Hey Ben, Another great video from you and the Mrs. I would give this Denali an A+ on the exterior. The color really stands out and it's a departure from the Raptor/Ram look. I would give the interior a C-. You can really see the cost-cutting with the lack of up-to-date tech and comfort.
Great video man! Great shots, great points and amazing idea with having your wife give Her view on the truck too! Keep it up and please review the 2022 Denali as soon as it comes out. It’s gona be interesting!
Peace. I’m not the one to give comments often. I really hope you read my words... here I go. First off. Nice truck. For the record, I own a 2020 Denali. I’d love to send you pics and videos. Ok ! The Denali is the best truck out there on the market. I’m so sick and tired of people being so ignorant when it comes to trucks and specifically our truck. These manufacturers have a budget to work with when it comes to producing a single vehicle. Let’s say a single vehicle cost 20k. To produce. GMC didn’t spend 8k in interior and 5k in a panoramic roof with all of the structural and integrity upgrades for roll-over insurance institute ratings Mumbo-jumbo...!!! Nooo! They said... let’s give the world The most beautiful vehicle the car industry has ever produced. Let’s do something ground breaking with the tailgate. Let’s give an naturally aspirated engine that KICKS AZZ ...! Don’t get me stars in this trucks power. I have video of my rear dash cam with me SMOKING ... this poor Ford Lariat..! The Ram limited’s power is just as bad... and the Ford’s limited... yes, the limited edition with the Raptor engine and all that power has some called “turbo -lag “ so although it has mor power. You should feel the huge jerking motion it has upon acceleration... even in lower gears... and although they(Ford-and Gm) collaborated on the Allison transmission I promise you that fords 10speed feels like and 8peed. I know this because I’ve test driven them. And just recently bought a work truck xlt. If you want all the nicer roofs and stitching then be prepared to pay 12k more. That will be the difference. And the 12” screens are problematic and not as HD as the Denali...I can go on. The Bose sound is amazing and I’ve added the kicker sub... OMG...!!! Don’t even go there Ford or ram... No comparison. I’ll end it here. Nothing I’ve written was intended to be personally insulting to anyone. I’m passionate about my truck and I wish it was a way to post pics. Most people that comment drive hoopties... For 72k. When you drive down the road you actually look like it. Not so much for other competitors who haven’t changed their body style and you can’t tell if a particular trim is 30k or 80k. Until you can see the badge in the rear .. are you kidding me ..!
Great video you two! After being a long time GM guy and owning two Sierras, they recently lost me to Ford. This past weekend I purchased a 2021 F150 Limited Powerboost and it has all of the luxury interior features this truck is missing. The F150 will back up a trailer for you and I also got the new 7.2 kw generator which will power your home or camper off grid. It also has the Active 360 2.0 Prep Package that will allow self driving later this year via an over the air update. I hear Super Cruise is coming to the 22 models. As unbelievable as I think the Ford is, it's missing a few features that were in my 2014 Sierra that annoy me like Auto Reverse Tilt Mirrors, proximity door lock feature (when you walk away from the vehicle it automatically locks) It's also missing a head up display which I really came to enjoy on both of my Camaro ZL1s. Also, as much as a leap forward Sync 4 seems to be over Sync 3. GMC's intellilink system just works better. You could send directions from your phone to your nav since 2013, but it doesn't seem to work in the F-150. In all, I think you can't go wrong with this truck because it's a bit of a throwback. Nobody makes a great looking street truck anymore. The Denali, Elevation and Chevy Silverado RST are the only games in town. Also the stalk column shifter is one of the only true THIS IS A TRUCK characteristics remaining. There's something to be said about pulling it down into gear that adds to the experience. And I believe that is why it's still there, even though the Yukon has gone away from this. Again, great review and I look forward to more.

Nice review...going back and forth between Denali or High Country...but the Carbon bed seems to be the deal breaker. Now need to wait until dealers get some inventory.
I recently purchased this vehicle and was quite disappoint when looking at the Ford and Ram. GMC should have kept the adjustable pedals and it doesn't come with a center console organizer. It seems like a deep hole for the center console. I do agree with all of his cons for this vehicle. I've tried to love it by installing a cold air intake and borla exhaust. Love the modification but still regret the purchase. I've had the vehicle for a few months and considering selling it.

Nice Truck, Thanks for Your Breakdown; My last & 2nd Full Size Truck was a 2002 GMC 2500 HD Burgundy SLT. I'm Liking These Trucks despite the Leather. Leather in SLT wasn't Great. but I Put 188,000 before Trade In! The 2500 was more Power than I ever needed. So I will Be Looking at the 2021 GMC Denali 1500 Crew Cab Carbon Pro Edition Thanks Again!
Love the truck, however GM went cheap with the powertrain and the interior. In the 6.2 engine should have been upgraded to 480 Hp and 500 ft Ib of torque. The 5.3 should have 400hp 420 ft lb of torque. The interior should have more wood, aluminum, larger screen, and diamond quilt stitching. I hear in 2022 they are going to update the interior.
The exterior is amazing!! The color on this truck and the chrome work makes it pop, but, again Ram's interior eats this trucks lunch all day long. I spend more time in my truck driving it vs looking at it...get your s!#t together GM...until then im still hunting a RAM...
The interior of the Ram is amazing, but the GMC exterior eats the Rams exterior for lunch. Plus the the DENALI ride quality is way beyond that of the RAM.
@@supervisor404atlanta3 Also if I'm not mistaken the Ram ride on bags....care to wager how much to get one bag replaced after the warranty goes out. And I bet time the warranty goes out so does one if not more bags go out. Bags on a commuter truck or vehicle is just not practical....IMO🤷🏽♂️
Ben thanks for the video! Couple things, did GM do away with the active noise canceling? Also while wood on the steering wheel looks nice it’s not practical in the cold weather, unless they actually heat that part! I like your suggestion about the rotating shifter but Ram/Chrysler has had so many issues in the past. I’m glad though the shifter is off the center console. One more thing, the screens are not important as you need hard buttons to operate the controls. Trying to operate with the touch screen is too dangerous while driving. GM does a good job not making you use the screen for everything. Think glove wearing. Same issue with the sunroofs. You leave that cover open and you get nothing but zero degrees cold permeating through. You did a great job, thanks again!
Thanks for the cold weather perspective. I live in Florida so I don't have the same cold weather concerns but this input gives me good insight...appreciate your points.
I still prefer the AT4, to be honest. While I dig that 6.2, I think my perfect version would be the AT4 with the Duramax and Carbon Pro bed. Glorious! Great review as always! Hey, the weather is warming up... let's get together and film!

