    screen piece goes around starter cup I think not on top of the cylinder. always place on cardboard or some type of padding on your drive when running it so you do not scratch the paint all to crap. awesome job.

    looks & sounds great. Do you use a gasoline-resistant paint, like bake-cured engine enamel or something? I've thought about painting some saws, but I figure gasoline will strip most paints & clear coats... and between filling the tank or draining it for storage, i figure gas will eventually come into contact with the paintjob.

      Thanks. I had an auto body shop color match automotive paint for me. I'm not sure what it is.

    I wouldn't put gas in it after restoration.
