I love what you've done here Sebastian. Beautiful. I also must say that this tune, with this guitar, and however you are amped and EQed, you've nailed the old sound perfectly. Better than I've heard from you before. This is it. All the other electric steel playing you've done was excellent, but this one, this tone surpassed all.
🎶Thanks🎶 Your instrument really sings and cries🎇Delicate, slightly restrained manner, gives an indescribable charm to the charm of Hawaiian melodies 🎸You are a master of subtle interpretations. Please share your masterpieces more often on the channel
Excellent! That is a gorgeous lap steel that sounds as good as it looks. Its in the hands though, I know it. Great playing and great tune...again. Much thanks.
Masterful Hawaiian steel guitar technique as always, Sebastian, but I don't think you played it with the spirit that Sol did, as this hymn (it's a hymn - not a "tune" for entertainment, not just a "charming" song) deserves.
Steve, my first instrument was the Tenor Horn, playing for years in the brass section of my local church, I wouldn't perform a hymn if I couldn't relate to it.
@@HawaiianSteelGuitar I listened again Sebastian, and it still almost hurts to hear it. Way too much technique, it overpowers the words. I wish you would drop the Hawaiian style, which was natural to Sol, and find a way to express what the song/hymn means to you in your own way. Maybe that was what you were doing, but it didn't come across to me.
This old Gospel tune is played so beautifully, thank you and God bless.
Very glad you like it !
