It’s the open-hearted “who’s to say” vibe for me and, yes please! I love all your vids but making new art inspired by stuff you made as a kiddo or grade school is just special cause we’re in such a different mindset.
Drawing your old drawings in your present drawing style creating a completely new drawing... that's gotta be the art equivalent of breaking the 4th wall 😂😂
this was so cuuute I dunno if it would be fun for you as an exercise, but it would be hella satisfying to see your current take on that one with the sunset and mountains - since I could imagine you matching the colour palette and layout quite closely and it would be so fun to see the big differences in execution
The rain was so perfect! sweet rain. But I'm so obsessed with the way you paint and your thought process of it all. Never thought I'd be in love with a moose painting. (✿ ♡‿♡)💛
I really liked the rain noises. I would be really excited to see you recreate something from your teenage years! I loved the addition of the cute flowers too! :)
Yes to more videos like this one. And the one with testing cheap supplies. And yes to rest and relaxation. It felt nice to hear that while painting you feel like the piece looks weird and not as nice as how you picture it until you get to the final stages because lately I've been thinking the same about every piece of work I made and I didn't know how to feel about it :))
Blessed to have this uploaded as I’m bumming about the internet trying to find something work alongside. But also, your dress!! I envy your entire wardrobe! Seeing your super colourful frocks inspired me to buy my first Gorman dress the other day, it is so obnoxiously colourful - I’m in love with it. Have you ever thought of reaching out to clothing brands to see if they’d like to collaborate? I know you’ve created some denim jackets and jeans, but have you ever thought about printed fabrics?
I would love to do a little capsule collection for an established brand one day but we've never reached out to anyone and it isn't at the top of my wishlist! If the opportunity arose I would definitely consider it!!! Enjoy your work hehe!!!! P.S The dress is by DIY daisy!! She has a book coming out where she explains how to make her dresses!!!
ooo - love your going through your art... that surreal one was done for your birthday colouring-in as an activity... you did that on a few birthdays... xxx
I love you all cute "it's kind of raining outside" and the flag in the window is like "OMG! what the hell is this? a tornado?!"😂😂😂😂 I loved seeing your childhood drawings! So cute! 😍😍 Is so nice to seeing that you also change your mind a lot during the process! (I always think that if I don't get it right the first time I'm a failure)😂😂😂 love the video ❤️🥰
I looooved seeing your childhood art and watching your current process in recreating the cute moose!! Soooo cute! P.s. your outfits and hair are soooo pretty and stylish!
Once as a kid I was told by the guidance counsellor to draw a tree. And, y'know, I draw what I see from cartoons which is that there's sometimes a little hole in the middle where the birds like to put nests in or where the squirrels live. So my tree had a hole in the middle too. And the counselor was like, "do you feel empty inside". Well, not until you mentioned it, sis.
Your videos are like creative therapy! ☺️ Love them. Thanks for sharing with us. (Also I was thinking of Rocky and Bullwinkle the entire time! Anyone else?)
I love all your videos!!! you give off such happy vibes :) you should recreate the weird animals or the camel and cactus if you make another video of these!
Love this video! I’ve just started doing something similar to this. Using the crafts I make with my toddler as inspo for surrealist paintings. It’s really fun!
I lovedddd this video! However I was so concerned throughout watching you paint, thinking that you had forgotten about the little sun! So glad you got to it in the end! 🌞 Would love to see you create another childhood drawing like this one.
this kind of video literally helps so much in learning skills, techniques, thought processes on how to brainstorm or get ideas and be creative that you don't even realize how helpful it is!!!! so more more more more!!!!! Pwese
I think the one with all the birds was meant to be a park? My cousins and I once were chased by a hoard of ducks at the park, so ducks plus crying kid made total sense to me haha. I think you would draw some real cute birds!
Absolutely love this content. A little cheeky peek at your younger self and then following your creative process ; and if you're enjoying yourself that just makes it even more special!
Such a fun idea! This video was very relaxing and also made me think that if you taught online classes I would sign up for that in an instant! Thank you so much for sharing your process and tips so openly on this platform!
This was so nice to watch as I had my breakfast and morning cup of tea! And I would absolutely to see more of this style of video, it's so fascinating to see an older artwork be re-created (and its EVEN better if you enjoy making this type of video too!) Thanks for sharing!
