What about getting some 55 gallon plastic barrels, cut in half long ways and mount on a homemade pallet, making long enough or 2 side by side to catch the sawdust? Use the forks of the tractor pick up whole thing and dump! Would help eliminate shoveling and much quicker?
Merry Christmas Tyler and Brittany. I personally want to thank you for all your amazing videos I have watched faithfully over this past year I have watched them. And I look forward to watching them every time going forward. Hope you all take some much needed time off at Christmas.
Go old school for a video, run the horses pulling logs and use the circular saw. It has an awesome sound!! Merry Christmas!! Cheers from the great state of Arkansas!!
G'day from Down Under. Best wishes to you Tyler, Britt and Aiden for the Festive Season and looking forward to everything you put up in the new year, especially the Belgians.
Love you guys. David from Northwest Arkansas. I like your new saw and setup. My only advice is for operator to sit on chair or bar stool . Reason is people in banks, fast food, and cashiers at big box stores got shakey legs. Problem is standing for long time without moving weaklings the venous valves in our legs. These valves are like check valves in a water well. Fluid travels one way but valve closes and does not travel back the way it came. Short term relief is putting your feet up above head level when relaxing.
Tyler, I feel ya about the sensitivity to certain woods. Like me, many people are allergic to firs, pines, spruces... the trees we know as Christmas trees. This makes Christmas season a living hell because of the ubiquity of those trees, wreaths, etc. Here's a tip: if you think your sensitivity is an allergy or hay fever, try using fluticasone (Flonase) nasal spray. Works for me like a charm. You can get it OTC at Costco or other pharmacies.
I think you and Brittney made a very smart decision Tyler. “Economy of effort” and efficiencies are extremely important in the business world in terms of adding to your bottom line.
I bet the pallet company is glad you're back. The new sawmill is so much faster and better than the last LT 40 just like that sawmill was much better than the LTW15. I hope Woodmizer gave or is giving you a good deal, since you have done so much publicity for them. Yes Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Seems to me like the new mill is equal to adding the 3rd person to the workday. Time is important when it comes to production. As a manager for General Motors for years the fewer steps an employee had to take to do the job the more value, we got for the hour we paid them for. We also had pictures of the different parts of the finished products. Made sure the product was built right. Time really is money. In the early 80's one minute of down time in an assembly plant was $29,000 dollars a minute.
Have you ever considered a saw dust removal system? This could be a simple belt conveyor running parallel with the mill, then discharging into a pneumatic system which could blow it a considerable distance.
Nice mill you got! I used to work in production time study, and it looks to me like you all are still walking to many steps for total efficiency. But then I'm not there, and it's hard to tell from a video.
I love the features of your new LT40!!! It is a beautiful machine, but short of the full hydraulics and stationary controls, I can't imagine walking back and forth through the sawdust, with it blowing the dust in my face like the non-electronic, non-stationary controlled Woodmizers are!! I had wondered why it didn't have drag back, and I had the same kind of reasoning. I do think you can be more efficient if Brittany doesn't have to walk as far to the chopsaw, and also not have to avoid the saw head coming back. I think if you put a roller conveyor on your right side with a 3 foot gap for you to walk through for loading, would help the helper and the sawyer by helping to stage more and carry less!
Great ideas! We are considering building a 16’ extension on the building and placing the chip saw setup on the far end of the sawmill. I could lift the head up and pull it back, allowing her to grab the boards and pull right to the chop table.
@@wallacefarmandsawmill That would probably be the most efficient and although being in front of the blade, it is still a lot safer than dodging the blade guide arm that could be sticking way out and moving back quickly!!
Why havent we put some though into the sawdust removal into a bin some sort of sucker/ blower to cart away with the tractor speeds everything up and leave more time for sawing? Merry christmas.
Only thing that might be of help would of been a hydraulic log leveler but for this size wood, probably not worth extra cost. Curious tho as to can you still move the log stops individually?
Merry Christmas guys, the comment made about a conveyor that woodmizer puts out could save you backs by piling it up into a dumpable container. I know that option is expensive but it could be a timesaver as well as it being better for your lungs. Just a suggestion, take care.
I don’t know whether it would work in your area or not but you’re off cuts from your 2 x 4 pallet stock if you would cut them again 2 x 2 x 4 pieces bagged them and sell them for smoker wood. Greenwood always smokes better than wood that has been killing dried. God bless merry Christmas to you, your son and the rest of the Farm.❤✌️🇨🇦
It appears you lost a fair amount of table space at the operator end of the mill. Is the table sitting off to the side not installed yet or did it go with the other mill?
Well if you get a long hoe you could just put the bucket right by the sawdust pile and push it in or stand on the other side of the bucket and just pull it in and you'll be done in no time. Just a thought. God bless you and yours and all my brothers and sisters around the world. 😇 Eternal salvation: Romans 3:23-26, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9,10,13 1st Corinthians 15:1-4, John 3:15-17
It's a definite upgrade. Breathing sawdust is a killer. Thank you for sharing.👍

