      Thanks Magnus. I had the GH3, and upgraded to the GH4. If you make the jump from the GH3 to the GH5 you will be blown away.

    gread photos, but are you using filter for videos too on gh5 ? if yes, which filters are good?

    Thanks for sharing! Did you use exclusively your 12-60mm kit lens with this?

      Hi Matt. Yes, all shot with the 12-60mm kit lens. I used the Lee foundation kit and various filters on the front of that lens.

      I know you don't review cameras, but I'm debating getting a Nikon D750 vs. something like a GH5.
      I am a photographer first but video intrigues me. I've been using a Sony NEX-6 so far for my photos with a 14mm probe for landscapes and a 55mm f/1.8 for portraiture.
      I'm not sure if I should go for versatility (gh5) or photography focused (D750). Do you have any thoughts?

    what is the best landscape lens workhorse for the GH5?

    • @JonBryantPhotography
      @JonBryantPhotography  7 лет назад

      Hi ClouderTV, there are two or three options...if you go with Panasonic then you could go with 7-14mm f4.0 lens....but you can't put filters on this lens. It is a wide lens, but if you use filters this is far from ideal. I use the Lumix 12-35mm f2.8 lens for a lot of landscape work and this has a thread ring so I can use filters. But at 12mm this is the equivalent of 24mm on a full frame. So the other option I use is the metabones speedbooster with the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 (APS-C) lens - this gives a wider perspective and for landscapes the adaptor isn't an issue - often with landscapes you focus manually anyhow. Hope this helps.

      I use LEE filters and they offer a wide angle ring adapter.

    Nice video! Is it entirely shot with GH5?

    would be nice if you commented on GH5 in general! How much post production you had to do after the shots were taken? I am considering to get one for video production. Thanks

      Hi, thanks for the comment. Not sure if you follow my channel, but my channel is not about reviewing cameras. My channel is focused on the experience of being in nature, outdoors and capturing those moments. Since the launch of the GH5 the buzz has been about video. I shoot stills and video. This video was designed to show that it is an extremely capable stills camera when in the right hands. But this video was never intended to be a review. If you are considering getting one there are many better sites like Dan Chung's newsshooter.com or Gordon Laings Cameralabs that do comprehensive reviews - I suggest you take a look I think it will help you.

      thank you very much for you reply! I will take your suggestion into consideration. I am planning to get one for video production. I am new, before film production and photography were too much expensive for me...

    After looking at your image quality in your editing software, how large of image to print do you believe you could print that's crisp, clean, a marketable such as a 30"x 40"?

    • @JonBryantPhotography
      @JonBryantPhotography  7 лет назад +1

      I believe 30x40 would work well Richard. Not tested it. But in Lightroom the definition and resolution is very impressive.
