Just discovered this RUclips channel a couple day ago. Great information. One thing I would like to see is some of these reviews done at a slower swing speed so that the average golfer could relate. Thomas is hitting his 7 iron as far as I hit my driver.
Happy New Year from a cold and frosty, but bonnie Scotland. Another fantastic and informative video. Thomas, do you have to adjust anything else in your swing when you put the ball forward in your stance? Will having the ball ‘too’ forward affect direction (fade more)? Many thanks.
Thanks for watching! When moving the ball in your stance, the face angle will likely change based on your swing movement. The ball further back in your stance, for example, would likely launch lower with a more open face angle. The opposite is true if moving the ball forward.
Great job Thomas. Going to Flordia until April 1st. When we come back we are going to Ely Mn BWCA the middle of May for 2 weeks. I will not be far from your locatin in Minneapolis on the way up, and will plan to stop for a day for a fitting session and maybe pick up new clubs on the way back to Ohio. I wish you had a location in Flordia. If you were close to the Villages resort area you would sell allot of clubs. There are really no good fitters that have your knowledge in that area. Thanks again
How much distance on average would you lose with 1500-1800 more spin? I've hit on a sim a few times, I have a fast swing but need to get that contact through the ball as the ball speed isn't there to match it. Either way, my backspin nears 3850 sometimes over 4k, but never under 3500. Obviously I know I really need a fitting, but how much is this killing me? Hover around the 245-260 total distance, few get up there near 270, or 280+ with a lucky bounce.
Got some tips on how to keep enough spin on it to keep it in the air if you toe it a bit. I have a similar launch to yours but tend towards the toe and hit those dive bombers with about 1200 spin about 1 out of 10
Looks like increased attack angle is the way to go. I already fight a pull hook and, for me, moving the ball further forward in my stance seems to exaggerate that. Higher on the club face seems to work best for me.
You didn't talk about the landing angle, the 9 degree shots were coming at 30 degrees and the others were all at 40 or more degrees, thus more rollout. The question is which of these 3 changes are you taking to the course?
Real great content but please sort out the sound turn the microphone down because it sounds like your screaming into the microphone.. Could you do this test with a 12 ° head and turn it down in loft for comparison . I was fitted 2 years ago for a 12 ° ping 410 plus because I was struggling to get any real hight ( 82 " at the time Carrying 215 on average ) but since then I've made some changes and now even my average ball is carrying 235 with a general hight of 130" with basically zero runout so I'm considering changing to a low lofted driver to get a more optimal peak hight and runout .
I would definitely turn down the loft of your driver. With your speed (based on average carry of 235 yards) you are definitely getting too much height. Obviously you would need to be fitted properly to the driver but in your position I would try the G410 in a 10.5 degree head
@@justinstephenson9360 Appreciate the advice have it turned down to 11 at the moment fittings in my area are pretty naff , ( Bishop Auckland area of Country Durham.... I had to travel to close house to get fitted properly last time .
Thanks for watching! We've got some tech solutions coming soon to improve the audio. As for your driver, we'd definitely recommend coming in for a fitting. 130 is probably a little too high and you don't want to just turn the loft down on the driver and manipulate the face angle
Great video. Very helpful to demonstrate how changes in swing or setup can effect ball flight. Thank you for posting.
Thank you for watching!

THanks for joining the channel! We have some of that in the works as well
Very good explanation, I'm working on it atm, which really increase my driving distance. Thanks.
Great video! I have been struggling with my attack angle due to years playing baseball. Thanks again!

Thanks for the feedback!! Would love to have you in for a fitting
Thomas, can you explain in a video how to hit more up on the ball?
You seem to be able to adjust on the fly, so curious how you physically do it.
We've got this one on the list to shoot!
@@2ndswing #legendary. Thanks Boys! Keep up the great content, I’m now in chase mode with Thomas’ new found distance because of you!!!
Great video, thanks.
HOW are you getting 1.5+ smashfactor on off center hits?

Nice video! How about a send video? 9* versus max setup (I.e. hit high on club face, hitting up and anything else needed)
Great videos. Your audio is clipping on many of your videos. Please reduce input gain or output level on your lav. Thanks! Keep up the good work
THanks for bearing with us! We're working on some audio solutions and some tech upgrades. Appreciate the comment!
Great vid 👌

Helpful. Tee it high, launch it high, my motto this year. But, be careful of the deadly hook which can cost you strokes. `

Did I miss the part about how to get better AOA?
The increased attack angle had the lowest spin loft so why didn't it have the lowest spin?
Increase playback speed to 2x for better viewing
I tee high, try and swing up and so many still hit the bottom of the club face……irritating.
A big part too is your swing speed was gapped
You guys need better sound equipment ffs. You use the tinniest mic I've ever heard.
Awfully salty over a microphone. Remind me how much you paid to watch this, ffs?
We've got better audio on the way soon. Thanks for bearing with us!
