Gorgeous! Enjoy the bag Kat! In 10 years you can send it to spa and it will look brand new. That’s the best part of owning an Hermes bag. I have the contance 18 too and the hw has several scratches, but I don’t worry as I plan to replace the hw in the next 5-10years .
Oh good point! I get so stressed about the scratches on the hardware lol but you’re totally right, we can send it to the spa and it’ll look brand new again!

I have gotten a box kelly..like you, I read up how to take care of it.. Tips I found include looking at weather forecast first before you use it, always bring a foldable bag so that you can use to hold your box bag when it rains. Enjoy your bag! =)

Got my B25 box leather from Pavilion boutique 4 months ago, I brought it out at least once a week since then and it’s doing okay. C18 is small and it’s always stay close to your body so it won’t hit others or object unawarely.
And even if something hits it (for example, your mirror), it wouldn’t be a scratch per se, it will be some kind of a mark which you can only see when you twist and turn your bag under the light at some angle. Scratched box leather is beautiful, it’s just less beautiful than the brand new one 😂

It's a stunning bag! I completely understand you having mixed feeling as you wanted to get a bag with platinum hardware. Different hardware colour comes and goes, and gold will always be the most classic! Embrace it :)
Congratulations on the beautiful bag! I have a couple of pairs of shoes in box, and it’s not bad! I have gotten clemance wet, too, and it didn’t blister. Don’t soak it in water or anything. Enjoy your bag!!

Yayyyy it’s beautiful!! I received a black box mini Kelly with PHW last year and felt exactly the same - for the first year I babied it soooo much and would never let my dog within one room radius of it 😂 Now I’m a little less fearful and bring it out for casual occasions too and it’s just perfect. So happy for your Constance ❤
It DEFINITELY scratches easily though. I always have short, trim nails too, but somehow a new small scratch shows up each time. But to be honest, no one can see and eventually you can just take it to the spa!
Oh Kat. Congrats. I literally ran my box leather Constance in rain 😂 it doesn’t do any harm to my bag. Of course you gotta wipe the rain away. Box leather is not that delicate from my experience. Have been using my Constance for over a year now. I don’t see any scratches. I put it once in a large carton box with other stuff in a work event. And moved the carton around. But I didn’t get any scratches. Scratches are much more visible on the H buckle instead of on the leather!!

Kat just watching you stress about the gorgeous new bag stressed me out. Let go! Enjoy it. Life is too short. Own it. Give it chatacter, dents, scratches. Don't always think the endgame is to resell. You will never enjoy anything that way. It's gorgeous. Mixing and matching color, style, metals is liberating. Don't thing too deep about it. It's a gorgeous bag that already has sentimental attachment to it. I've always thought you had a great Hermes SA. This is such a special send off. Beautiful bag Kat! I have the same one and in palladium hardware and out of all my bag I think it’s one of my favorite but also the one I’m the most terrified to use. Have it now for two year and only worn it once! To scared to touch it. Hopefully we will get the courage to take it out more. I have one in etoupe with phw now on my wish list.

I have this in phw! In the erratic Singapore weather I only ever carry it if it’s very hot and no chance of rain. I usually also have a small bag inside in case it rains so it’ll be covered. There are some light scratches which buffed out over time which is great! It’s definitely a high maintenance bag but the leather makes it so unique!

Congrats again Kat! Actually the bag looks better with the scratches and they blend into the bag over time . The used bag look makes it look more heritage. I haven’t used mine in rain but I’ve had AC water drop on it. As long as you wipe it away right away it should be okay. I keep a nano bag inside at all times in case it rains.

It’s so gorgeous! Box with gold will never go wrong and it ages beautifully with patina as compared to palladium. Scratches do get not obvious when the patina sets in. Do enjoy it and keep it away from water.

I think palladium would give it a more day time, casual look whilst the gold elevates it and gives it a more elegant feel. Guess it depends which look you want or when you would mostly carry the bag. You think too much about resale value, Kat! 😂 Just use this one and let it patina.
i have the same box leather constance. no problem with a little drizzle. scratches are fine really, the sheen of the box leather outshines it i feel. but i dont think it can be buffed out like lambskin, but ive heard the hermes spa does do a wonderful job for box (so i heard). i think the more obvious scratches is from the hardware... which seems to be a consistent complaint for constances... the strap ive noticed softens very quickly and i have yet to figure out how to store the straps properly :/

I have both gold and white gold jewellery and I mix when I wear them. The gold hardware looks very nice on the black Constance. Personally, I am not convinced that palladium hardware looks better on the bag. It looks more casual.

Wish I could speak to the box leather but unfortunately I have no experience. Probably easier said than done but just enjoy the bag! Any wear and tear will add to the character! (That’s what I always tell myself with my luxury pieces haha makes me feel better when it scratches.. 😉) 🩷🩷
White gold can mix with either yellow or rose gold. Because it's white, it will go with both. I dont mix yellow with rose gold though. I mostly have white gold. I personally think diamonds should be with white gold. Sets off the diamond better. Yellow gold will make rhe diamond look more yellow.

Bought a vintage version (29 years) of the same bag in same specs, and I am on whaouuu with it and impressed with how box leather ages. And I kid you not, was thinking of adding a C18 in black box/swift with PHW as well 😂

I got a constance 18 black with palladium hardware in evercolor leather. I still haven’t taken it out because the leather looks delicate to me compare to my chanel caviar. All my jewelry is gold but it’s not going to stop me when i’m ready to take it out 😂.
