@@hellcatdave1 Yes. but as I remember, they can remove all of the minesweeping gear and install canvas seats along the walls and centerline. (X minesweep crewman)
The rear view mirror you see out of the pilot's lower right is a dead giveaway of a Sea Dragon. Also, in that mirror you can see the extra large sponsons that are the most recognizable feature of the Sea Dragon.
Love the good ol sea dragon. Was a hell of a time serving in these and helping keep them flying.
It was always good to see the black helicopter with the horse on the side. MAIL CALL
Lot more room then back in the day, on the LPH-12. I did LSE on spot 2. Most of the time had 46's and Huey landing up front.
Sat in the HDC under spot 5 on the 'Chon
Couple of hundred bucks of hardware on that deck. No breaky.
diggin the little passenger mirror lol
I love how the LSEs stand where the pilots cant see them. Very efficient.
Not like we’re really watching them anyways, as long as they don’t wave us off. Their signals are advisory in nature
The Bonhomme Richard in better days.
Never been on a Navy 53 but loved the Air Force 53.
Hey why doesn't anybody talk about how that osprey landed
You know with the rotors still spinning
The real landing instructions are coming from the air crewman in the back. LSE advisory only except during take offs and congested ground handling
Chefs kiss... muuaaa (not a pilot, jus appreciate!) that wind scary.
On and off of the LPH3 Okinawa back in the mid-80s
That ship burned and burned. Will be stricken from the USN record soon.
RGR matching course & speed 1
Such a pretty boat...SHIP, nautical term.
Aircraft carrier, military term 🤣
Justin Paradis i joke, u smart! Perfect
JFabrication 🤣
Lol....submarines are "boats". Land that eggbeater on a sub....uh, ... boat. That would be impressive!....that's a "flattop".
@@justinparadis7036 Actually, Amphibious Assault Ship (LHD-1 class)
Humans do landings with effort however does that mean that blackout slammed himself onto the ground in transformers?
Bit tricky with half rotor wash over the deck.
Couldn’t even tell it was on the ground
amazing video
Most of the helicopters are so small and narrow inside, but this one is really big and roomy.
If I remember right they can carry 53 combat troops.
@@vniesky Not this one, these are mine sweepers.

Sea-Dragon MH-53E
navyguy251 are you the pilot or co-pilot?
Cool
nice video, would have been good to see hands and feet movement though
anyone got the video of the v22 crashing? im about sure it happened
I thought these helis were retired?
Dylan James2020 nope still plowing sea farms
Is an Hands and feet off approach ?
Medi Medi No, the aircraft commander sitting in the left seat was flying the approach and landing
@@navyguy251 ok, thanks
@@navyguy251 ch 53 colossal helicopter
i don't think hands and feet off helo landings have been invented yet.
and a v-22 osprey
THE BIG BOY IS LANDING MOVE THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY!
I like how there’s a sea harrier and a mh-53 and a ch-53
landing on destroyer
Boat landing?
Mate, there be a SHIP over thar, but not a boat. Lol.
In Naval Aviation slang, Boat or 'The Boat' refers to their home ship.
pave low or sea Dragon? I can't tell. but it is still cool
The rear view mirror you see out of the pilot's lower right is a dead giveaway of a Sea Dragon. Also, in that mirror you can see the extra large sponsons that are the most recognizable feature of the Sea Dragon.
overhead there are three throttles, so that's another clue it isn't a twin engined Pave Low.
Also the space between the pilots seems huge... The MH-53 is much bigger than the MH-60, hence the space in the cockpit
Thanks for no dumbazz music!
cool
He said "boat" landing. lol
