I know right! She’s absolutely out of this world amazingly talented and makes it so easy lol 😂 keep doing what you love Tinna your fantastic at being you xo
Oh my goodness Tinna. I hope this comment picks you up as much as this video has, picked me up. I’m currently on my first project and in for a penny in for a pound, it’s a blanket but with the easiest pattern, the apache. So this is a lovely design but when you got to the row of mixed techniques of mosaic and tapestry I was sat here almost peeing myself laughing at you.. ‘it’s easy, it’s ghastly, it’s tedious, it’s easy, I hate it…’ You’re a fantastic teacher and I’m loving my new hobby, and yes it is definitely addictive, but it’s made all the more enjoyable having your tutorials to guide me. One thing I am sure of is that on an evening out with your friends you are the life and soul, the entertainment and the best fun of the night. God bless you, Merry Christmas and look forward to your return in the New Year.
Haha this sure did pick me up! Thank you so much 😂🥰 I’m precisely taking a break from the boxes and moving preparations tonight and going out with my bestie… let’s see if I get her to pee her pants too 😉😂😂😂 merry Christmas and see you in the new year!
Oh definitely a Blanket!! It looks complicated! but I Bett after watching your well explained tutorial it will be child’s play! Regards from South Africa 🥰🧶🌼
I absolutely just love your vibe. You are the sweetest thang ever!! ❤❤❤ I also love your mosaic patterns. They are amazingly beautiful as is your personality. ❤thank you for being you!!
Oh, how I hate tapestry crochet! It's so validating that Tinna shares my opinion about this technique 😂, but I'm willing to give it a try for this pattern. Thanks for the video!
Loved this tutorial! I made a crochet heated rice bag with cotton for my sister. Love how it turned out.❤ I love all your tutorials and patterns! Keep doing what you love 💓
Merci Tinna pour cette technique que je cherchais partout sur vos vidéos ! Comme j'adore votre bonne humeur, c'est toujours un bonheur extrême de vous suivre ! ahah votre rire est communicatif ! 😁🥰
This is an amazing pattern, thank you so much Tinna! It is awesome seeing you more often, dont worry about not being able to put up videos every week, its a joy to see you put up videos whenever you can! I dream to be able to meet you in person one day in Iceland and spend the day crochetting and learning from you! Do keep safe! Hugs ♥️
Having watched this entire video, I have to say Tinna, I share your struggle. As beautiful and versatile as all these designs are, I can't stop myself from continually making blankets! I guess when you have a design and color combination you love, you cannot stop yourself from wanting to see it BIGGER.
I'd LOVE to see your Arabia pattern! I am obsessed with anything arabic too, motifs and patterns and colors! The very deep blues and reds I love so much!
Love your patterns Tinna. Somehow they manage to be classic and modern at the same time - I love that look. I visited Iceland a couple of years ago - your intro reminds me of that wonderful time so I enjoy seeing the intro as much as the rest of the video!
This is the happiest I have felt in a good while. I am so excited to make this. I didn't go to the learning how to do the mosaic stitch, but am following along nicely. I've been crocheting for 50 years. I am 1% Scandinavian, so technically kinda sorta a viking. Well, my son is an Odinist and I am a die hard fan of all thing viking. I will surprise my son with a blanket for when he comes home in 2 years. Thank you so much 💓
I love your videos and am glad you are doing so well! I have gotten several friends "hooked" on your channel as well. Your instructions and tutorial are very informative and clear. You're an exceptional teacher!! Love your designs too! Best to you this holiday season!
I really enjoy watching and listening to you! You are starlight. I think it would be interesting and great to see all the blankets you have made. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Small projects are fantastic for this time of year.
Incredible footage, music, b roll …. Your production style is so top notch just like you sistar ! You are an inspiration. Thank you 🙏 love all of what you do !!!!
Thank you for this video Tinna!! I will be using this pattern to make a blanket for my neighbors son for Christmas!! He has a little sister and i have already started her blanket!! I used your border Montana pattern for hers. I will be posting on the Facebook group once I have finished!! Also wanted to say that I love your Facebook group, everyone is so supportive and kind!! Thanks again for all you do!! ❤❤
Thank you!! I'm just beginning to get started with tapestry crochet, but OF COURSE I want to begin with a complicated project - including more than 1 color per row. You explained and showed me how. Thank you!!
This is great. And it’s almost a happy Iceland day! One more day. I was there on Iceland day in 2017. Lots of music that night in Reykjavík. I arrived that morning and heard lots of music from my hotel room. I wish I didn’t have such jetlag or I would’ve been able to go to see the Bands. 🇮🇸
YAY! Another Tinna video 😁 Recovering from hand surgery, so currently can't crochet. I'm living vicariously through your videos! This beauty is now on my "to do " list! 🙂💜
Oh wow! I love your patterns and your tutorials. I have recently taken up mosaic crochet and your double boarder has been a life changer. It is actually what made me finally take up mosaic as I really loved it but the thought of weaving in all the ends kept me away from it. I really want to try this viking knot it is gorgeous. Thanks for the tutorial.
