This song was written by British hippie folksinger Donovan, recorded in 1966. It is generally to be one of the first “psychedelic” songs. It has been covered numerous times by many different artists.
I have adapted the lyrics of my version to fit into the Discworld universe created by my favourite author, Sir Terry Pratchett (1948-2015). The intro video is from the animated adaptation of his novel “Wyrd Sisters”, produced in 1997 by Cosgrove Hall Films.
    Season Of The Witch
    (D.P. Leitch)
When I look out my window
    Many sights to see
And when I look in my window
So many different people to be
    That it's strange
    So strange
A seamstress picks up every stitch
A seamstress picks up every stitch
She got to pick up every stitch
Mmmm, must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch, yeah
Must be the season of the witch
When I look over my shoulder
What do you think I see?
When I look over my shoulder
What do you think I see?
Some watchman lookin' over his shoulder back at me
    And it's strange
    Sure is strange
A seamstress picks up every stitch
She got to pick up every stitch, yeah
Dwarfs are out to make it rich
Oh no, must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch, yeah
A seamstress picks up every stitch
A wizard runnin' in a ditch
Dwarfs are out to make it rich
Oh no, must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch
