those aren’t as popular. It’s the norm for brits to drink cups of tea multiple times a day lol. Anyway, this was hilarious thanks.

I waited so long last Friday night in the bakery. All i got was a $13 magic bar. It did not taste like anything. Definitely not magical. A coconut and toffee blondie at Hollywood studios for half the price tasted so much better. I'm glad i never spent anymore money at Cake Bake

Ridiculous price!! I had tea at Fortnum and Mason in London. 75 pounds and phenominal food. It was all you could eat plus a beautiful side table loaded withe gorgeous sweets not served with tea. I would be insulted with the offerings you had. Great video tho.
The scone ( pronounced scon ) should be split horizontally to leave two halves . A layer of jam and then a layer of cream on top . Some alter the jam and cream depending if you're from Devon or Cornwall .

Scones are usually dry by nature, but I love the orange cranberry as long as it has glaze. I buy them at my local Shoprite, or make them myself. Tea with sugar and half and half, even my Earl Grey and Lady Grey,

Though the scone looked good as a standalone! That was a lot of fun - if somewhat of a rip-off - but I would note that you forgot to do one thing: crook your little finger while you drank the tea! 🤣
I was thinking since you are sitting by a window you should have opened it and tossed some money out of it. I am hoping at the end you throw off the gloves, pearls and fascinator as you walk out the door. My dad was English and I grew up on tea with milk it's comforting to me today. You never had a scone you need to make a batch look up Ina Gartin they are so good, I love Chai Latte tea I buy the Keurig pods and it has cream already in it.S you should sell fascinators along with tee shirts.

If they curated local ingredients, they could lower their costs while providing the customer a much greater perceived value for the experience.
