Damn, I really like the way you film. Keep going, you'll be fine.
Thank you!! I have a few tricks up my sleeve coming so we’ll see how they turn out!
I like that u still shift manually with the clutch
I figured out the quick shifter but it’s just an old habit and the way I learned to ride haha
Hey man great vids! Have you had any issues with the 690’s quick shifter??
I put together a video of me trying it out and so far, a few false shifts here and there but honestly not much!
What hand guards are those? I like how they have mirrors as well. Hoping they come in black.
Hey! These are the Zeta hand guards and I believe they do come in black! You can find them on Amazon here - DRC - ZETA PRO Armor Hand Guard Black w/ mounts a.co/d/hFsmdNK
Depending on the bike, you will also need to grab their drop down bracket to get past all the cables.
The setup includes;
Zeta bark busters (above)
Zeta U clamp bracket
Zeta plastic handguard + turn signal
PowerMadd Trail mirrors
You can find everything on Amazon!
15:25 Happens at least once every time i ride on my 701. worst feeling, but keeps you on your toes
Stay safe out here!!
Are you still running without the power commander? What was the outcome of your investigation into its failure?
Still running without it, I’ve taken some time off work to get a full build going, got 90% of the parts I need.
All I could find was the PCV failed, either the map went bad or the whole thing got wiped when I had it on the battery tender for the winter.. DynoJet never tested the old unit, just warranted it and sent me a new one..
Can you send me a link to the bar ends you are using on your 690 please
I use the Zeta bark busters - Zeta Drop Down Bend Aluminum Handguards (Pair) for 1 1/8" Handlebars Black a.co/d/6t33Wgy
Zeta hand guards with turn signals - Zeta XC Flasher BLACK Hand Shields (Pair) for Armor Handguards a.co/d/1qTq7ri
Zeta drop brackets to mount under the control lines on the bars - www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/zeta-armor-handguards-u-clamp-mounts-p
And mirrors are PowerMadd Trail mirrors - PowerMadd 34289 Star Series/Trail Star Handguard Mirror Kit, Black, Medium a.co/d/hZ4eH0j
You’ve got a quick shifter why you the clutch?
Hahaha force of habit haha this is the first bike I have ever owned with a quickshifter so I need to use it more!
Nice place, chicks everywhere. 👀
Don't clutch in all the way when you shift/rev match, it's a lot quicker and smoother. Once you get the timing down you don't need the clutch at all.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll give it a shot next time, I feel like I get way to excited hahah I also figured out this bike has a quick shifter.. talk about fast!
@@LifeWellRidden the thing is you dont need the clutch at all while riding because this KTM has a quickshifter!
@@SgtVegas haha heck yeah! It’s freakin awesome I finally figured it out 🤣 I’ve got a video coming of my discovery
It does also have a blipper (or idk what else its called), means u can also shift down without clutching.
@@NrwRawS I still need to try that one.. idk how I feel about downshifts with no clutch..
How do you have your plate mounted
I use the SupermoFools tail tidy kit, it is really hard to find and/or get even when they have them in stock. I had to refresh every day and even reach out to grab one! It took forever but worth the wait!
what mirrors are those???
They are the PowerMadd trail mirrors and you can get them on Amazon here - PowerMadd 34289 Star Series/Trail Star Handguard Mirror Kit, Black, Medium a.co/d/fy1ktFw
@@LifeWellRidden thanks!
Could you please post the link to the mirrors?

It's a whole assembly with bark busters and plastic guards so not just mirrors alone, the whole setup is here! - ruclips.net/video/hg8utdwkOk4/видео.html
@@LifeWellRidden thank you

@@LifeWellRidden dammm sick bro! Thanks so much for your time!
@@larslion you are welcome man! I tried a night edit and it turned out ok, change a ton of the settings but will be releasing that soon!
@@LifeWellRidden okayy! Thanks bro
It has a quick shifter, why do you use the clutch?
I’m not sure.. haha I have never had a bike with a quick shifter so I’m just used to the habit of using the clutch
@@LifeWellRidden Lol coming from a DRZ, I'll probably have the same habit when my dealer gets my bike here (or if).
@@thumpertorque_ it’s like almost counter intuitive for me.. I guess I’ll have to give it a shot!
@@LifeWellRidden Yeah try. Also has auto rev match so you don't need to blip the throttle on downshifts like you were doing.
@@thumpertorque_ I’m learning so much about my bike 🤣🤣 why do I not know these things..
This vídeo is in united states?
Yes it is! Chicago, IL area
I don't wanna be mean or anything but mannnn the roads around you suck for a supermoto... Are there any proper twistie mountain roads nearby or is it always straight dual lanes and city riding?
I’ve got to really hunt for twisties and/or ride about an hour to find them.. it’s 90% straight double lane or city 🤬
I would have to disagree tho, I have a lot more fun on this bike then anything else (sport bike/cruiser/hell no to a Harley.. sorry) because it is upright, quick in traffic and tight situations, nimble in the city atmosphere with the possibility of “making your own lane” on the sidewalk or through allie ways or even the occasional dirt/construction site. Which I wouldn’t want to take anything besides a “dirt bike” down haha AND best of all.. you can actually use all the power.. I can hit the rev limiter in basically 1-2 and still be “relatively” close to the speed limit 🙃 so I can use ALL the power the bike has and not leave anything on the table or need an air field to really feel the bikes absolute power.
Just some thoughts I have haha, where do you ride?
@@LifeWellRidden Oh I agree 1000% this is the best bike you can buy in today's world if you want to stay relatively close to legal limits while still having a LOT of fun haha
You'd just be exploiting the amazing chassis so much more if you had proper twisties around, but if city riding and double lanes is the only choice you got then so be it that sumo will still be miles better than a Harley ^^
I ride in France near the Pyrenees so lots of mountain passes and forrest twisties to do, I don't think I've ever taken the bike to a city yet in 4 years lmao
Amazing camera work btw, that colour grading really makes the orange pop 👍
@@701_ben 😵😵 that must be THE most beautiful/best damn riding you could do! Holy shit I’m jealous!
Trust me I can’t wait to get on the track and take some road trips with the family to more fun and exciting roads to see the full potential of the bike.. I just need to get a lot better at street riding before 😝
Thank you! I have put a ton of time and effort into these videos, almost too much and it doesn’t feel like work but there are so many things I can improve!
The exhaust note is spot-on, but the bike's capabilities are lost on endless straight flat roads.
Thanks on the exhaust I think it turned out great! But I couldn’t agree more.. I wish I lived by more curves..
@@LifeWellRidden Bring it to California where you'll be grinning until your face hurts. That said, no ride today; the fog is so dense that I can't see past 200 feet.
@@Ramon51650 I would love to be out there.. just need to figure out a job and I’d be there in a second! I have ridden in the Malibu area a few times for weekends from Las Vegas to LA. The fog is no joke.. it’s crazy how little you can actually see!
I watched that video and saw only straight roads with large bends. Don't get the point why you are driving this bike there. To get the essence of this bike some roads with hard bends like a narrow mountainous road are needed. The bike drives extremley well in close corners - I can tell you. But on straight streets it is just boring. Don't get me wrong but driving this machine on flat rectancular suburbia is like driving a supersport on a dust road.
🤣 I couldn't agree more!! Some times I think I made the wrong decision.. but I have found a little more fun roads around here.. I think its a lot more fun for around town and short rides than a sportbike but that just means I go to the track more haha
I would love to be able to live close to mountain roads, your making me jealous!
