Here’s a really fun fact: Fairuzia Balk went to an occult store in LA to do lots of research before filming, and found out if was going to be sold and turned into a restaurant because the owners couldn’t afford the upkeep anymore…so Fairuza bought it in order keep it in business and preserve it.
Naah Rachel's wig was way more better, i actually noticed that its a wig in the craft when she made herself blond i was like, thr roots r definitely fake thats a wig
Rochelle’s story was originally about an ED cuz the role was originally for a white lead. When they cast Rachel True, they rewrote it to be about racism.
Tbh I kinda wish they had gone for the ED storyline over the racism one with Rachel True. I think True did great with what she had, but it felt surface level compared to the other ones and I never really got the feeling that the writers understood why and how racism was damaging, just that it was.
Haven't watched this movie in a while so I can't really say whether the portrayal of everyday racial trauma was done well or not but I appreciated it nonetheless. There's so little representation when it comes to racism that isn't overtly hateful or violent. Sometimes the more mainstream sensationalized portrayals of racism seem more geared towards assuaging white audiences where there's a clear good guy and bad guy and as long as you're not the one slinging racial slurs or throwing bricks you can count yourself as one of the good ones. I liked how in this movie the racism just was. It was an everyday injustice that was socially acceptable not because the mean girl was a terrible racist, but because she has certain privileges as a pretty white girl. Even if it was moderately surface level? I felt like an invisible experience of mine was being portrayed on screen and that was pretty cool.
Fun fact is I am a witch. I was maternal ly related to the last few hung in England. My entire family are witch bloodline but most don't actively use it. I've never had to use all the crap I see some use, my dreams etc and intuition are strong, I know alot of things I shouldn't and know things that are going to happen. I've many times said certain people are going to die, nobody believes it as these people are usually quite good in general when I say it but it's happened so many times. Witchcraft is something you don't mess with unless you are experienced, know what your doing, how to protect yourself, others and your home from any negative energies. I've always relied also on the elements and natural energies around me. Karma is a very real thing and anything you do that messes with someone's free will, does harm etc will have a 3 fold rule. Doesn't always happen straight away but it will happen.
Because the brown wig was worn for months during the entire film shoot, and the blonde wig was only needed for one short scene. Wigs can cost tens of thousands of dollars for a realistic looking custom made one, and they obviously didn’t have the budget for a second quality wig that would only be shown on screen for 30 seconds.
I loved this movie growing up, I’ll admit I had a crush on all those actresses. I was a teenager lol 🤣 But also grew up kinda liking witchcraft and was raised by a positive witch who practiced just a bit of that stuff. Nothing as cool as changing hair color by a spell but oh well 😝🤪
Omg, I'm curious if the actresses you mentioned played the parts in my mind of what they were auditioned for or what they wanted or productions choices.... cause I swear some of them would've been great for some roles too. Like Angelina being Nancy lol alicia being Sarah. Scarlet maybe playing bonnie?
Fun fact: Holly Marie combs who would later star as piper in the TV show charmed also auditioned for the craft but they went with neve Campbell instead
In honor of Lindsay Lohan's comeback film _Falling for Christmas_ coming out in November 2022, any chance you would consider doing a _Get a Clue_ fashion analysis video? It's easily one of the best-dressed DCOMs, if not _the_ best.
Not the 1996 wig being better in quality and applied so much better than most of the wigs in movies today 💀💀💀
No that wig line is HARSH
@@dolphinswilltakeoverfor the blond one yeah but not the brown one

Your right , I think the name was Enchantments . If I'm not mistaken Fauruza Balk is a real practicing witch, or was back then .
How do you find an occult store? What's the names of them?
@@Heartless-oi3sptheres "new age book stores" that have books, crystals, stones ect try to google if there are any in your area
so interesting that neve campbell has kind of a minor role in this film that came out the same year as scream which made her an icon
She was my favorite and in scream ❤
Ok because that wig deserves more respect. Wow!
That wig was just as good, arguably even better than Rachel McAdams' wig in Mean Girls
I think it’s better.
Naah Rachel's wig was way more better, i actually noticed that its a wig in the craft when she made herself blond i was like, thr roots r definitely fake thats a wig
that’s a freaking good wig, i loved her hair so much in that. the brunette one

Still can’t believe they never acknowledge her at shows and she had to sit in the audience whilst the other girls get their props
Whats ED?

i wish alicia was in the movie too she’s one of my favorite actresses
My favorite movie of all time! I loved all cast members ❤ ugh I miss the 90s movies so much
I always thought her hair looked funny at times but never thought it was a wig. Also that wig is better than the while legacy sequel movie.
Wait... That was a wig???? Why the brown wig looked so much better than the blonde wig?

Cool facts. I just saw this for Monster Madness and this was the first movie of the the month of October I watched.
I didn't know that was a wig!! would have been cool to see Alicia and Scarlett and a ED story line seems interesting
The funny thing is you can see which actresses were supposed to fit which roles
I always knew it was cgi and a wig
Wow, this is wild. I definitely need to rewatch The Craft again now!
Fun fact: Holly Marie combs who would later star as piper in the TV show charmed also auditioned for the craft but they went with neve Campbell instead
If they kept Rochelle’s ED storyline - I wonder what her spell would have been? I guess the ED could still have been the result of bullying.
omg i’ve been watching you for so long but had no idea what you looked like; ur absolutely stunning !!

I didnt get that movie
Omg yeassss
Lets get an all male Craft remake. Really flesh out that lost ED storyline.
They kinda did with The Covenant. I mean they even had The Winter Soldier in it. But somehow witchcraft movies just work better with a female cast.
@@s_shaleh Oh I was making a dick joke. Since I didn't know what she meant. The only meaning I registered was Erectile Distinction.
THE ROLE FOR ANGELINA SHE WOULD HAVE OWNED IT….BUT IM HAPPY SHE DID FOXFIRE 🫶
