“Ace of Spades” (Motörhead) 1920s Jazz Cover by Robyn Adele Anderson This video was done live, using one take.
This is the most unique rendition of Ace of Spades I’ve ever heard. Lemmy would absolutely dig this song and approve of her style. It takes real talent to turn a Metal song into a Night Club style gig and make the song sound classy and entertaining. Bravo to you
When a song is so great that it doesn't matter in what style is played and still sounds awesome.
Awesome, never heard the words to this song so clearly before. Rest in peace Lemmy.
This is the Motörhead's pajamas. 👏👏
I'm big Lemmy and Motorhead fan and I must say what a cool version! Excellent and original, thanks, 👍👍👍👊✌️🇬🇧.
Ace of Spades has been one of the anthems of my life for 40 years with Lemmy and Motorhead. But I loved it. I even got emotional.
Lemmy would smile.
As both a trombone player and Motörhead fan, I’m speechless with joy!👍🏼
Lemmy would love this! Ms. Anderson is lovely, as always. I especially like how her coquettish smiles and eye movements enhance the 1920s feeling of the song and video.
So would I
Spot on. It’s the eyes
I know the late members of Motorhead would be looking down from the clouds and smiling about this! Fantastic Job, Robyn! Just Awesome! 👍👍👍
Once again, you show the range of your talents. Thank you.
I am a big time Motorhead fan and I absolutely love this thank you
I'm also a massive Motorhead fan, and I really hate it,,,
@@roblincoln8339 Most Motorhead fans now love jazz 🤣🙃
@@NightShooter87 Err, yeah not so much 😅
As a Motorhead fan......this is just superb. Incredibly fresh and very good indeed. Weldone.
So sad, Lemmy couldn't hear this...
Really hard to headbang to, but it is fantastic. I'm most certainly sure Lemmy would approve.
ease off your neck a little and swing ;)
Didn't stop me! I still thrashed while blasting this!
Hey! This version is for legs shaking! Don't you know?)
@@THE-rk3hx What? I shaked my booty instead! Guess I did it wrong then...
all is wrong unless ya have a jack an coke in yer hands :)
Holy moly, this is good 👍 I can see Lemmy sitting by a table smiling approvingly with a bottle of Jack and Coke and a Marlboro in the corner of his mouth 😉
Yeah, that's how he picture him too. 😎
♠️🥺❤️
My thoughts exactly!
@cameltoejoe what's the problem Joe? Never heard of Lemmy/Motorhead?
Lemmy smiles at her 👍👍
I love it when musicians take an iconic piece of music like this and change it completely, yet it's still as good as the original, well done !
This shows Respect for the great Work of Lemmy with Hawkwind and Motorhead!!
I love these vintage style covers.
I never though one day i'll be headbanging on jazz music. Awesome !
Robyn and the band is always at the table
I got goosebumps. And I bought the friggin MH album when it came out. Excellent cover!
Thank
You
For
Your
Service
Pretty nice tribute, and a clear proof of the undeniable swing Motörhead had back in the days. Love it!
ROFL!! This is GREAT!!! If only our grandparents were still around, we could finally "trick" them into listening to "Motörhead"!
The cover I didn't know I needed!! Amazing arrangement!
🤟 Motörhead rocks! in any style! A wonderful arrangement!
This swings as hard as it rocks! DAMN!!!
lemmy would get a kick out of this. love your videos
I’ve seen this covered in a variety of styles (two ukulele versions, torch song, rockabilly etc) and it works in all of them. Surely the mark of a great song…
Absolutely fantastic. I have every Motörhead record and I think this amazing. I also loved the old kronenberg commercial the boys did as well.
Sweet cover. Demonstrates just how good this song actually was.
This is the comment I wanted to see. They did a great job on a great song. As usual
Absolutely!
Is!
100%!!! A very very solid song - it would have been a hit in any genre in any era!
Yes! Excellent point.
Absolutely perfect and light jazz version! Thanks Lemmy for your talent and music!
R.I.P.
I played this out of sheer curiosity, expecting it to be ghastly, but this really works! Well done to the band and singer. I enjoyed it more than I wanted to. There's definitely an album of jazzified metal classics in this band. I'm way too Metal to follow you, but if I stumble across any more of your tunes I'll give it a listen!
Absolutely Fantastic
The summer of 1973 was fantastic, I don't remember anything, but I'll never forget it."
Fckn Awesome.... you are so 🔥🔥🔥thx for the 😁Motorhead ...and Lemy lives on😎🌞🤟👊
Even though I've seen you pull off surprising arrangements left and right, I was still skeptical for this one. I will never doubt again! It absolutely rocked (jazzed?)!
Lemmy is smiling from heaven (or hell because he is probably the boss in both realms now :)
Brilliant job !