Great energy man, fantastic review! But I must say this. What a let down of an interior. GMC Denali used to be the standard, not anymore tho. What is a luxury truck doing with a work table??
Living in the Chicago especially in the city I’d be afraid to drive this thing with car jacks up 55% and I’m not a flat bed person but this truck is nice!!!!
When this Denali come out in 1999 I think,a was a luxury beautiful suv, then gmc built a Denali truck and was the perfect truck even better than Cadillac or Lincoln truck I personally bought a 2011 Denali truck on white/Perl color a was the best truck I ever bought after that Denali trucks are not a luxury truck anymore and until today RAM TRUCKS are the best truck in the market and every year is getting better and better
Yes we took this on the highway and experienced the same level of comfort, on less than perfect roads you will feel bumps, but no more than a luxury sedan since the wheelbase is so long.
Best looking truck on the road but not with black wheels...I agree with some on here GM has got to pick it up big time on the interior it's so far behind the RAM and Ford F-150.
What a great and personal review, instantly subbed. I think the Sierra is the greatest looking truck right now, but man they are way behind with that interior. Looks so plastic and cheap.
They definitely cut cost on the interior. With improved features it would be almost 100k. But I think it has the most attractive exterior of them all. They F -150 has a panoramic roof and fully reclining seats but doesn't ride as well.
Great Review!!! I was able to agree on the exterior as a very nice improvement and that swinging running step is excellent. The interior looks no different than my current 07 Yukon XL styling and that is a huge disappointment. I'm upgrading my touchscreen stereo based on this review instead of shopping for a new truck now...that small screen looks dated and the lack of luxury touches is glaring inside. I would prefer some contrasting signature stitching, the reclining rear seats would be amazing. Lastly a panoramic sunroof, my wife's caddy suv has a nice one and brightens her car even with the Florida sun we appreciate it in a dark interior. The tailgate is a really nice feature but I won't buy a truck just for a multifunction tailgate EVER lol. GMC Can do better at this price point for a "luxury" truck.
This is a good review but my honest option is they should keep the shifter you know since it’s a truck and not incorporate a shift knob since it’s a truck not a sedan or suv.
I think that’s a fair assessment, the stalk wouldn’t be such a huge pain point for me if it was made out of higher quality materials and looked better.
Yes the interior could use a over-haul but will say, still like the clean flat dash, as i do in a Jeep "clean and simple" Really like the Ram Interior, but not the large screen. Now recently test drove the new F150 Limited by invitation. Ram you lost it! The most comfortable seats ever inside of a Pick Up truck taken from the Lincoln division and not to mention the sound system and Massaging seats. I'm a lease owner of a 2020 GMC Elevation Crew Monochromatic Black and tow a Travel trailer and truly enjoy this truck and the interior silence; riding on the same black rims featured here but 20 inch.
I completely agree that screen is too small!! And to cheap for such a exspensive truck!!! Come on GM 10in or better!!!! Ram an Ford kicking ass on that part
I have a 2013 Denali crew cab its perfect for a family of 4, my wife even rides in the back comfortably when the baby is grumpy, love that color

I like your work 👍👍✊👊
I appreciate that!
Best looking truck on the road but not with black wheels...I agree with some on here GM has got to pick it up big time on the interior it's so far behind the RAM and Ford F-150.
Ben we need the Alpina BX7 video. Please!!! We know you'll do a great video.
I'll look in to that.
What a great and personal review, instantly subbed.
I think the Sierra is the greatest looking truck right now, but man they are way behind with that interior. Looks so plastic and cheap.
GM time to step up the game
This exterior with a new Ram or maybe Ford interior is my ideal
Yeah, the interior for 2022 looks to be a big improvement. Otherwise a beautiful truck.
Yes sir. Keeping v8 in trucks.👍
They definitely cut cost on the interior. With improved features it would be almost 100k. But I think it has the most attractive exterior of them all. They F -150 has a panoramic roof and fully reclining seats but doesn't ride as well.
A lot of the money in the $70k price is the suspension. But I do agree that the interior of at least the Denali could use a bit nicer touches.
You all should test a Honda Ridgeline. I really like to hear your perspective and particularly your wife’s about it.
This guy does truck reviews right? The Honda doesn't qualify, sorry. 😁
And they stall out pulln a trailer up hills, they jus look gud bro
I think that’s a fair assessment, the stalk wouldn’t be such a huge pain point for me if it was made out of higher quality materials and looked better.
yep, the interior definitely needs an upgrade. but other than that its a great looking truck.
For sure! Can't wait to review the upcoming refresh!
Sounds like you had a blast in the new F-150! I can’t wait to test it!
I completely agree that screen is too small!! And to cheap for such a exspensive truck!!! Come on GM 10in or better!!!! Ram an Ford kicking ass on that part
