Thank you for not turning your channel into a commercial as you mentioned on your video. I really appreciate your honesty, effort and time you put into your videos.
I liked all of your China Tools videos - very fair and balanced. One additional thing about the angle finder - I am on my second one from Wixey - the first (from around 2000) used a 2032 coin cell and whenever the battery failed it caused a period of no use followed by a trip to the store. The second one I purchased when Wixey changed their design to use a much more standard and available AAA battery. I always have these around for replacement. I purchased the second one just because of the more available battery.
I just discovered your channel and I’m really enjoying it. I’ve been a woodworker for 40+ years, never really took Chinese tools seriously. But I was very impressed with the corner clamps and the 45 & 90 squares. Great value for money. Keep making these great videos!

I have had a digital angle meter for a few years and find it an excellent tool for setting up my saws and also measuring angles for general carpentry. I think you are being a bit overly worried about the accuracy. I don't believe that many woodworkers are measuring angles to an accuracy of 0.1 degrees. I have only recently found your channel and appreciate the content I have seen so far. Thank you.

Thank you! I just now discovered your channel and your China Tools series when I was struggling with whether I should order some inexpensive tools from China during the 11.11 sale for the woodworking shop I am setting up.
Great channel! I also invested some more of my dimes in China tools. Actually due to the additional discounts from you and 11.11. Great tips and advice. Thumbs up for your channel.
Received the clamps I bought based on the review in this video. Very happy with the quality and have now used them on several projects. Thanks Dennis for the honest review you did that helped me make a decision on whether or not I should buy them.
Happy belated birthday to me for finding your channel, Dennis. I've been looking at Chinese woodworking stuff for a while and your recommendations will go a long way in convincing me to buy some. Many thanks and instant subscription to your channel!
Excellent as always. I recently received a set of the New brand dog hole table clamps which are a clone... If not made in the same factory... As the Festool dog hole table clamps. The quality and build is so much more than I expected and at only $37 ($30 with the 11/11 sale) for a set of 2 vs $125 or more (depending on vendor) for the Festool clamps... It's a no brainier. I'll definitely be interested in more from this brand.

The problem appears to be availability at the moment (2023). My various tools have been on order from Banggood for over 3 months now with no sign that they will ship any time soon. The only one that has arrived is the pocket hole jig. So if you need to get on with things check stock before ordering.
Dennis, super bedankt, al je filmpjes steeds gevolgd en nu met deze actiedagen de precision square, miter square en t-ruler aangeschaft, vooral ook om jou een klein steuntje in de rug te geven en m'n tools uit te breiden uiteraard. :)
I use the smaller level to measure slope of tubing that must be at a minimum, or the fluid will not drain.. This is for Pharmaceuticals, so it is important.
i have the handle jig ,its was great at the start for doing kitchen doors ,i set ,then drill through the hole but after a few uses the screw that holds the jig is very small and hard to tighten . i now use a pliers to give the final 1/4 turn to stay in place .the screw or the sliding jig is worn ,so am now very weary of using this product as i fit kitchens for a living .might have to bit the bullet and buy the woodpecker one for 200 euro
I just ordered the stainless steel angle meter. I needed one with flat sides and no magnets on at least one of the edges. I use this to set the height of the rakers to 6 degrees when sharpening my chain saw blades. I have to be careful with the current meter I have, as the magnets can pull up the links giving an incorrect reading. This method produces a better cutting chain over a traditional depth gauge.
I'm glad there are knockoff tools. Woodpeckers OneTIME Tool concept is frustrating and borderline insulting to consumers. I want a rounding jig now, not in two or thee (or many never) years time. ALSO if you go to 'Plywood Working' channel, you can get a free plan to turn this into a Kreg K5 type jig. And a last comment, I used DHL on a premium delivery of a Qiangsheng Luban size 4-1/2 hand plane. Picked up on Nov *6th* in Hong Kong and delivered, with customs paid, in eastern Canada on the morning of November *10th* with email notifications at each step. Expensive, but first-rate.

Dennis...With regard to your comments regarding the error of the digital angle meters, I personally have not used one, however based on your comments I am assuming that they can be "Zero Set" prior to use? If they cannot be zero set...Did you consider that the instrument may be reading an absolute measurement? By that I mean; is that your precision square for example, rests on the surface of your sawbench table when used to measure the angle of your saw blade. If your saw bench table was not perfectly level...wouldn't the error show up on the digital instrument?
Would you be so kind to mention what batteries (in detail) are needed for the mini digital protractor. It was not included and it is not mentioned on the instructions. I bought the metallic magnetic mini version with only one battery.
How is shipping for you guys?, I used banggood a lot before, but then they changed how they ship items to Norway, so now it's not tracakble, and the item shows up suddenly on the door at night. And I get the message about delivery when it's there. Last time I was away for christmas, so I was lucky the item still was there. I think it's something called migyston they use, maybe that is some local thing? Do you get it by post or something else?
I just stumbled across this channel by accident. I'm hooked now. I just subscribed. I must admit the first time I heard him say 'China Tools', because of his accent I thought he said 'genitals'...LOL!!! Keep up the content. Excellent series.
Man, I really liked this video. You actually got a like and subscribe out of me on just the second set of clamps. You do an excellent job of detailing their uses, drawbacks, and even testing precision to some degree. I'm a beginning wood-worker and these types of videos are helping me save a lot of money and headaches as I get started. Thanks!
Great videos. Good to see that there are other choices for tools but the problem I have with the Banggood tools that have scales on them is that they don't seem to have imperial measurements only. Some have both metric and imperial but I never use metric. Would love to see them sell tools with imperial markings.
Before purchasing cheap Chinese goods just consider the effect they are having on our own industries. How does China manage to send us stuff with a total cost of less than it would cost to post in the UK?
Another excellent review, Dennis! I have the Woodpeckers corner squares, but would have gladly purchased the Banggood version had they been available a year ago...and had I known about Banggood. I wonder if Woodpeckers gave you the one thumb down. :-)
@@hanskutube Hans, there's nothing wrong with them, and I have lots of Woodpeckers tools. The set of eight Woodpeckers 170mm clamps cost US$ 410, plus the extra cost of shipping. Compared with a set of the eight Banggood 140mm clamps for US$ 166, and free shipping, the choice is easy. :-) The Woodpeckers clamps are great and I've used them on every drawer and cabinet project in the past year. At the time, they were available and I couldn't find any suitable alternatives. However, all things being equal now, I would prefer to spend less than half on the Banggood clamps.
@@Mike--K I am sure woodpeckers could sell a lot cheaper if they closed up manufacturing in the U.S. and moved their operations to China. Maybe pay extra to keep people on this side of the Pacific employed in good paying manufacturing jobs.

