Hello from Ukraine! I'm amazed how one person can do so much hard work! You inspire me! Привет из Украины! Я поражен как один человек может проделать столько тяжелой работы! Вы меня вдохновляете!
Welding close to plastic caplugs. Have you ever looked up 3M 3361 stainless steel tape to use as a secondary cover on a few positions. Not cheap at 20 bucks for a 1"×9 ' roll but when you only need a few inches to save hours of clean up. I would also think a bunch of water jet cut discs and a few minutes each in a lathe would work great in the long run. Since are a welder . Perhaps you could get tech friends to cut off the ends of junk hoses to fill with silicone to make plugs. It's just a thought .
I’m going to have a guess and ask,is that Hobart XL 525 that you’re burning into the job? I love the stuff, one setting and any position. Job done very well.
Really like this kind of stuff. Don't care much for dealing with hoses. Super job on that fuel leak, had me scared and I am fearless. I'm sure this channel will grow fast, less than 200 when i subscribed, maybe 2 weeks later 309. This is a lot like I C Weld. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just stumbled on your channel and I'm going to need to talk to the owner about rigging our service truck up with some better gear! We have a miller suitcase but it's running plain old fluxcore so for most field work I use 7018 but on some gigs especially in the Arizona sun I'd much rather burn some dual shield in and be out like trout. I used to run allot of that in structural
Believe it or not there are still guys who believe 7018 is faster than dual shield. Time is money get it done and get on to the next job that’s my way of thinking.
I do enjoy your work on the CAT Equipment. I worked at the Decatur, IL plant 33 yrs. Decatur began building motor graders in 1955, off-highway trucks in 68 and tractor scrapers in the 60's also. They now build trucks 769-----797's, the scraper line 620's---650's, and 4 yrs back they took on some of the wheel loaders/compactors. 970---988's. Motor graders were moved to Little Rock, Arkansas in the 90's. They have a work force of approx 3800+/-. housed in some 2.8mil sq feet.
really great how you go the extra mile and blend those welds in, even filling any craters......most weldors I know would not do that and wonder why I do it.......Bravo, Paul
Well the you tube algorithm must be having a field day .. I'm getting a lot of these videos at a year or more in age . Not that I'm worried I'm enjoying watching them . I guess the way you get rid of the cracks are to grind them out till they either burst through the other side or the crack actually disappears then plate and reweld till the crack has been filled . A very time consuming task made even more interesting by some of the locations and the lack of accessibility. Thanks for sharing
Always so many things to work around. Stellar job as always! I'm still watching old videos. Hope to catch up and watch some new ones soon. Thomas, Mississippi!
Those cleaner teeth take a beating when a well lodged rock comes around. I made a set for a wedge foot where several were wiped out by mis aligned drum I believe. Made a thicker set and more weld and they took it. At some point we put in a 3 inch diameter axle. Turned out to be a good packer
you do such nice work , you make it look easy , i know its not , i would really like to know where you learned to fix all the different types of equipment you do and how many years you spent to learn all the fixs , i know a professional welder and fabricator and hes good , but your on another level , thank you so much for bringing us along with you
The wheel cleaner seems poorly designed to me. Both cleaners should be at the top of the wheel. At an angle so that the dirt in the sample is not crushed by the cleaner, but thrown out of the sample. Do not attach the individual cleaning mandrels to the holder, but to the pin. Tiltable for reverse direction of movement.
I love to weld Nothing this big in in your videos I do miss welding This is blanket message cause ive been binge watching your videos I am enjoying all the aspects of your videos as they are peaceful and calming Continue the good work
Like the way you fix the cracks some people thinks that you can just wield the cracks and that's it but digging them out like you did is the right way great job 👍
Спору нет делаете все хорошо, и на совесть, но метал это дело такое, я думаю эти трещины не спроста, и как бы тебе думаю будет рвать метал рядом со сваркой, потому как он ослаблен!
you have the timing of how much detail to show us and really good camera angles. For being uncomfortable climbing in the dirt, diesel etc you keep it upbeat dealing with us over your shoulder. Lol you look like you would be gruffy to us, but bring us along up close and personal. Thanks for all your time setting up cams, editing even after long days and into the nights.
Im a mechanic for a construction company in East Tennessee. I would really like to own my own business like you are doin. What tips would you give in order to start my own like yours, i have quite a few years experience welding heavy fab before becoming a mechanic
I would make sure you have work lined up. And I would try to have a truck and as many tools as possible before you make the jump. If you are good then you will have no issues finding work. Be honest with your customers. And always take care of your “main” customers.
I always wondered why are things like cleaning teeth holders and sacrificial caps, welded only from 2 sides. But it makes sense now, especially when repair needs to be done at the spot, and not inside comfy shop ;)

