Robert says "Thank You" to the "computer lady"... how sweet is that. 😊
Momma raised you right!
Just a thought 💭- Instead of fast food greasy joints you might really enjoy finding local “mom & pop” eateries therefore affording them some free advertising. I’ve always found the food more pleasing, unique recipes, reasonably priced, quality meals. Say “yes” to promoting our local small business eateries across America 🇺🇸.
Linda Golden there was a geezer from the uk travelled across the USA not using named motels hotels or restaurants everything mom& pop no chains
Oh, I agree!! There are so many local eateries that you can't know about unless you are local - ask someone for a great suggestion. We tend to watch DDD to get some ideas while traveling.
Nope, you gotta do Jacks in Alabama. Their breakfasts are way better, but the burgers are something else too.
In my mind, this is the only way to travel. I like to write reviews on independently owned businesses. The only time I like to try corporate food is if it’s something that we don’t have where I live. For example, we don’t have In and Out Burger where I live, so I’m looking forward to trying it once. But I’m planning a trip out west soon, and most of the places I’m planning to stop to eat are independently owned.
Nice job with the music going through Atlanta rush hour. With the music, I got a sense of the pulsating frantic rhythm of the traffic and the screeching of the brakes. You're an artist.
My wife and I really enjoyed this episode. We sold our Cruiser Funfinder a couple of years ago and we really miss it. Your videos bring back warm memories of our RVing years and have inspired us to start shopping for a Winnebago Travato Class B. We want to be free again in our RV!
I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS VIDEO. I MISS THE MOUNTAINS.
MY FAMILY LIVED IN BIRMINGHAM FOR 7 YEARS, from 1980 to 1987. I went to High School in Vestavia Hills, Birmingham. My parents actually worked in Huntsville for about 6 months. ALABAMA HAS BEAUTIFUL FALL COLORS AND SPRING COLORS. I am glad that you ad Ili got a chance to take in the fall "feel" there. Huntsville has NASA too. Vulcan in Birmingham is famous.
DID YOU SMELL THE CRISP, COLD AIR WITH THE SENT OF THE FIREPLACES?
I camped at Falling Waters State Park this spring and your video brings back great memories.
Interesting to see even in Florida there are days without sunshine but heavy clouds
We get plenty of those too
Haha I love her laughing at you dump the gray water 😝
My family comes from ft pierce just a couple are still down there most died and moved farther north it changed so much it used to be mainly groves farms and woods except for the beach along u s 1. Brings back memories ❤ for times past thanks Rob. O yea I am in Mobile now for many years
Love that we can here Ileana laughing at you during your grey water experience! Lol. You packed a lot into this video. I ll have to see if KZ has a rally. Nice job.
Another great video Robert. Thank you!😊
Wish we could get to see Illy more often.
Gooooood morning Robert! Thank you for the new video. I hope that you have a great day. Remember that we keep you and your family in our prayers. Have a great week. Fly pelican, fly! 👍😎🌴
Thank you!

Leave it to Robert to find a "Breakfast IPA" HaaHaa
Instant pot and Berkey .. two of my favourites for sticks and bricks and RV... Another great video...
We've made more than one "corkscrew" stop. 🍷🍷
Always nice to get a peek at Old Florida... not much left.
My parents first started bringing us down to Delray in 1950.. Big Changes 🤪
WOW! Just a couple of days ago I stumbled upon your channel and have since binge watched your 2019 trip across America. And upon finishing it, it went directly to this one. I LIVE IN HUNTSVILLE! How cool. I wish I had found your channel sooner and I could have met you on Montesanto! So awesome :)
Enjoying your terrific video (feature length!) on this unexpected snow day in Connecticut. My favorite part is Ileana laughing in the background. First with the tank dump, then the insta-pot fun. Thanks for taking us along. Safe travels!
Great material I use to go rd 66 and some states very nice experience we use to travel with my son Dominick we just came from Mexico I did short movie greeting dwd
That Atlanta traffic is reminiscent of the I-4 traffic in Tampa. Great video,as usual!
...or I-95 in Miami. Thanks!
