    Master craftsman ship at work here. I really believe if this boat was finished at the time of the boat show it would definitely win the top award for a narrow boat. I bet you could start a company building these boats if you wanted to and have a couple of years of orders right now. The attention to detail make a huge difference. I would imagine when you get out on the cut many people will ask for a tour and many pictures taken of the boat. Nice that you have met so many people that will share the tools with you its so expensive to buy them for a small job and then won’t have a place to store them. Getting closer to a sail date. Do you have plans made of where you are going 1st? Please take us on a tour of the boat yard before you leave it sounds like an interesting place to live for a short time. Susan

      Thankyou Susan 👍. I think if we were a lot younger and fitter it would be something we would have liked to do together as a business but now everything we do is for us to enjoy a nice life. Maybe we could use our knowledge we have learnt through this build to help people out but I think that is as far as it will go. We have never been to a boat show but i think the boats on show are from well established boat building companies and don't think any self builds are on show. Perhaps that would be a good section if they did as there are some great self builds out there. Glad you are enjoying what we are doing 👍

      Thankyou Paul, The first one was slow with both of us working on it to get it how we wanted it but now all the jigs etc are prepared Grandad is shelling them out like pease. Ive not even seen him today as i'm working on something else in the boat. He never even came back for his lunch🥵😳lol. Keeping him out of trouble 👍

      Keep at it ,it’s going to be fantastic to see it finished.

    Another job beautifully done, isn't amazing what a skilled worker can do when there's a good foreman in charge! Bet that it was a relief when all of those circles lined up so perfectly. Having or being able to borrow the right power tools makes all the difference, dosent it?

      🤣🤣🤣He wouldn't know what to do without me 🤣🤣🤣.Believe me watching Grandad unsupervised could be a whole new channel 🤣🤣🤣. Yes and we wouldn't have been able to blame the tools if it hadn't matched either👍

      Cheers you 2 👍. Just watched yours too. Good decision to bring your wall out a bit you've made it a lot easier for yourselves further on. While you're adding some battens might be worth thinking about any you may need to go horizontally to hang any cupboards, shelves, stud walls, radiators etc where you need a bit of extra strength. We added loads as we went along. Keep going 👍

    • @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg
      @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg  Год назад +1

      Cheers Steve 👍. First time we've had a go on a Planer thicknesser and have been really pleased with the results of this Triton one. It would pay for itself very quick if we had bought one as we have saved a fortune on the Sapele already and off to buy some more tomorrow 👍

    Are you going to rename the channel when you get on the water?

    • @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg
      @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg  Год назад +1

      Thankyou for that 👍. Think we might just call it Disappeared 🤣🤣🤣. No, as we are not planning to do a big cruising channel we will keep the same name. It will be more of a sort of update on how we are getting on and what has worked or not worked for us in the build type of vlog. Perhaps every few weeks or so. We wont disappear completely but we won't be posting every week👍