This was so much fun Sha’an! I’m sure we could learn a bunch about creating freely by recreating work in this way. Once you know it’s hard to unknow and unlearn all those adult/ academic judgements that get in the way of pure creativity! Like you, I absolutely have to lay down a Copic underpainting before committing to pencils. I think it’s a bit of a gift to everyone who wants to look up close at all those tiny textures! Mel x
It turned out so good! My mum dug out some of my old art recently, I used to draw a lot of comics about my dogs and my family keeps telling me to recreate them - after watching this it’s definitely inspired me to give it a go! :)
This gave my chilhood Rocky and Bowinkles vibez. I loved it so much. You art style was simple yet complex, thers a lot to look at why still being easy on the eyes. And the rain was an added lofi type pleasure. Thank you for sharing.
have you seen the movie stepmom? totally reminded me of it when you made "sploosh" sounds as you were adding accents on the clouds ^~^ also, it's fascinating to see and hear your process!
hello sweet things! sorry for only posting here a couple of times a month - come find me on ig and tiktok where I upload more often!
It’s the open-hearted “who’s to say” vibe for me and, yes please! I love all your vids but making new art inspired by stuff you made as a kiddo or grade school is just special cause we’re in such a different mindset.
loved watching this while I packed patreon rewards, shout out to the rain for the vibes ;-)
MWAH MWAH
I actually love the rain noise in the bg, it makes me feel relaxed while drawing along with you 🥺♥️ thank you for this Sha’an
I swear I used to also draw little "inventions" that would feed pets and take care of them when I was a kid ! hahaha
me too!! And my son as well..but then machines who build cars. Whole factories on paper XD
Musicless painting vids with RAIN 😫 the best
Drawing your old drawings in your present drawing style creating a completely new drawing... that's gotta be the art equivalent of breaking the 4th wall 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
This was a JOY to watch! It makes me want to try too
DO IT!!!
OMG HEALTHY HAROLD IS AN ICON
I’d love more of these videos! Perhaps you could try the reverse a couple times to “loosen up”- draw a current painting in your childhood style.
this was so cuuute
I dunno if it would be fun for you as an exercise, but it would be hella satisfying to see your current take on that one with the sunset and mountains - since I could imagine you matching the colour palette and layout quite closely and it would be so fun to see the big differences in execution
Ooooo I like that idea!
I personally ❤ADORE❤ redraw childhood/past art videos like this because they're so mindless and satisfying! I definitely would love to see more!
Your Mom is amazing. She keeps all of your kid artwork. She is always proud of you . ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The texture of the bushes !!!!!!
The rain was so perfect! sweet rain. But I'm so obsessed with the way you paint and your thought process of it all. Never thought I'd be in love with a moose painting. (✿ ♡‿♡)💛
Such a joy. You made me giggle, especially when you threw a little cockney accent in there. The little flower being munched was such a lovely detail.
I really liked the rain noises. I would be really excited to see you recreate something from your teenage years!
I loved the addition of the cute flowers too! :)
Please do more of these! It’s so nice to do my own work while listening/watching more real-time footage.
You can safely mix acrylic inks with acrylic gouache, it's all good :)
PLEASE do more videos in this style! I loved the long format, hearing you hum while you draw, seeing your thought process... my favorite so far!
Oh the haunted things we find in the stuff our parents saved... Gorgeous video, a lovely way to start a Thursday
The hotel on fire drawing!! So DISTURBING!!!! Yay! Thank you Lizey
ahhh!! ive been so meh lately and def needed ur ✨sunshine presence✨ in my life! ☀️
aw you're too cute! Sorry about the audio! I turned up the mic too much!
Loved it! Like when you and Rocket drew cartoon faves from memory.
love the sound of rain
The one with all the Animals has you standing behind them with a sign that says "Awwww".
Yes to more videos like this one. And the one with testing cheap supplies. And yes to rest and relaxation. Also, I think the topsy-turvy artwork would be so cool to see in your style now - something different!
I’m liking the format of no music playing while you’re painting. Love seeing behind the scenes of your process 💕
also! SO SORRY ABOUT THE AUDIO - it was turned up too much AND I am loud. HELP
I’d love to see more of these🧡
I loved watching the process of you adding the flowers! I never would have expected that.
I love the rain sound :)
The trip to McDonald's for holiday took me OUT 😂 kids are soooo precious, lol.
i adore these kinds of videos. I saw a different side of you and your art process and I’m obsessed. Ily

This video feels like a mixture between a free skillshare class and watching bob ross videos, i love it!
ooo - love your going through your art... that surreal one was done for your birthday colouring-in as an activity... you did that on a few birthdays... xxx
I love you all cute "it's kind of raining outside" and the flag in the window is like "OMG! what the hell is this? a tornado?!"😂😂😂😂

This was so relaxing I worked on my art project while watching being inspired at the same time!!
Haven't laughed like this in a while. I feel like we all draw super chaotic things when we're younger lol. Thanks