Tod Hunt I still think Atlanta traffic is worse than Tampa traffic though!😎
Happy 1st Advent, Robert. You have made my Sunday. Sitting here in my cozy chair with outside temperatures around 2° C, I really enjoyed enjoyed your video. Greetings from Bavaria, Germany.
Favorite part was hearing your wife giggling at you emptying the blue tote. wish we could see more of her.
Thanks, Robert! It was great to have you at Minnies on the Mountain Rally. I'm happy you have documented it so well!
Thanks for uploading new stuff so consistently. Love what you do.
Thank you!
Yeah, the water tank episode was pretty funny. We are so lucky to have a dumping station a mile and a half away. Speaking of Werner von Braun, he is buried down the street from my old job.
Interstate 95 has got a lot wider since I lived in Pompano Beach in 2008. I love the video!!!
🍁🍂 Beautiful hilly drive west through Georgia and around Alabama with some late fall foliage colors remaining. Thank you for the scenic route. 🍁🍂
Another GREAT video Robert !!! Nice that you had the company of your wife on this trip .... Most things in life is BETTER when it is shared with another :) :) :) :)
After leaving the bristo heading north on 17, you went by my house.
Cool.
Even the longer videos go by so fast. Thanks for the ride. ❤
In Alabama you should visit Noccalula Falls in Gadsden Alabama, Cheaha Mountain and DeSoto Caverns just to name a few places that are absolutely beautiful! And some cool camping!
ROBERT...YOU are Awesome ...YOUR VIDEO WAS GREAT.
Good morning Robert I never miss a day without watching your travelling, I enjoy your comments and videos. From St.Lucia
we lived in ala for several years and never went to monte sano to camp. thanks for showing me how beautiful it is.
Viewing this from a cold UK, (UK cold, not Florida cold!), having just returned from a Floridian vacation, wish we were back there, and envy the RV life. Like watch your cooking excepts, but think you may need to invest in a new sharp knife!
You love John stretch park! That's the go to spot when your on that side! I think minitini and Colorado misses me!
Did he just pull out the "Montell Jordan" song! Priceless. LOL...Doing the work and singing through it.
The beginning of the video was so much fun because I could sense your excitement in getting away for a bit. I felt like I was part of it and the final statement, 'that was the longest drive in my life' was the perfect ending. Another great video. As always, have fun and be safe.
Robert is pretty blunt with his reviews...but I gotta hand it to him, it's refreshing to have someone tell it like it is and still be polite about it.
So happy to c u showing Mentone! Then following u thur Valley Head, where my grands go to school, then on thur Henagar. We would love to meet up with u.
You drove right through Scottsboro Alabama on your way to Huntsville. I used to live there. You would have seen a view to die for if you had came down the other side of the mountain. Beautiful view of The river and Lake Guntersville. If you are ever there again I recommend you go see some of Lake Guntersville. Good places to see it is Goosepond Colony which is a island that has camping. Scottsboro County Park which has camping. Scottsboro is the home of Unclaimed Baggage Center which is where your lost luggage or unclaimed freight from airports ends up at and is resold. You never know what you will find there. Also eat at Paynes Soda Fountain in the town square for a good food and a trip back in time. Guntersville Alabama which is not far from Scottsboro has the prettiest view of the lake and has one of my favorite restaurants, Top Of The River. (Not good for Oversize parking).
You look look like a kid Christmas morning opening that host welcome bag .... love it .
When you live in the heat (I'm from phoenix,az) you definitely appreciate some relief in the cold lol
Like how you explored the state park and said hello to the deer..very cute.
enjoyed the travels with you
Onions, peppers, garlic, vinseco, paprrrrrika, oregano . I tried it ! Defenately should ad fresh chilli next time ! Thanks for the great show Robert ! Try the South African one = Spam, bacon, baked beans garlic ,chillie, fruit chutney and BBQ sauce !!
Its cool that my hometown of Florala made it into the video
It always looks like you travel alone; however, you left hints in this video. Two chairs at camp. Two meals in restaurants. Reflection of probable companion in store window. A chuckle when you were dumping your grey tank. Enjoy.
