No one ever showed me the detail of "covering the logo on the shoulder" which explains why it can be very difficult for smaller people trying to finish this with a larger opponent, the 'bite' they are trying to take is too big, looking forward to putting this into practice during my next training session!
I hate lifting my hip to get the arm over, when I do that I stop brraking their posture and the one thing that stopped them coming out my guard I gave up. Oftentimes they just get out. I stopped trying to get the arm over and prioritised the angle and moving them as a whole.
If I had an opponent in this position it would already be over all i would have to do is move my hips so I'm to the side of the opponent while pulling on the arm that is taped and putting weight of my leg on top of them. the closer to 90 degree angle I'm to him the easier it is for me. and grabbing on the crown of the head as you suggest to do is an extra help when i need it. my problem is getting into this position
Thank you are all the details on the triangle. This has been very helpful and I can’t wait to get some repetitions using these details.
