    Hello everyone!
    Thank you so much for watching this play through!
    Please leave a like and a comment, to let us know what you think about the video and the game, it makes us super happy!
    If this format of watching us play a game for the first time is interesting, please let us know, and we might do more of them!
    Also, we are still very new to making these play throughs, but we are feeling that the upgrade in quality due to new cameras is very helpful, and making the videos better!
    Please let us know what you think about these new play throughs, as the plan is to do more and more play throughs, and less other videos, if people seem to like them! They are more work, but also way more fun to make!
    We appreciate every one of you!

    You two are great. You're both masterful at these tough games. Not something that many can drop on a table and push through so completely.

      Hehe, thank you! We do play quite a few games, but this was also pretty easy to get into! A lot easier than many other heavy games, that we use many rounds to understand the ins and outs! Glad you liked it 😁

    This is my favourite of your videos so far. The way you have set it up makes it more immersive for us the viewer, we can see what’s going on very well. Your enjoyment is infectious, Papyrus!

      Wow, thank you! That means a lot! We finally have a setup I am almost happy with! Would love a taller setup for overhead, and a bigger table, but most games will fit for 2 players in the normal frame! Thanks for taking time to comment, that means so much!

    I realized at the end of the video that you had not taken any starting Decrees. :) During setup, each player is dealt 2 Decrees, picks one of them, discarding the other. That gives you a little bit more to aim for as well.

    • @BoardGamingRamblings
      @BoardGamingRamblings  4 года назад

      That is correct! Glad we didn’t do many mistakes! I saw this, then thought the rules to Sunniva before doing setup, and forgot! Will make sure to remember the next time, as that is a great way to have something to shoot for at the start of the day!

    Watching you play this almost straight out of the box was fun, with first impressions during the game. Kudos for fitting it all on such small table... and I just noticed, that the setup you are using improved soo much from the first "lockdown" playthroughs... keep it up.
    Also, for anybody watching this later, do try a drinking game - you drink everytime when Sunniva says "papyrus".

    Very nice video! Great to hear your thoughts while you're playing.
    I think that around 39', when Sunniva takes the pillar action, you forget 2 points above the 3/4 pillar.

    • @Kapharnaum92
      @Kapharnaum92 4 года назад

      Oh, and around 51', the 6 die Johannes took for his anubis action should have gone below the scales (not counting towards the balance)

    That was a pretty good first game. From the other plays I've seen from this game I had a feeling most of the points were made during intermediate scoring and end game scoring cards - and it felt a bit disconected from all the crunchy decision making process during the rounds. But this time I kinda saw the results of the actions taken during the turns adding up to the score. I saw many avenues strategy-wise that could be taken as well, I really want to try it out.
    We acquired it recently and it's on its way home, looking forward to it.

    thanks for the playthrough. seeing that you said this is best game of the year for you so far - would you say you like this more than arkwright the card game? also how does the 2p experience compare between the 2 games? thx!

    • @BoardGamingRamblings
      @BoardGamingRamblings  4 года назад

      Hey! Thank you :D Arkwright TCG is a 2021 release, so it will not be in the contest for best game of the year! With that said, as a 2 player experience, I would play Tekhenu all the time. The interaction is so important in Arkwright, so that sees so much improvement when you add more players!

      @@BoardGamingRamblings good job johannes/sunniva on this first type of video. You guys did amazing! if anything, I think the rules segment is not necessary (although I may be a minority on this). Unless you would "take the time" to go in a deeper way to explain those, I think it makes more sense to just jump straight to the goal of the game, and what players will try to do throughout, and as you play and take turns, briefly explain things. Regardless, it was great! looking forward to get my copy.

    • @BoardGamingRamblings
      @BoardGamingRamblings  4 года назад

      Nain1982 Thank you! So glad you liked it :D
      I feel like that is what I am trying to do, just explain briefly what you’ll do in the game, and then get to it! There are enough other people that do actual tutorials, so this is a much better way for us to do it. We want you to be able to follow along, but I don’t want you to use our videos as a rules video. For smaller games, like Glasgow, I could do most rules in 5 mins, then I don’t mind!

    • @Nain1982
      @Nain1982 4 года назад

      @@BoardGamingRamblings I agree. I was just adding that you probably don't even need to put that segment. Rules and playthroughs should be definitely separate things. It's impressive how people can watch 2-3 hours of those videos! To be clear, I liked your video.