Hi Robert , We enjoyed the video from Huntsville and the brewery. Thank you
One of my favorite kitchen gadgets (Cork Screw). :-)) :-))
Robert I was looking for a good truck yours seems to be great so I got one last week same color I have a class A but I’ll probably get a trailer soon thank for all your videos
I enjoyed seeing the state capital of Alabama. I live in the state capital of New Mexico. My travels in the Southeast US include Vero Beach and Orlando, Florida and Abbeville and New Orleans, Louisiana. I have family in Louisiana. I hope to get back east someday. Love it in the winter!
Alright I enjoy these longer videos! 👍🤗😎
We use a Big Berky at home and they work great. Thinking of taking that with us when we get our trailer.
Love your knowledge of the cities you pass through. I'm luck if I know what city I'm passing through
Always luv when you go thru Atlanta since I live here. Ur audio inside the truck while u are driving has lots of background noise. Pls consider clipping the mic to ur shirt. Atlanta traffic is always lots of fun and that is how I deal with it. Thanks soooo much...
Another good one Robert. Looks like you got a primo site in Monte Sano, lots of space and lots of privacy on each side. How were the facilities?
We have two rv's and outfitted each with everything needed to travel in a moments notice. We only remove a small travel bag when we get home and carry it with us when we leave home.
That takes discipline.. good for you.
Wow! THE BEST TRAVEL VIDEO! I Felt like I was actually traveling with y'all! Great sites, great music, great hosts! Thank you so much!
Great trip. You happened to visit a couple of places I saw earlier in the year. Back in May I visited Huntsville with a friend on her 1969 High School reunion and some of it was at the Lone Goose Saloon which is located in a section of Campus 805. Also saw Vulcan in Birmingham. Too bad they couldn't find enough iron to cover his behind. Very nice area in Birmingham.
That's was great training
With you . I enjoyed it .
Thanks for sharing .
Truely enjoyed this episode. A lot of people in my area of Maine have wells and a few that I know use the Berky and love it.
Hello Robert...I really enjoyed your videos on traveling... Beautifully done.
I love your videos!!!!! my husband and I just did our first road trip from Miami to Washington DC!!!!
I’m glad to hear “longest drive of my life” from someone else. Driving from Jax to South Florida bores me stiff after Daytona. Same in reverse heading north from South Florida. I might not be fair since I love Florida very much but unless your doing destinations along the way, it’s a killer that leaves you flopping like a fish on the dock.
You're making me excited to get a travel trailer. Not sure if we'll get ours this year or early next year. Thank You for the great content.
Between the snappy opening song and the Ricky Ricardo accent, you are a true RV spokesperson.
Thanks!
I'm laughing that the Berkie has it's own seatbelt. Thanks for listening when we tell you what we'd like to see on your merchandise page - I'm ordering a DVD of your stargazing footage and music for my Christmas present to myself.
I live in Huntsville and have lived no farther than 30 minutes from Huntsville my entire life and yet I never knew that park was there. Also that Saturn V you saw wasn't actually the real one, that one was just a replica, what we do have is called the Saturn V dynamic test vehicle that's inside the building next to it. The real Saturn V is in Houston Texas and Florida. You did good by going to Jack's. They have the best french fries out of any fast food place, you missed out though by not being able to go during breakfast because their biscuits are by far the best out of any others as well.
Another excellent video as usual Robert, love the waterfall, especially how it has carved itself into the rock face over the years
That is a fun meet up with mini
49:21 katydid. great video brother. thank you
This channel should have 100k's of views, excellent job Sir.
Hello Robert
Happy Thanksgiving
Thank you for sharing.
So great to see this trip!
Only advice I got for you is this... Keep these awesome videos coming.. I.like that truck.
Thank you very much ! 😎
Too funny how you seat belted your berkey in the back seat. Just found you and love your adventures. We have been looking at all types of rv's as we head into retirement. Be Blessed!
