I really like this rendition of V1's reaction to this mannequin part, the wings changing color when v1 is cautionary was such a fun detail. That ending was a neat twist, some real fire work right here 🔥🔥🔥
Normally, I’m not a big fan of 3-d animation, but you really managed to capture the feel of this scene- the unsettling nature of the mannequins. And V1 getting out his gun was such a good detail! Good job, animator! Thank you!
The wings in the Vmodel does a lot of things Such as preventing fall damage, infinite sliding, probably the ability to dash, store weapons or other things inside, probably a source of light if needed and many more
v1's choppy framerate compared to the more smoothly animated mannequins makes it more robotic and makes them creepier. its body language and behavior make it very animal-like. really Really effective sound design too. the timing of the soundtrack and the chirping of v1 and the metallic sounds when it moves its body and joints and the way you use the breathing of the mannequins. all of it sounds very satisfying. this is such a good fucking piece
it's always a big boost to my motivation when someone acknowledges the little details that i put into my work, so thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed them :]
I'll be honest, when I saw him pull out the shotgun, I thought he was gonna panic pump as they charge him. Great stuff, now if only I got off my ass and finished act 2.
First off, awesome animation. Secondly, knowing the lore, V1 wins this encounter, and that makes the animation being so terrifying even cooler, because no matter how much of a threat the mannequins are, V1 will always be stronger.
Despite how creepy they are supposed to be, all I could think of was craving blood for when one would actually be killable... I mean I wanted to style on them, yeah, that
I love how you portrayed V1 to be human like even though realistically he would zoom into the skull and ignore the mannequins all together, only locking to potential hostiles while blitzing

thank you, i'm glad you appreciate the work that went into it. it was a headache and a half to work on but im glad it turned out well :] im a bit sleep deprived so my bad if im reading your question wrong but i usually use a script on the workshop called "auto-rigger" which creates an IK rig for an unrigged model. applying an IK rig to a model essentially makes it so that when bones (i.e., a hand bone) are moved, the connecting bones (i.e., the connected elbow bone) move as well rather than that single selected bone just stretching out. so when you select and move the pelvis, all of the bones connected to it move as well (minus hands and feet, which you can remedy by selecting those at the same time as the pelvis). bit of a messy response, but hopefully it answers your question (if not feel free to clarify the question a bit for my tired peabrain and I'll see if i can answer it correctly)
