I watched a scientifically renowned documentary about Bees. One day, a single Bee was sick of the treatment humans were inflicting on his fellow bees. To protect their bee rights, they stopped pollinating and producing honey. This famous documentary is called... The Bee Movie 🐝🌻🍯
Thank you for the recipe! It came out great!! I filled with peach preserve because I had to use up some leftover. Just for a little side note, if you want to do the style of decoration Jemma does with Swiss meringue buttercream, you’d need 1.5-2x of the amount than the quantity noted in this recipe to achieve that high top! (I assume she had that much in the piping bag just by the look and how much butter cubes she had in the video when she was making the buttercream!!)
I love bees and have been planting bee friendly plants to encourage them, but ironically I'm allergic to propolis which is a type of pollen that comes from the hive, so I don't eat honey as some types, mainly the unrefined, contain it. We're talking full on anaphylaxis so it's safer to avoid it altogether! I shall content myself just watching them buzzing around my plants and thanks for the sugar syrup tip! 😊
Bee awareness is so important, especially as a vegan! We rely on bees to ensure our diverse foods can grow. Love that you are bringing awareness to this- I wonder if I could sub coconut nectar for the honey?

Lovely video :) Just wanted to add something - in the past I've heard people recommend giving tired bees a little honey. PLEASE DON'T! Honey from a different hive can make a bee very poorly, Jemma's suggestion of sugar water is much safer. x

Same! I'm allegic to all types of polen, which means no honey att all for me either, but there's no harm in watching and helping our friendly bees! :D