I absolutely dare you to put on some Gloria Estefan as you’re heading across the state because it’s so Florida and it’s so cliche and it’s so funny and you can tap on your steering wheel and end end
Jeanne Stark I was on a Gloria Estefan kick recently and was listening to her “Mi Tierra” album over and over! It’s a fantastic Spanish album! Listening to that album brings me wonderful memories of my mother. She really loved that album too!
Make sure you visit Cheaha Mountain while in Alabama. Highest point in Bama.
I like the breaking bad reference on your shirt..
Gracias por mostrarnos lo hermoso de Estados Unidos, saludos desde Paraguay.
Always great to watch Traveling Robert!
Nice trip, beautiful, thanks for the ride,
My old Hubbarooni and I stopped by "Falling Waters" State park. I think it was late Fall and it had been dry that year I guess. The thing was not running at all. I wish the lady had told me that before we'd hiked down to it ( or up to it I forget ) I guess she thought that was pretty funny. I have a lame leg so it was not funny to me. Speaking of funny, We have been to a couple of swimming parks where the people reminded me of that old scary movie "the hills have eyes." Once we'd stopped at the quite nice sounding Ponce De Leon park and omgosh, it looked like auditions were being held for participants of the Jerry Springer show or maybe a re make of the movie Deliverance. I didn't know so many cousins had gotten married. Yeeks.
Another great travel vLog. Loved hearing Ile giggle at you when you guys were trying out the porta dump cart. LOL!! Very entertaining!
Hey Traveling Robert . The next time you come through Adairsville to hit Highway 140 West (17:57 time mark)I’ll be more then happy to pay for your meal and would love to meet you. As always take care and love your videos.
Homie with a leaf blower. Good luck! 27:41.
What a trip ,cool and enjoyed seeing the different fast food places that I have been wondering about thanks for showing it.😊
Wow.!nice rides..beautiful places and view..i feel im going around with you sir..thank for the tour..have a nice video..godbless👍👍👍
Awesome video!!! We love traveling. We live aboard our sailboat preparing to sail around the world as husband, wife and cat! Cheers ~
That's great. Happy travels!
Another fun video, thanks! I laughed near the end when you mentioned your usual return-home dumping spot at the Flying J. I live near Stuart, FL so that's my last stop too!
Thanx Robert, great vid. Kind of long, but it was fun.
Your Wife Looked Pretty & Has A Nice Laugh You Should Hzve Her More Apart Of Your Channel
Plenty of "road ribbon" footage. Enjoyed the State Parks, especially Florida's tallest waterfall. Thought the tallest statue was impressive. 👍
Hiii Robert! I really like your videos! I feel like I am there in your road trips! Like how detailed you are explaining everything, that makes it very interesting and keep you there like wanting to see more!! 👍👌
This is a GREAT video! Lot's of cool stuff . Loved hearing your wife laugh at you while you dumped the gray tank. She had me laughing so hard. So glad you had her with you.
Thanks for another interesting adventure. BTW - I love my Berkey water filter! It removes so many impurities !
Robert, you are sooo right about Mi Apa. My wife and I are originally from Miami and feel the same way about their food. Very generic, not authentic Cuban food. As they say in Miami, if there is no leaf in the black beans it's not real cuban food. We live in Gainesville now, but if you ever stop here again my wife will cook you some real cuban food! We also have plenty of room for your RV, 30amp hook-up, and Wifi. We are right off I-75 too.
a little extra info about Birmingham....
Why is Birmingham called the Iron City?
The city was named for Birmingham, England, the center of that country's iron industry. The new Alabama city boomed so quickly that it came to be known as the "Magic City." It later became known as the "Pittsburgh of the South" after the Pennsylvania center of iron and steel production.Jan 8, 2008

#169 Robert, I watched your meal preparation, and wonder if you were a professional chief at one time or another? You certainly have a talent for knowing what goes in a dish, yummy!
Thanks! Most of it has been self taught
I like "what a burger" in Vegas never ate at Hardies but I will try it next time I'm there. New England doesn't have it that I've seen
wow over 1 hour long. I should go to bed but......
Kristofer Olsson OMG! Same here! LOL!
