Hi Tim! Greetings from sunny northwestern Minnesota! Happy you got your shots and you're looking extremely healthy and happy ☺️ Just one wish if there's a vegan/vegetarian dim sum establishment anywheres in Canada and or the States!
Hi Calvin! Actually, I was just chatting with a friend about this.. Just paying attention to some of the impacts of having meats etc and was quite interested in seeing what it would be like to dine on vegetarian or even vegan cuisine... I know there's quite a few nice places around and just trying to seek them out.
Hi Susan, it was a very nice time especially getting a chance to eat with some friends that I've met in person for the first time. Definitely liking the variety and half the fun is trying to find a favorite...all are very good and still continuing the search for the favorite ;-)
Great video. I really like the restaurant vids you do and I am a big fan of visiting Vancouver. Two places I've always wanted to go are Banana Leaf (any location) and the Sura Korean BBQ in Richmond. Any possibility of you doing upcoming vids on these places ?
Thank you so much! It's actually kind of hard to find nice places to visit. I just looked at Sura and it looks fantastic! Much appreciated and I might even reach out to see if I can try their lunch special! So many courses and so many dishes 😋. Thank you again Coltrane Cave
@@TimLeeLetsGo I've heard Sura is authentic. The lunch set special is a more affordable version of their Set Course meal which is quite pricey at dinner time. I don't know if it has as many dishes as at dinner but I've seen in other vids that it's quite a good deal. I've always wanted to try this kind of presentation of Korea's royal court cuisine in Canada (I've had it in Korea). Looks like it's worth a try.
@@coltranecave5503 my goodness! I just saw the dinner set menu and it is pricey! Unfortunately, you've piqued my interest and curiosity 🤦🏻♂️... Still trying to justify $200 per person for a dinner... @@TimLeeLetsGo Now I'm stressed out b/c if you go and it's a disappointment I'll feel like I owe you $200! On a related note, there are some more affordable BBQ options which look tempting also (although they're a bit pricey too).

Hey Tim, I’m a big ‘fan’ for want of a better word. Great to see you out and about again. One genuine question to Tim and any other viewers in North America - why do people there use “chef” as a title (rather than a job description - I’m especially thinking of people calling Gordon Ramsey ‘chef Ramsey’)"? In the UK we tend to reserve that for Doctors, professors and religious leaders Etc. No criticism intended, just a cultural understanding sought. I imagine you don’t preface all people by their job title? Grounds keeper Willy excepted, of course 🙂 Thanks guys and keep delivering great content Tim.
Really hoping Ontario (particularly Toronto) will soon be back to normal. WRT the chicken feet, I don't think he reached beyond the third toe ;-D Hope all is well with you and yours!
@@TimLeeLetsGo thanks Tim, hope things get back to normalcy come July or August? I live in Windsor next to Detroit. Border city, the food in Michigan is great too!
Been to Neptune many time while in Vancouver BC. probably been going for 30 years . looks like folks there are getting as creative as folks in the states when it comes to operating . Hopefully all the Virus issue will subside soon and Canada will reopen the borders. i will be one of the first to head there for food . Chicken feet is an aquired taste. i personally dislike it, but my kids love it
Oh, yes, Neptune is certainly been around for quite some time and justifiably so... It does look like things are getting better and most definitely looking forward for the boarders to reopen :-)

Hi Abdul, a warm welcome to Vancouver! If you're in Vancouver, I would recommend Kirin (on Alberni Street) which is just a nice walk to get your appetites going... There is also a fancy place called Mott32 nearby, but it's a bit higher end.
@@TwoChefsAndAKnife Hardly anyone taps their two fingers these days when tea is poured for them. It was a nice thing for you to do. Tim didn't need to call you out on it.
Thanks willsharecandy and Grace, I could certainly be wrong too... I thought it a two finger (middle and ring finger) type scenario... It was all meant in good fun and most of the incidents seem to be at the expense of Chef Neal :-) And a big thank you to Neal for being such a great sport :-)
@@TimLeeLetsGo Hey Tim. I also felt that you singled out Neal too much for being a dim sum newbie. There are so many cuisines that I've never tried, and would also not be familiar with their dishes or methods of eating e.g. Ethiopian food. Also, when Neal was about to eat the fluffy bun, you could have warned him that it was oozy. You are correct that it is a two fingers tap. I think only older Asians (50+) would practice this tradition these days, if at all.

