l remember when you first set up saw mill......l said that it was to close to the end of your barn lol.....Thank you Nathan and Merry Christmas..... Old Vietnam war F-4 pilot Shoe🇺🇸
A very wise man told me one time the only person that does not make a mistake is a person that does not do anything !!!! That person was my grandpa and he was my best man at my wedding !!! Take care be safe and have fun at work!!! O have a Mary Christmas you all and I will you on the next video!!
Yep. It is the million little things everyday on a farm that demands sun up to sun down to live that life. You add saw milling to that and filming it and you have more than doubled that need to milk every ray of sunshine available. When seconds become more than precious.God bless you for being tougher than the ask of you brother!
Watch one of your videos recently, were you informed everyone that you had been a Law Enforecment officer. I knew their was some that drew me to your videos, other than just your great sawmill videos. I spent 28 years in law enforcement , and after retirement purchase a bandsaw mill. Love you show
Well, you can't expect not to have days when maintenance & general day to day things have to be done. This video is interesting as you make adjustments to equipment for the benefit of 'Your BUSINESS' in running your farm. I still enjoyed it, it adds realism to your farm. Thanks for sharing & cheers, Don from South Australia.
Thank you Nathan for all of the videos and entertainment you gave us all this year. i hope you get some time in the timber frame in front of the fire enjoying some personal projects.
Nathan, if your local hardware store does not have the small diameter hose, you can probably find it at a power sports dealer that sells and Service ATV…… Merry Christmas Nathan 🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼✌🏼
I really enjoy Robert @ Hobby Hardwoods, thanks to you. I'm glad to see you finally got a roller conveyor for the waste slabs. Another modification of Robert's that will help with your efficiency is welding those 1"x1" blocks on the push-back forks so you can pull back the boards and drop them anywhere you want closer to your stacking pallet. I was relieved that you only pinched some PVC tubing. I was envisioning major damage to the cutting head.
My Daddy always said, live and learn son and then ya die and forget it all. I think it's wise to try and pass on any knowledge that we have to someone else regardless if it's your child, children or just someone willing to learn. MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM NORTHEAST ALABAMA
Yellowhammer is the man!! Going into my business venture next summer I have two great business models to help me get started, and that's you and the Professor! Thank you for everything!
You’re so good at calling yourself out. Much respect, Nathan. I know some folks get on you about all the geegaws you buy for the farm, but I think, anything that saves wear and tear on your body is a wise purchase. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
The ends of your building are very tall, if you brought it down a little the rain may go in as far. Wishing you an family the best in the year to come and a Merry Christmas.
Glad to see you move the sawmill back aways from opening. I always thought that it would be better protected from the elements if it was further back and still give you easy access for logs.
I enjoyed your video, there is always something to learn from them. There is about a 0.1 % chance that I will ever operate a sawmill, but I still like to learn.
You are slowly getting there Nathan. A very Happy Christmas to you and your family. I hope that 2025 will turn out to be a good year for us all. Thank you for all the videos they teach a Blighty old man a lot. How about putting a dash cam in your truck so that we can see a bit of the area in which you live and work. Thanks again Nathan.
Glad you are getting your mill situated. The concrete would be nice. I couldn’t have a building like that around here or all the equipment would disappear over a couple nights.
That was a good dry move for shure, it would be nice to finish the stone from inside out to the driveway, nice clean dry work area, 😁 like you said , wet and muddy till march, woww
Trying different configurations in your barn, before pouring concrete reminds me of college. One year, they tilled and reseeded the quadrangle in front of the Library. Then the next year, they paved the foot traffic ruts.
If you take care about reducing noise of dust collection - i'm running a lt40 with 15kW electric motor - and I think its by far less noise than any combustion engine. For a stationary sawmill i'd always go for a electric one ..
super idea for the saw dust . when you're at the hardware pickup a couple of splices to have on hand also . Merry Christmas to you and the family also .
Merry Christmas to you and your family! I trust you will be able to rest from sawing and absorb the meaning of Christmas ! It's a wonderful time celebrating the birth of our Savior! Viewing from east central Alberta, Canada. We've got snow, been nice weather past 3 days, melting the ice of my deck which was covered withe ice.
Thanks for sharing with us Nathan, got everything moved around like you want it so everything is safer and room for the dust collector too. Stay safe and Merry Christmas to you all. Fred and family.
Nathan, I would like to help you out with the rain. Alabama needs rain. Send your rain south & we will take it & thank you for all you can share. Merry Christmas neighbor.
Merry Christmas to you, Nathan, and your family. As another youtuber says, when he makes a stupid mistake, you have to pay the stupid tax. Enjoy watching your videos from a wet, miserable Scotland. Mud season, that's us most of the year
If you didn't want the sawdust in the gravel, why did you park the mill farther onto the gravel pad? You need one more roller frames for the offload side with a stop at the outer end. Spaced apart, you can offload the lumber with the forks and handle each board fewer times!
hi there good show ,tried to get away with a short cut and got cough. i do the same kind of things daily , OH well . best to all and Merry Christmas John
Great description of weather in the South. I always laugh when I see your battery powered chainsaw but then I think of having to pull that cord every time you need it
Hey Nathan,….the background music you choose always gets my attention. Where and what sources do you use, also another Y Tuber that sometimes uses similar acoustics is (new to me) is ‘Farmer Tyler Ranch’ reminds me of your channel
In 1989 after I came home from the Army I went to work for the NC department of corrections. I hadn't been there long and I asked one of the Officers how they handled the boredom. He replied," Look forward to the boring days, I didn't want to see any exciting days." That has stuck with me, even today. Most of the excitement around here isn't good excitement.
Did very much the same thing when doing an engine swap on a '62 Ford Falcon Squire - Ended up crushing the speedometer cable … It happens, just got to roll with the punches.
Now i understand why you have yet to put Mr LT70 on a concrete pad.....but when ya do you can make a rock box to stand in/on at the controls or get a heavy duty foot mat....I had them at my bench or machinery stations in the sheet metal trade...mahes a big difference on an 8 hour day
Looks like an excellent move. Merry Christmas Nathan. Did you receive my package? I first shipped it to the Jackson, TN. address and it came back. So then I shipped it to the Kingsport, TN. address. Haven’t heard anything yet!

