I’m a Woman and I own this exact truck in Iridescent pearl white! 2021 High country it’s a Beauty! I never understand why people complain about more features inside the interior 😂 Really? 98% of people keep their interior looking like a trash can! No one sees your interior if your at a stop light even with windows down who cares! Drive the damn truck! N that’s that! Mine still looks brand new inside & outside, the look on the guys face when I take her in for oil change 😂 mamm did you just buy it? Ummmm No! I keep it clean! Period no excuse to have a dirty Interior!
Doing good my friend. I’m a Chevy salesman and you’re doing a pretty good job at going through the truck. Being that it’s a truck review, though, I would tailor it more toward truck buys. Talk about bed capacity (in terms of yardage for material) payload, towing capacity, etc. Do the same with other vehicles as well. If it’s a traverse talk about how many shopping bags you can fit in the back. Make it fun! Love what you have so far though. Let me know if you ever need help with fact finding on anything. I have the resources!
nice review. i've never been a chevy truck fan, and i'd still put it in 3rd place but in all honesty, they're all good these days. I'd like to see more time behind the wheel and talk about how it drives in various situations.
Hang in there Harold.I have 2 heart bypasses, 5 stints in my chest and one in my right Carotid Artery. At 75 years old I am doing OK and you can too. I will pray for your continued good health. God bless you.
Well, I love my 6.2L 2019 High Country, and I don't notice any difference on this one, two years later, except of course 2021 tag and it seem that this one(maybe I'm wrong) was assembled in Mexico compared to mine which was built in Fort Wayne(Indiana?). Yeah, mine does not have the extra option on the tail gate, but I have no need for that anyways. One thing you did missed on your otherwise fine review, is that the tail gate do go back in closed position if you give it a little push from under it, very useful when you have your hands full, but you're still right that the remote does not provide this option. The one thing I tought that Chevy missed is about aesthetics, that fine front grill, as well as some interior trims are gold in color, and there is not much to match it, it should have been either all silver, or with way more matching bits and parts in gold color, like the High Country logo, or the 6.2L letters that are mounted on the hood, as well as various buttons/controls inside that should have been gold instead of that boring plastic black. Anyways, all that said, I have a 2022 on order now to replace my 2019.
Because of the "multi-flex" option I do not believe this tailgate raises itself back up. I cannot find anywhere online where it says it has that functionality and I could not get it to work at the dealer.
@@AlphaShark You may be right, it may be too heavy with the extra option to lift back by itself, but it definitly does if one does not choose this option.
No, you cannot put it back up Isaac! :( I wish the tailgate went up but my guess is that due to the multi-flex system it will not go back up. And thank you! It's funny because I just got another comment on a different video where someone trashed me for being a Christian, it's so interesting the differing perspective.
Toyota bring a new tundra for 2022 hope you review it as soon as you can as im on the market for a new truck currently thinking between sierra 1500 slt and ram 1500 laramie and im going to wait to see what the mew tundra brings to the table
I like keeping my money makings money for me instead of buying something that looses value faster than you can pay off that loan. 😂😂 7 to 8 year payments DAMN.

You forgot to mention that that truck will only be good for the first 5k miles give or take, and after that it will be most of the time back in the dealer's repair shop dealing with major issues starting with Lifters failure and other really bad motor issues!... Mine spent a month in the shop due to lifters failure with under 5.4k miles on her. They gave it back to me last Friday (8/27/2021) after replacing all the lifters in her motor(both sides), and today (Monday 8/30/2021) the fkn Check Engine Light came back on again!... Really! 🤦🏾♂️ I'm taking her tomorrow back to the dealer. I'm 5 more days away of cumulative stay at the repair shop for the same cause in order to file a lawsuit under the Lemon Law, so I could make them buy my truck back and go for a different brand... Toyota Tundra maybe, or Ford 150...GM really screwed up this beautiful truck with their poor engineering on this truck's engine!... DO NOT BUY THIS TRUCK NOR ANY NEWER GM TRUCK OR SUVs...
I'm sorry you had that experience with this truck, obviously, that was not GM's intention when making it and as a reviewer, at the time I can't speak for every individual case. Though I will say that I have heard similar cases to yours recently because of my GM truck reviews, especially on the Silverado, not as much on the Sierra. I hope that you can get the lemon law case resolved and an F-150 or Tundra suits you well.
@@AlphaShark Google the hundreds of cases like mine...GM already knows about it and every GM dealership are overwhelmed with the amount of failure brand new GM trucks with the same issue. That's not new, and I regret not having done a good research before pulling the trigger on such an expensive truck from them!... By the way, my neighbors got a brand new 2021 GMC Sierra 1500, and it's already at the dealership with less than 2k miles with bent pushrods and lifters... The truck stopped working and left them stock in the middle of nowhere on their way back to their home here in Arizona. They towed their truck to the dealership and now they have a rental until they "fix" their truck! 🤦🏾♂️
I have a 2021 Silverado High Country that I purchased in May of 2021. It has 7200 miles on it and It has not missed a beat. The truck runs like a scalded dog and drives almost as good as my 2021 ZL1 1LE. Not nearly as fast though.
@@billyrichardson3075 Well you are still driving a time bomb that's about to go off anytime soon!... Hopefully that doesn't happen to you🤞🏾 But trust me, it's going to happen. The sad part is that since your truck is almost 8k miles, Chevrolet will only replace the lifters on the only side of your motor that will fail instead of replacing them all, as they did with mine. Google it and you'll see that GM had recognized the issue and check their solution to it...After that replacement my truck has been doing OK... Good luck with your truck. 🤞🏾Can you do me a favor, can you come back and let me know when your truck finally give up and fail!... I'm curious at what mileage you'd will fail, because trust me, it will... Have a great rest of your night! 👍🏾

Absolutely Debra! I know for my addictions in life God has opened the door for me and I've had to jump through it. It's a lot of work on our parts but it's totally worth it.

The retractable running boards are an option and come standard in one of the premium options. Mine due to be built week of 5/9/22.
FYI if you press and hold tailgate button while it’s open, it will close. 👍🏽
I do not believe this one came equipped with that, I tried many times.
@AlphaShark I have a 2021 high country tailgate goes up and down with fob and inside.
Great review of a very nice truck. I just can't get used to the side-view mirrors of where they are being mounted.
I just bought a 2014 High Country. And saved about $40,000. Prices are insane. I may never buy new again.
Good review, but the tailgate does lift back up on its own, you just have to hold the button 😊

Ya. Whats your order?
The 2020 High Country goes up and down from the Key Fob.
Do the cameras have the ability to continuously record and act as a security system with DVR playback?
I don’t believe so, not on this specific truck. For the 2022 model year they may, but I haven’t gotten a chance to review that yet.
How much does it weigh?
Great review! Love the Bible verse in the in end! Subscribed!
Best v8 out there
Good looking
Just need a bit better interior
we have a 2021 ltz silverado with the reg tailgate and it lowers and lifts by its self wonder why the multi pro doesn't?
I wonder if it’s something in the tri-folding functionality that it can’t raise it self back up.
Tailgate closes if you hold the button on key fob
It does not on the one with the multiflex.
I have a solid tailgate 2021 high country and It does power up and down.