@@jaded2539 oh, I had such a bad experience with the first shot 🤒
I wish I could eat like you and not gain weight. Thanks for bringing us along. It’s a very unique channel as you literally talk to us as tho we are right there with you. Love it. Thx. 👍
I always appreciate your kind comment, but I'm pretty sure it's due to the camera angle :-) Thank you again and it's always a pleasure to connect with everyone (in person or virtually) over a meal :-)
@@TimLeeLetsGo haha! it's not the camera angle, LOL!
Great video👍🏼❤️😋
Thank you Phoenix 🙂
Hi Tim. I hearded you say some words in cantonese. Love your videos. I live in Brazil
Hi Joao! Warm greetings to you from Vancouver!
Looks so delish. I've never heard of Ying Yang rice. Tim, you're always so gracious and kind. What is your favourite dim sum item?
And the fact that it's a minimum of four people... It'll take a lot of convincing to find three friends that will go, but I'll work on it 😃😉
@@TimLeeLetsGo Now I'm stressed out b/c if you go and it's a disappointment I'll feel like I owe you $200! On a related note, there are some more affordable BBQ options which look tempting also (although they're a bit pricey too).
Neptune Seafood Restaurant is very good. Ate at that restaurant in sep 2019 and their YVR outlet wonton restaurant
Quite enjoy it too.. it's one of the staples here I think 😋
this video got me hungry
Hi Tim! Another amazing video and the food looks delicious 😋 Patio dining can be fun too. I’m happy to see you enjoy another great meal with friends...keep enjoying life.
P.S. I got my vaccine too and it was worth it.👍
Great to hear about the vaccine PMR! Thank you again and yes, the patio was definitely quite enjoyable and hopefully they keep this going even after the restrictions are lifted. All the best to you!
Do you think you’ll return to this restaurant? I remember watching this back then.
I saw two of my favorites: chicken feet and taro cake. But come on, Tim... Heineken instead of Tsingtao? Lol
Good eye Rick! We actually did order Tsingtao, but the server brought out Heineken by mistake. We couldn't send her back with two perfectly good bottles of beer already at the table :-)
I can't wait to see you attack a buffet in Vegas again 🤪
Ohh... I've been seeing the Vegas videos with the Caesars buffet opening again! Looks great and can't wait to give it a try!
Dim Sum is bomb diggity.
:-)
I left a msg on my other name earlier 🤣...but everything you all ate...I would of eaten...the sticky rice is called lor mai gai and it's was wrapped in a lotus leaf 🤗...was surprised the pan fried lobster noodle dish, they used a different noodle, never had it with vermicelli noodles before...glad Neal liked the chicken feet 👍🤣...enjoy my friend ❤
Thanks Jade! Neal was quite a good sport :-) I must say, that lobster vermicelli dish was probably the favorite! Thank you again!
@@TimLeeLetsGo My pleasure...the lobster dish had my mouth watering 😘...Yqw, can't wait to see where you take me next 🤔🤣🤣🤣
Congrats! I just got my 2nd Moderna shot.
That's awesome! Hope you're feeling well afterwards!
@@TimLeeLetsGo I feel good. just a sore arm. Thank you
estn tuyet v ngon thank you
Great video but who gets all the leftovers? BTW we just went to our local casino for Peking Duck it was amazing.
Well, put this way.. Chef Neal certainly did not take home the chicken feet ;-) Glad to hear the Casinos (and maybe their buffets) are opened again!
@@TimLeeLetsGo the local casinos have the buffet closed some like Ceasars in Las Vegas are back open. Nevada is open. California is opening slowly.
All my chinese girls "friends" ate chicken feet in college. I got hooked on it after lolz
The tripe is very good drinking food in asian culture.
I can't think of a better way to get hooked on different types of foods 😃
No doubt, Vancouver has the best dim sum in North America.
It's hard to find a Dim Sum place that's not good.
Tripe is life
Hey Tim, I’m a big ‘fan’ for want of a better word.
LoL Marcus... good question and I must admit, I started with the prefix after watching some cooking shows with Gordan Ramsey as well :-D
It means the head of the kitchen
He's the boss, director
Weather permitting, I always prefer to dine "al fresco".
The chicken feet wasn’t finished? 🤔 I love chicken feet. Richmond has some amazing Chinese food! Wish we at least had patios opened up in Ontario? 🙄
Muito legal PARABÉNS
Thank you so much!
Such different dim sums than San Francisco, CA
Oh... I wonder what are the difference and hopefully we can find out first hand :-D
Hi, we are coming to Vancouver from the UK end June can you recommend a good dim sum restaurant. we are staying at the Fairmont WaterFront
Thanks Abdul
Hi Abdul, a warm welcome to Vancouver! If you're in Vancouver, I would recommend Kirin (on Alberni Street) which is just a nice walk to get your appetites going... There is also a fancy place called Mott32 nearby, but it's a bit higher end.
I thought the tripe was shredded mozzarella cheese.😂
Hi Mary, they did shred that very fine, but trust me, it did not taste like mozzarella cheese ;-)
Chicken feet are always the challenge, lol
Agreed... Quite a bit of work 😉
It seemed like Neil did the same thank you gesture with his hand as Grace. Can you explain the error.
Grace here! I probably did it wrong too! I was born and raised in Vancouver with a Filipino background so I’m a bit rusty!
@@willsharecandy8375 that's a very fair comment indeed, and will certainly watch for that. Neal is fantastic for trying new things.
Oh, yes... The custard bun... Believe me, you should have seen the look on our faces.. we absolutely did not expect that to happen nor did we even think that that would happen! When we we're filming, we can't get to the food very fast and it may sit out for a while.. we are certainly glad the buns were out for about a good 20 minutes or so and were cool. 🙂
I know where that restaurant is... I've been to it a number of times over the years
It's a bit of a classic Asian restaurant in Richmond
😀
OMG Elon Musk has a food vlogging channel 😦
Parking Pho 😂
it's look like they come form Hong Kong
I don't think chef Neal looked like he came from Hong Kong🤔
