Rocky Mountain once again successfully reaches out to the motorized world , be it a back yard mechanic ,or even the best of pros. I've ridden my 2019 KTM 500 EXC-F 4000 miles to date , spent " bu ku bucks " upgrading and anything from the smallest of parts , tools and riding gear. I am a fan of the TUSK LINE UP, ROCKY IS MY GO TO for all my needs to keep me on the trails. I purchased the TUSK wheel alignment and balancing stand knowing it is one of the best stands out there for the price. I somehow successfully tried the 21" front , all torqued to spec using the TUSK TORQUE WRENCH. BUT , I'M SOMEHOW FACING A 4TH ATTEMPT AT TRUING THE REAR RIM. DAMN BACK YARD MECHANICS , AT 65 IM SUPPOSED TO BE ON MY RIDE NOT WORKING ON IT, LOL
One thing I learnt lately was eBay is flooded with fake yes fake NGK plugs so if it seems to cheap to be true it is. I brought two for my RM 250 bike ran terrible then I looked at the old plug and there was some difference in the finish and the stamping . Looked it up and yes it turns out I’d purchased two fake plugs for the price of one genuine plug.
When it sits on the cylinder head lid how much do you turn to tighten correctly. You should make a video on which plugs are interchangeable like a br9evx and a br8es are different numbers but u can use either for the same bike.
hello sir, ive just increased the compression on ktm300xc by i believe 20%, i.e. from approx 105psi to 120psi, standard plug i run was br7es, now this plug looks very dark, probably fouling, but is dry,not oily, and this observation was BEFORE i installed high comp head. i run high octane ethanol free fuel, do both trail/high speed riding. my question to you is what would be the appropriate heat range move? and/or use irridium plug, thank you, mike
"which is one the best spark plugs in for fuel efficiency, better acceleration and less vibration?" The factory recommended OEM plug as found in your owner's manual! The manufacturers have entire professional engineering divisions that work on optimizing every facet of engine design. We shouldn't try to out think them unless we know exactly what we're doing and change our bike for some specific purpose. That said, NGK makes a damned fine igniter.
Are they supposed to come pre gapped already. i orded the same oem spark plug. Ill just check to make sure and if it is then i guess they do. my 98kx125 says the gap is between 0.6-0.7 millimeters
Just curious my 04 rm 250 keeps fouling plugs I’ve gone from ridium plugs to just standard plugs played with jetting and quite a few other and it keeps fowling plugs ever 30 minutes
I just got to ride my brand new kx100, about half a hour in the bike bogs then later stalls. I never would’ve thought, but it’s the plug. Must be a bad plug Maybe defected from factory, because when I pulled that out she was like brand new. 0.7 hours on her and Alr one plug 😅
It more depends on your specific bike and what spark plug it calls for. I don't believe the Super 4's are the recommended plug for any dirt bikes or ATV's.
It looks like your bike most likely requires a CR6HSA spark plug but you will want to check online for your bike model and year specifically to be sure.
I ride a 2018 ktm 250 xc and I’ve been killing plugs recently, they are black/oily. Running 60:1, JD jet kit installed. Feels great to ride but the plugs only last about a day or two. Any suggestions??
Don’t have the 250 but I do own the yz125 and found the ngk 8 works best and never fouls out even when riden single track lugging it .... tried the ngk #9 and it fouls within 30 mins
The plugs are the same length I believe the BR8 is just a hotter plug and it showed a very lean condition I have replaced the plug with what the manufacturer recommends BR9 I was just concerned if there has been any damage to the motor that I am unaware of. The bike still runs great just not sure if there's any damage that could have occurred
I have a Kawasaki bayou 300 that keep making my plug black I only have the plug for a month I thing it has to do with the throttle throttle cable is broke. Just sitting on their and all I smell is gas plz help
We mention in the video that it is safer for your engine to be running a colder plug vs hotter, that way the plug will foul before any major damage happens to your motor. With racing situations it might be best to run something like an iridium spark plug. Hope this helps!
if its oil check piston and rings. check compression as well. you might have to do a top end on it. check the gap on the plug too and make sure you have the right plug for your bike and try a iridium plug
That answer will vary depending on what you have done to your bike but if it's basically stock, I would stick with the BR8EG that the factory calls for. Hope that helps!