I love how things like RUclips is a place to learn from others. BTW, garage door looks great!
All the best and Merry Christmas to you and yours, Nathan! Everyday basic things are pleasure to see too!
Nathan, may you and your family enjoy the holidays together 🎄👍😮😊❤
Same to you!
If you haven’t thought of how to catch the sawdust from the conveyor try a tote with the plastic tank left in with just the top cut off!

Enjoy watching the evolvement of your businesses. No need to apologize for the lack of excitement. Thanks for sharing your thinking on the changes.
Mistakes are made, if we learn from them it makes us better.
Have a Merry Christmas, Nathan.

Merry Christmas to all your family, from Quebec Canada. Keep making beautiful videos.
Small mistake, easily fixed. No one was hurt, that’s a good day. Merry Christmas Nathan.

Merry Christmas to you and the family also .
Looking forward to meet you when you get back over in the Midway God bless
It's amazing how often when we try to save a step that it amounts to going one step forward and two steps backward!!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family! I trust you will be able to rest from sawing and absorb the meaning of Christmas ! It's a wonderful time celebrating the birth of our Savior!

Would love to see a weeks worth of rain. Looks like another dry winter. Starting 4 years of little rain and our reservoirs are almost critical.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
You too!
Merry Christmas and thanks for all the videos.
Same to you!
Nathan here’s wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!🎄. 👍❤️
You too buddy
Merry Christmas Nathan to you and your family 🎄🎄🎄

Great episode
That Stanley thermos looks brand new so I’ll tell you. Pour thru the top. No need to take the top completely off to pour.
Interesting

Tennesee should be twinned with South Yorkshire England, we seem to have the exact same weather as you!
Thx
No problem
I'm sure that blower motor completely drowns out that diesel motor
hi there good show ,tried to get away with a short cut and got cough. i do the same kind of things daily , OH well . best to all and Merry Christmas John
Thanks for watching! Merry Christmas.
WInder if it might be worth having two of those roller stands in parallel so moving material over is more stable. Great solution ,BTW.
Winter is as winter does. No point wasting time whingeing about winter when summer and autumn have been so pleasant,
Looks like a good plan!❤ Great watching your videos ❤
Appreciate that!
where did you find the roller conveyor
Woodmizer
Thank you for all the shows, now Merry. Christmas, and looking forward to 2025.
Marry Christmas my brother.
We benefit from bad days, so we appreciate the hood ones. Love your channel Nathan!😃
Enjoy your videos here in Kansas, it goes to prove on the tube, we’re all human. Glad it was minor.
It would be nice to see a vid of the controls and explain how you operate them.
God bless you 🙏 brother you do too much work for 1 person 🙏 🙌 😊😊
Thanks 🙏
I’d say see if you could add a inverter from the battery of the saw mill and maybe the mill could run the conveyor
Now that’s not a bad idea. Thank you
But we like to see what is happing on the farm
Go to your junk drawer! Surely you must have a little piece of brass or copper tubing to join those ends!
He probably would rather fix it right
Who doesn't love the wood Yoda!
Being informative does not have to have drama

At my work; we called those rollers "Gravity" Rollers
It’s not good to keep pulling the trigger, running lithium batteries you get it below the minimum voltage and the charger won’t charge it up
Sukses selalu 🎉🎉
Looks like an excellent move. Merry Christmas Nathan. Did you receive my package? I first shipped it to the Jackson, TN. address and it came back. So then I shipped it to the Kingsport, TN. address. Haven’t heard anything yet!
Nathan, buy you a grill cover to throw over the controller when not being used
Good idea for sure
Merry Christmas Nathan...dont u have a plastic union to hook that hose,,more easy..