They are a great company for anyone to deal with!
See Nathan from Out of The Woods Sawmill. He has the so called wind chime’s drawback that seems to work perfectly.
Merry Christmas to y’all…
Nice new sawmill. Mery Christmas SEEYA

THANKS!
Mount you a mirror from your ceiling or a cheap backup camera so you can see your log better when turning it.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Connecticut.
Merry Christmas to you all! Hope you have a great new year!
Have you ever considered a saw dust removal system? This could be a simple belt conveyor running parallel with the mill, then discharging into a pneumatic system which could blow it a considerable distance.
Hi Tyler. Have you ever thought of producing the complete pallet on site and selling it directly?
Nice mill you got!
I used to work in production time study, and it looks to me like you all are still walking to many steps for total efficiency.
But then I'm not there, and it's hard to tell from a video.
Sure. You stand still doing all the cutting while miss Brittany works her pretty butt off.
With one person u would want the drag back feature, with two people u don’t need it.merry Xmas❤❤❤

Don’t dig the debarker in to hard into the logs. I’ve done that with my lt40 & it’ll overload it & you have to press the breaker button to reset it.
Why havent we put some though into the sawdust removal into a bin some sort of sucker/ blower to cart away with the tractor speeds everything up and leave more time for sawing? Merry christmas.
Coming soon.
You need a saw dust conveyor
Only thing that might be of help would of been a hydraulic log leveler but for this size wood, probably not worth extra cost. Curious tho as to can you still move the log stops individually?
You need a sawdust vacuum They make some nice ones that will also helps keep the air air clean

Kinda what I said before, build a sheet metal catch hopper as long as travel of dust chute an put fork access under neath an pickup an go dump
20:31 Just think. Some day, a RUclipsr will take some of that wood and make a dining room table out of it. 😂

How dose the debarker work
It appears you lost a fair amount of table space at the operator end of the mill. Is the table sitting off to the side not installed yet or did it go with the other mill?
Sounds like the bushes are getting wore out in the chopsaw.
So you're missing the army that comes out and pushes the board back towards you🤔🤓
Watch again. It isn’t missing. Listen close!
do you have a standing order with the company that makes the pallets?
Tyler get u a recliner now lol
Why do you not get a long hose with a blower on it just blowing your dust into a pile, it would get rid of a lot of cleanup
I see that sawdust mountain just keeps getting taller. At what point will you have to deal with that?
Why walk around a full pallet full of cut timber fill the furthest first or is that to easy to do ?
I thought that red cedaris bad to breath as well
Why not a step up to a L T 70
wind chimes
What's going on with the school bus? Haven't seen anything about it other than seeing it in the background.
Please madam, take care around power tools with your long hair, i can't stress to you enough! , nice work guys 👍✌️