Just curious my 04 rm 250 keeps fouling plugs I’ve gone from ridium plugs to just standard plugs played with jetting and quite a few other and it keeps fowling plugs ever 30 minutes

Excellent. Learned a lot.
is there anything needed to be done for higher elevation with spark plugs?
Why does my 2016 kx100 keep burning spark plugs
thanks for the upload i have learned from your video, thanks a lot.
Thank you
can i use bosch super 4 for my 2 stroke
It more depends on your specific bike and what spark plug it calls for. I don't believe the Super 4's are the recommended plug for any dirt bikes or ATV's.
My 2018 ktm 85 keeps fouling plugs even though I’m on the pipe the hole time and not letting it idle for to long
What kind of spark plug do i need to run on a 4 stroke honda dax 50cc?
It looks like your bike most likely requires a CR6HSA spark plug but you will want to check online for your bike model and year specifically to be sure.
Ok thanks and its a zhenhua from 2014

Turn the air screw out on your carburetor. 1/2 turn or a little bit more.
Ride harder
does a 4 electrode spark plug good for a motorcycle?
What is the best spark plug for a yz 250?

I accidentally ran a br8eix in my 2019 YZ125 I put about 10 hours on that plug the manual calls for a br9eix could this have caused any damage?
A spark plug that is too long can cause damage and too short can cause poor gas mileage and fowled plugs. I'd get the recommended plug in there asap.
The plugs are the same length I believe the BR8 is just a hotter plug and it showed a very lean condition I have replaced the plug with what the manufacturer recommends BR9 I was just concerned if there has been any damage to the motor that I am unaware of. Time stamp where/if he shows the
coil wire resistance. (what a typical
dirt bike coil wire should read in oms)
where is the spark plug located on atv
Its Located Near the Top of the Engine Near the Jug where the piston is Located it will have a Black Cord that looms like a tube covering it
Man, ATVs Don't have one !
This was great
I have a Kawasaki bayou 300 that keep making my plug black I only have the plug for a month I thing it has to do with the throttle throttle cable is broke. Just sitting on their and all I smell is gas plz help
Would it be better to run a hotter plug if i race?
We mention in the video that it is safer for your engine to be running a colder plug vs hotter, that way the plug will foul before any major damage happens to your motor. With racing situations it might be best to run something like an iridium spark plug. Hope this helps!
always thought hot and cold is based on the country weather you live in , so plug is changed when its foul , no lifespan on it ?
i dont know please someone help me i have oil on the spark all the time when i replacing it
if its oil check piston and rings. check compression as well. you might have to do a top end on it. check the gap on the plug too and make sure you have the right plug for your bike and try a iridium plug
How often do you foul plugs with a four stroke. Because they are a pain in the ass to change
i have honda cbf 150 I used ngk cpr8ea-9 endonesia Its very slow working And i used cheap spark plug delta force cp6e its very fast
awesome video, good stuff I know it does not change but a new vid would get you more views
funnu 2 strokes are not as wasy as you think i need a huge deep socket for mine
My 250 is acting like it dose not want to take gas it runs ok wide open but it misses at low throttle could this be the plug gap
You've most likely got a clogged pilot jet in the carb.
Hi my spark plug tip has been white I tried making it richer but it’s still white. Do I need a bigger main jet?
Colder plug... take current plug to auto parts store and ask for a colder one.... no joke
What if its gray and has metal chunks on it ? Lol
Drew L it means you need a rebuild I know your joking
Pl translate in hindi
its beter with glow plugs
What is the best spark plug for a yz 250 2 stroke?
That answer will vary depending on what you have done to your bike but if it's basically stock, I would stick with the BR8EG that the factory calls for.
Hope that helps!
@@rmatvmc do you know by chance what the best spark plug for a yz125 that the engine is almost completely stock