Hi, Tinna. Thank you for another instructive and fun tutorial. Take care. Thank you for sharing the tapestry technique, although it was painful for you. What you do for us!
Dankjewel Tinna...zoals gewoonlijk weer een leuke tutorial. Thank you Tinna..like always thanks for your great tutorial . You make me always laugh. Groetjes uit Nederland 😘
Thank you so much I have a hard time sometimes understanding the patterns even though I read them it doesn’t work in my head so watching your tutorials help me get through the patterns very quickly the next one I need is the Montana lol that one is really confusing me I haven’t even attempted it yet I did print it out though
Tinna, first, I love you and your work. I’ve been lingering around your videos for a couple of years thinking that I couldn’t do it, even though you say it’s easy. I finally took the time to view your introductory video on mosaic, and, duh, it is easy. Now I’m trying to mentally figure out the pros and cons of the 2 row method, and I’m also intensely interested in the filet mesh method as I love, love, love reversible patterns. (Full disclosure, I am an expert knitter of 35 years experience, started knitting when I was 35, believe it or not always intimidated by crochet … until now-so excited!) I’m finishing my first project which is Martin Upnorth’s baby “size” blanket (much too thick and heavy in worsted weight to actually be a baby blanket) and am loving it. I’ll be using it as a bath mat. Now my critical comment. Even though I don’t share your aversion to tapestry crochet I would use the intarsia technique for row 27. It’s only 3 single crochet stitches out of a 24 stitch repeat. Also, if you were to use the tapestry technique why attach both colors at the edge? Why not introduce it mid row when it is first needed?. Did you think of that or am I missing something? Still, changing colors mid row in crochet is still the same (objection) regardless of technique. Also, now this is a very silly observation: when crocheting the last stitch (sc) and chain 1in the row, why cut the yarn before making the final chain? Why not chain 1 after the single crochet and then cut the yarn? I’ve seen many people do what you do and it puzzles me. Is there an advantage to your method I’m not seeing? Thanks again.
Thank you so much for your support and input ❤️ to answer your questions, I prefer tapestry to intarsia here because that way I don’t have to deal with all the extra besas mis row 😉 same answer for starting with both colors ay beginning of row/round. Gives consistency if the back is showing and then the new color end will go inside the double border as well 😉 and lastly, I cut my yarn before that last chain because I pull that one straight up and out, so it’s just fewer movements to do it like this ❤️ xoxo tinna.
Hi Tina! Thank you for one more beautiful pattern! I love your videos and the beautiful person you are. I am so happy i found your channel. I can't wait to start doing mosaic crochet...so hard to choose my first project you have so many beautiful patterns😅 ♥️
Ahh I can only watch in wonder! I can only knit and am still learning but crochet is another language to me. I can only do a single crochet … I just can’t learn it. You’re a very talented and creative artist! 💚
Oh but it’s so easy!! And to do mosaic crochet you only need to know how to chain up and do single and double crochet! Check out my beginners guide to mosaic crochet and see if you can’t follow along! It’s like knitting but just easier because you only ever have one loop open 😉❤️❤️❤️
When my Grandmother was teaching me, she had me practice single stitch and double stitch until my stitches were consistant by having me crochet 4 rows, unravel and repeat. 😂 I wish I could knit. 🙂
What a beautiful pattern! Thank you for the tutorial and a little laugh (or let's say a lot of) 😂. Well, I am with you on 2 things, I love making blankets and gets intimidated by the soubd of TAPESTRY CROCHET. 😁 But the good news is we only have just one row with it so I m not worried too much. Lo Please Keep bringing us your gorgeous designs. And congratulations on the million views. You are the mosaic queen! Love from London.
Just watched this last section of the video for the first time where you teach the Tapestry stitch. Was wondering if you ever made that video with all your blankets? I think that would be so awe inspiring. I love every pattern you've made so far and am crocheting as fast as I can to try them all! Thank you most graciously.
You have such a terrific sense of colour. I know you have done a video on choosing colours but I still find my choices always have a bit of disappointment which may well be because I don’t have a very big choice available to me..(or I don’t have the eye needed). I need to buy more yarn in more colours,,yeah. .
Stopped making purses long enough to do a Viking Knot swatch. Have completed through row 17. Will finish tomorrow and add a 2nd color B at row 27. Not at all hard but couldn't have done it without your great tutorial. Found following written pattern and marking off each row was a bit more helpful than chart this time but used both. Will continue swatch into 2nd color B a few rows but will likely run out of color A yarn before end of repeat. Using yarn I had on hand in my stash. Will post photo when swatch done.
I am watching to get the nerve to start one of your projects. You are simply adorable and super fun!
Thankyou you are an excellent teacher. Very thorough. I appreciate your tutorials very much. You have amazing pattetns
Wow, a million views for a craft channel is huge. It speaks volumes about your quality, skill, and personality. You deserve a million more!
