All 3 versions are gorgeous, but the white one is definitely my favorite. Thanks for sharing the versatility that can come from minor changes in a pattern and make up a completely different look.😊
Just when I thought it couldn't get any cuter, along comes an even more amazing variant! 😍😍😍 I love, love, love all three on you! For my advanced years it's too cleavage-tastic, I'd have to raise the front, but the overall silhouette is just awesome - and the sleeves, oh my word, the sleeves... 😃
I love the white version 😍 The sleeves set into the straps are more up my alley and oh, that skirt with all the insertion lace! I think this will go very well under the dirndl bodice and similar items and it looks more spectacular that what Burda did in the magazine. BTW, did they assume that broderie anglaise border went only along one edge when they calculated the 11m? Because I think you’d manage with a lot less if you could find a fabric that has the border on both sides. ❤
Sian! I visited London for the first time last week and after seeing your fabric shopping adventures of course I had to visit the shops on the Goldhawk road and Liberty of London. 😆I got a couple of really nice Liberty fabrics while I was there!
Your dress turned out beautiful! I saw it on instagram. I am so glad you are doing a tutorial for the dress because I would really like to see how to do insertion lace. I Have a skirt pattern that I would love to put insertion lace in. I would like a dress with the gores. I like that you get the slimmer waist but get it fluttery at the bottom.
Well lass, i am a whole 5ft 3/4inches, so if the tall girls were really kind, they could give us gnomes a couple of inches just to be able to walk into a store and walk out with something like trousers not needing to shorten. My best friend is 1/4inch off from 6feet tall and we kid around that i could give her what i cut off from my clothes. Love the white dress lass, it's bonnie, have fun.
I love how the lace looks on this dress! I am looking forward to the sleeve video for this dress as well. Trying to get the sleeve into the right angle of the strap/bodice connection keeps confusing me🙏. I also had the video playing at 1.25 speed and could not figure out why you were talking so fast! 🤣I figured it out eventually 😅. 💜
The white dress turned out so well! Can't wait to see it with the dirndl! On a separate note, I'm wondering whether you could wrangle the facings of your maxi dress into submission by stitching in the ditch along the princess seams. The Closet Core Pietra pant pattern has you do that for the front waist facing, and I haven't had any issues with it rolling.
I think most people would not believe you could get three dresses from the same pattern to look so completely different, but it is brilliant!
they're all gorgeous, but the white one is epic!! love love love!

I cannot wait for the sew along!!!!! Beautiful
That white dress is stunning Sian 😍 xxx
Oh that is a gorgeous dress!!!!!!!!!! xxxxxxx
I can’t wait to see how you changed it from button down to a zipper. They’re gorgeous and I can’t decide which I like best!
Looking forward to the sew along. I love watching your videos! They make me want to get over my fear and start trying to sew clothing.
Those dresses are lovely.
I'll be honest - the white could be lovely for an elopement/ garden wedding 😅 it's so so beautiful.
Congratulations on posting more videos.
Gorgeous dresses. You have just the right shoes too!

Ok, you have convinced me. Adding this pattern to my cart.

Gorgeous !
All I want to say is you’re very good at expanding patterns to your specifications. So talented. Adorable dresses as usual
Thank you for making a sewing tutorial for this pattern ❤
Love that white dress and the red one too. You did a beautiful job.

Yes please to godets!!!!!!!
Fabulous dress how do you stop the drop waist from bunching at the rear as in pushing the zip out

I shall give that a try! Thank you :)

Well that explains why I have to take so much out of the waist, I'm more like 5ft 1 😂

Godets are dead easy. Pencil-on-a-string is your friend :)

So, what you are saying is, I need to buy more fabric and make this dress 😂😂😂
Well I’m not not saying that…..😉🤣
🐕
😍 Your tiered and gathered skirt method never disappoints!
