I have a roll of painters tape that I'll wind a few times around the palm of my hand and use to pick up those tiny threads and fabric dust that fabric & precuts seem to shed in abundance.

A silicone mat works great under your Janome Overlocker/Serger (great choice they last forever) or any serger/sewing machine. Noise and vibration will be a thing of the past