What is difference between Veiko, Drillpro and Enjoywood corner square clamps? They look the same but cost 2x as much.
They are all the same company under different badges. Much like Hotpoint, Whirlpool, AEG etc.
Would you be so kind to mention what batteries (in detail) are needed for the mini digital protractor. It was not included and it is not mentioned on the instructions. I bought the metallic magnetic mini version with only one battery.
Thanks for your video buddy... gotta lot of info
I can not find in the USA the hold down clamps with pegs you use on your video. Do you have a link where I can find them?
Please look at my site. hookedonwood.online/Frequently-asked-questions/ There you can find the link. Thanks
Are these tools available on Amazon? I can't use my (U.S. based) bank card internationally.
I do not know. Sorry
I agree. More products are metric. I found a few that also have imperial, but that is not much.
Before purchasing cheap Chinese goods just consider the effect they are having on our own industries.
How does China manage to send us stuff with a total cost of less than it would cost to post in the UK?
Denis, would you recommend the veiko or drill Pro version of this corner square?
They are the same. I would buy the best offer.
Another excellent review, Dennis! I have the Woodpeckers corner squares, but would have gladly purchased the Banggood version had they been available a year ago...and had I known about Banggood. I wonder if Woodpeckers gave you the one thumb down. :-)
What’s wrong with your Woodpecker product?
@@hanskutube Hans, there's nothing wrong with them, and I have lots of Woodpeckers tools. The set of eight Woodpeckers 170mm clamps cost US$ 410, plus the extra cost of shipping. Compared with a set of the eight Banggood 140mm clamps for US$ 166, and free shipping, the choice is easy. :-)
The Woodpeckers clamps are great and I've used them on every drawer and cabinet project in the past year.
@@hanskutube I live in Europe and don't mind paying for quality where it matters. I'm satisfied with the purchase decisions I made at the time, but if I was doing it again, I would buy the Banggood corner squares with no regrets.
@@simeonadams6065 If your reply was directed to me, then surely you noticed I live in Europe and don't play a part in any U.S.-China war. I am quite comfortable with my purchase decisions and my fate.
question. i work in my carport and the concrete is sloped for water runoff about 3 inches over the course of 25ft. this means my workbench is flat but not level. can i still use a digital level meter?
You can zero the level meter at any point. From that point it measures the relative angles.
great review, maybe ask suscribers which chinese tool they would like you to review?
Thanks a lot for the codes, I ordered some things I had on my list for longer … ;-) TOP channel!!
Damn you Dennis everytime I come onto your channel it costs me money lol. really glad you are doing these tests. I guess my Xmas presents are all coming from China
😂😂
I am looking for an accurate 30 60 90 square is there one that you have tested or can you test one?
90 degree I did, but the other I am not familiar of, if they have it.
Great video again some interesting kit
Thank you for these videos. This is incredibly helpful. New Sub here
Great review video, but my wallet hates you now. Thanks for all the links, congrats on the anniversary!
Sorry Scott 😂
which is better for woodworking tools////banggood or ali express????
Hello Dennis, thank you for your videos about affordable tools... I checked the links in the description, but a lot of them are offline (mdf, bessey, etc)... I suggest you to check them :) ... Thank you again...
Great video! Can you share a reasonably priced fence that works with the mitre gauge?
You can make one yourself. Watch episode 11. I made one.
Hi could you share where you bought the bench dog clamp @1.52 on the video? Does it come in both 19 and 20mm bench dogs?
Here you go. www.axminstertools.com/eu/axminster-trade-clamps-screw-thread-hold-down-clamp-104459
@@HookedonWood Many thanks!
Great videos. To the point and straight up opinions. If its bad you say so. I have ordered many things after watching your videos and have been quite satisfied. Soon I will need to order a new workshop to keep my gear in.
😀😀
Nice info, keep it up, thanks :)
Hi! Thanks for great videos and tips! Get so inspired! Would really like to view the China tools EP1 for the demo of the groove measurement tool but can not find EP1. Am I blind or has it been removed? Thanks in advance!
Aren't they available from Amazon?
Denis, You are ruining my family finances with your reviews, I want to buy everything
Sorry Lucas, on the long term I hope I safe you some 😀
Do you have some kind of show or list on banggood ? think I want to put everything in my wishlist hahaha