Glory to Ukraine.
Wow that dirt was packed in the wheel so much it actually made the wheel stop. Thats crazy ha
I know diesel doesn't usually explode, but still, i was standing a distance back from my tv while you welded up the fuel tank. 🤣

Случайно попалось видео, но смотрел все до конца. На совесть мужик работает, как надо!!! Огромный респект!!!
Hello from California
@@donsmith9081 и вам привет из 🇷🇺
With the cost of diesel I'm surprised they didn't want the tank done first.
Making it look ridiculously easy, as always. Great work boss.
I’m going to have a guess and ask,is that Hobart XL 525 that you’re burning into the job?
I love the stuff, one setting and any position.
Job done very well.
I’m running Lincoln 71A75. 1/16”. It’s the best running dual shield I have tried.
That music is awful. Lots better with no music so I can concentrate on what you’re doing.
Really like this kind of stuff. Don't care much for dealing with hoses. Super job on that fuel leak, had me scared and I am fearless.

Thank you. I watch a lot of other channels including IC Weld and thought I could do it too.
@@OFW YEP! You're killing it!

I take it that they don't like there machines repairs to show.
Funny, I didn't remember watching this but clearly I did. Still good work!@!!!!!!!
Nice work. I'm suprise you don't watch Issac at IC weld.
Or cutting edge engineering.
They’re on the other side of the equator and thoroughly know what they are doing..
I do watch IC weld and CEE
Complete reflection on the owners....kills me people let compactors go like that....shit show
It’s just job security lol.
I also had to wear ear defenders because of your music level I nearly subscribed but sorry music not my thing
I understand the music is an issue. I can’t fix it after the video has been posted. All new videos have no music.
@@OFW Ok just watched the upload where you said about it my bad. Love what you do I will sub stay safe.
I know very little about welding and I'm amazed how you can weld on leaking diesel fuel.
заварил красиво..., но ! сверху для прочности надо наложить *шину*, привет из Сибири !
just watched the 815 retread episode, cool to see what you did before, cheers from Orlando, FL, Paul
Imagine grinding that crack with grinder😵😵😵😵 air arc is the best💪💪💪💪💪💪
When you have to clean it off is it the same price per hour as when you are wielding.
Customer made you clean all this dirt? Not cool. You are a welder not some cheap laborer.
This looks like a fun job! Always wondered about those rollers
really great how you go the extra mile and blend those welds in, even filling any craters......most weldors I know would not do that and wonder why I do it.......Bravo, Paul
That grinding is a mixed thing for me Grind the cap and loose strength or leave all those undercut spot yeah I don't know don't undercut
Fuel tank had to be challenging? Nice work
Yo. Are you simply using Lincoln 140 mig welder type ? Just checking thank you
No I am not.
You missed a spot on the first one; spraying I mean.
I absolutely hate these compactors
those Chinese just can’t keep up with the parts
Great example of steel dentistry
Hey Doctor Scraper !
The way you operate on these cracks made me think of a dentist on a broken tooth ah ah !
Clean and precise, Good job !
My new favorite channel!!

Working around fuel is a no go for me.😮

Do you charge for having to clean before you can work on equipment
Just my hourly rate for all my time invested.

You should think about wearing breathing protection when welding and cutting
That’ll the last time those scrapers are adjusted until they break, the next time.
Is that a flux cored welder. Or mig
There is both in this video

Superb repair skill young man, superb!
Assume welding ,great work
Good job cleaning up bad maintenance.
Lovly service truck
I am so glad I don't work on equipment.
Do you ever use your hypertherm for gouging instead of air arc? I use the hell out of our hypertherm to gouge.
Yes all the time.
looking forward to a rig tour
