I had to add a second step because, for some as yet unknown reason, task manager did not recognize "explorer". However, if one opens the browse window, navigates to C: windows, Windows Explorer is available there, and selectable. That restored the system back to expectations.

Where should I have that File option in my Task Manager cause I do not see any such option. On my left panel I only have the following: 3 horizontal lines which for some reason cannot be clicked on, Processes, Performance, App history, Startup apps, Users, Details, Services and at the bottom Settings. I didn't know this and did this mistake of times by accident. What I did to fix it was to press Windows+L to lock the screen and restart form there. This works on windows 10, I don't know about windows 11.

i did the same stupid thing when my file was stuck in transfer i ended it and then panicked but then i restarted my laptop and it was back to normal but you can try using this too might help ❤️
