My theory is that either making or not making the bed will result in some sort of “Butterfly Effect” or have some sort of point system like “23% made the bed”
The butterfly effect sounds so coooll!! I actually think it's going to be where nugget is like in the secret monstermon cards ending Xd. Like I know it's making no sense cause at the dome the bed is empty, but it sounds like something that could happen... OR nothing will happen. Also an option!
The endings where you collect all the monstermon cards killing all the characters except for you and nugget seems to me like a reset. Like the universe got destroyed and brought back with different elements like the teacher being alive or the hall monitor being attacked by the janitor.
My guess for Ms Applegate’s reason for being alive still is that last game, after she got stabbed, Bob got her to the hospital to get treated and asked her out on a date. This means for once she’s actually in a good place and with the other reasons Pheobe listed she’s optimistic about her future. And my guess for her mission in the third game is that we will have to crush what hope she’s found and leave her in such despair that she commits suicide.
Regarding the bed thing its interesting to think of the game's player and the mc as seperate. I think it would be cool if there were minor things that you could do to strengthen or weaken the bond between you and the mc. Imagine a route/ending in the game where you tick off the mc enough that they just go rouge and ignore you.
There actually is something like that, maybe you're already talking about it lol. It's when you microwave the cat in kindergarten 2 and the mc just says he's outta here because of how messed up it is

That would be fun! I would love to figure more out about our Main Character! They are changing in every game. They have a new bedroom in every game as well suggesting other things going on behind the scenes in their home environment?
I think making the bed might be a subtle way of the story moving forward with the bedroom changing with each loop. Maybe making the bed will cause something else to appear in the bedroom for future loops. Or it may be required for the secret ending. Or at the very least it’s a way to earn a non story related achievement. Similar to Kindergarten 2 where you can earn non-story related achievements for not microwaving a cat, seeing Bob and Ms. Applegate kiss, or putting a flower on the nugget statue.
I have no clue if this will be the case, but I really hope making the bed or not every day is like taking the bucket in The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe. Doing so will cause every possible path to have a new ending

Honestly I think true endings in Kindergarten while canon are also not what to go off of anymore as Monty was crippled when it was impossible to do that in the first game as you'd run out of apples for the true ending
By the way - i think you missed something kinda important! Matpat skips this dialogue really fast, but you still can read it. When you ask davey about his dad he actually tells you that he thinks hes evil, like the other principals from the other schools. Wich really opposites what emmy said about him, and i think its interesting But to be fair, i really believe Emmy more (although Davey's my fav Xd) cause although its Davey's dad, and his words supposed to be more believable... Its davey. I think he is just being dramatic about his dad not liking Linda, lol. Also, i guess he just doesnt have a real good connection with his dad or anyone else, caring only about the gator with some weird obsession

Y’know, I’m curious. If this is actually a Groundhog Day loop, then how do some characters know of the “noncannon” loops (such as the Janitor remembering Nugget’s arm yet that not happening in the cannon loop). My theory is that only the more crazy people know about the loops. I mean, Nugget is Nugget, Cindy probably has her head mixed up or had some trauma in order to come up with the crazy doll house stories and the Janitor, well, should I even explain? The reason I believe the Janitor is aware of the loop is because of Monty and Stevie’s injuries. He likely remembers having done them in the past so therefore he would like to do them again (For evidence, you have the chance to dispose of Monty in the cannon ending after he is of no use to you, I would know, I tried it to see if it would work, it surprisingly did. And Stevie, well, we don’t see him or the Janitor at the end of Kindergarten 2 so they could’ve had an altercation while we, Billy, Lily and Nugget were saving the day). Cindy in K2 knows what you mean if you ask about the two of them being together in the first game so she remembers. That I believe is my theory. How you notice the truth in this world is by being insane.
