    Getting over 1040mb both up and down. Ping 2 ms. Really friendly service, installation very smooth. The Arris router is great, wireless never loses signal.

    Try the FritzBox 5690 Pro it has a 2,5Gbit LAN Port and you can plug the Fiber Cable directly into the Router but you need a 2,5Gbit LAN Pcie Card for your PC i think you can get over a 1000 with that in both directions greetings from Germany 😊

    hey mate, are you paying for the youmesh thingy to have better coverage throughout the house? i'm wondering if the router sends a strong signal without the need of the mesh thingy

      No, the wifi is a little bit weaker than virgin media's hub 4 , but I've never had a problem. And if I did ied get a wifi access point ans wire a lan cable to it for better performance

    Would you say that you're satisfied with your switch a month later?

    Hi mate, did they install an external box on the outside wall along with that one that's on your wall? Or did they run it up beside the existing Openreach/BT fibre line? Was there any digging involved at all?

    • @RichMantaray
      @RichMantaray  3 месяца назад +1

      no digging and the ran a fibre line from post along singe the bt copper wire

    @leewil5173 7 месяцев назад +1

    Did you say they use Bt lines to connect it. I spoke to someone from youFibre and they said it’s below ground so I assumed the same as virgin is connected

    • @RichMantaray
      @RichMantaray  7 месяцев назад

      Nope dedicated fibre line from the BT post ,,,, i imagine it does go under ground at some point

      Depends if your line to your house comes from a pole or underground, they will probably just use the a new line in the same duct as the bt one. Ours used the bt line to tie to from the pole

      They don’t use BT lines, but the existing open reach (BT) underground ducts, save having to dig anymore. Own network, own fibre👍

      Occasionally overhead lines also. Same scenario, BT infrastructure, Netomnia FIbre

    im so confused the speeds were amazing on wifi for first 1 or 2 weeks with 400 download and 200 ish upload but since then my speeds have been way slower and inconsistent with horrible ping wtf happened

    • @RichMantaray
      @RichMantaray  4 месяца назад

      first things first ,,,,WiFi is not internet :) , u never measure your internet over wifi ,,,,,, plug a lan cable in to a PC and run a speed test

      @@RichMantarayi would if i could but atm dont have eithernet cable so i have to deal with wifi at the minute.
      still dont know why the speeds dropped so much after that time period though. i would say because my house is garbage with the walls or whatever but doesent explain how i was getting 400 now only 30 to 120 depending on how lucky i am
