I've always gotten a full can of soda on flights. They give you a cup of ice with a napkin and the can on the side so you can pour it yourself haha.

On Alaska Airlines, they pour it into a cup with ice and then they don't give you a whole can. It seams greedy

I was much the same until a few years ago. It turns out that using water is more common; if you order a hot chocolate when you're out, you'll most likely be getting that unless it's a premium shop.