Oh man Lemmy would have LOVED this. *I* love this. Thank you!
I’m a huge Motörhead fan. This is cover absolutely BRILLIANT!!!!
Super vocals, super band. I spoke to Lemmy this morning and he do like you.
Great Song and Fresh interpretation to vary a little. Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed...Congratulations!!!
This song is unique in its impact on popular culture . And this is ace 🤗🤘
Really like the arrangement on this; especially the horns!
Thanks so much! 🖤
Lemmy would love this! So do I :))
Its amazing how much interpretation can be put into a song.
Absolutely Brilliant Lemmy would luv this.
Great, Robyn.👏👏👏👏👏🌞👍
Just bursting with cool.
I am in love after only 12 seconds. Little Robyn fly to me 🥰
This is my favorite Motor Head song, and you killed it ! Great job Robyn 👍 😍🔥😍🤘
Well 23 Skidoo! That was rather brilliant!
This is just Brilliant.
More!
Great version of a great song
This is so much better than I expected
Absolutely speechless
Go Robyn - knocked that out the ball park 👍🏻
Surprisingly enjoyable. Who would have thought?
Love it.
Beautyfull tribute to Lemmy and Motorhead.
Exelent vídeo sis ❤️.
It works! The lyrics have a blues theme, which helps a lot.
the Arrangement is perfect
A song passes in to immortality when others do their own version of it.
Ya made me smile and grin all through the rendition, thanks for the fun👍😃
Lemmy is smiling from heaven hearing this
My gosh ♥️♥️♥️!!! As a rocker 🎸 I A-D-O-R-E 🤗🤗🤗!!! Well done, Lady Anderson 👏👏👏!!!
Tops!
Well done to Robyn and these great musicians?
Incedribly awesome!
Nice! Mötörhead is still bringing musical styles together across the board. The fusion of the Metal, Punk, and Heavy Blues fan bases Lemmy’s musical vision brought together influenced the next evolutions and outright creation of musical styles. You really get to appreciate the depth of this songs composition in your version! I’m going to subscribe and see what other gems you may have on the channel.👍🤘
@@creamwobbly Totally, and the common ground here is the great communicator, the blues.
This man speaks of the truth. I remember when I bought my first Motörhead album in the 70's and dad said... There is blues in that.
Very good Version..fantastic. Lemmy its happy
Man, it almost feels illegal how well this works!
Super Beauty!!! LOVE!!! Jazz!! Thank You!!! Val
Probably Lemmy would be grateful !! Very good job.
Lifelong Motorheadbanger. Loved this.
Brilliant!! ❤❤❤👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤
Blimey. This is good. I recently did this song for a fringe theatre show but on solo flute. The song has many possibilities. Thanks this is a treasure
I saw this and thought "OMG, not possible! No way, no how!" Clicked on it and "Wow, totally possible! And awesome!" Great arrangement with the horns and keyboard while still keeping it 'lean' like Motorhead always did. I would have liked a little more bass in the mix, but you're taking it into the realm of 1920s jazz music so understandable. Cheers.
Genius. Great cover.
Brilliant! And nice to see Jason Stratham on the drums. LOL
Nailed it perfectly! Humbly bowing to your magnificence!
You make the world a better place.
This is the most interesting way to listen to this song. I'm not the biggest Motorhead fan, but you did justice!
Yeah love it
Lemmy would be giving you a thumbs up 👍
So am I 👍
Fabulous!
Perfect!!!!!!!
I need this on New Vegas
You are brilliant
I love seeing all the best and HEAVIEST metal being covered in these other genres and styles, cos it finally PROVES to all those haters back in the day, who said metal was "just a bunch of noise", that in fact : NO, it was NOT noise, it was (and still IS) actually GOOD and REAL MUSIC... If it were "just noise", there's no way professional and classically-trained musicians could begin to work with it.
Swingbanging, perhaps?
Badass cover!! 🤘🤘
The _instant_ before this popped up in my recommendations, I had just watched/listened-to the full slow version of this track from Lemmy. Then this! My mind is broken now.
You know it's a great song when it can be reinvented like this! Motörhead for life ♠️
I Love this Song.. Ace of Spades in a Jazz version, it's amazing
First time viewer. Subscribed with bells! F'n awesome!
Brilliant!! 😎
oh yesssssssssssssssssssssss thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was brilliant !
Marvelous 😍
Absolutely STUNNING ♥️
Beautiful! !!!
hahahaha this is pure genius. great job 👍
Next poker-related movie set in the '20s needs this as a montage song for the big game.
Really enjoyed the horn section! And of course, the vocals were marvelous! Sadly, Joe’s Pub is 3000 miles from me.🙁
