I've never understood the point of designer sneakers. I don't see any foot scientists / orthopedic specialists on their r&d teams.

You don't buy designer sneakers (or any heels) for the orthopedic quality.
And they, Hermes, claim exclusivity as if they are on the cutting edge.
Yep, but then they get caught from time to time and try to keep it as hush hush as possible haha and settle out of court allegedly
It's refreshing to see a luxury RUclipsr being HONEST that big bucks doesn't always equate to the best quality, especially where wellbeing is concerned (in this case, physical, foot, posture, concerns, which could equate to pain or discomfort if you buy the wrong shoes).
I think Skechers have an 'old people shoe' stigma for some, but I like some of their plainer styles (without 'S' branding and in muted colours).
If you have conditions like plantar fascitis, Hoka shoes are good too (my partner was recommended a certain model by his podiatrist). I know someone who only wears Hokas as they're the only shoe that suit her requirements!

@@Terriwith2arfs and right before ‘etch a sketch’ was this clipboard 📋 like concept made of cardboard with a clear sheath of opaque plastic sheet with a plastic pencil that when you pressed on it (writing or drawing) it would create the lines because underneath was a black carbon layer. Guess in the 1950’s they invented this version of copy carbon paper, but this was for children, and paper could be conserved. This was innovative as it went from paper carbon, to plastic carbon, zero waste. 😆 They sold them with all kinds of illustrations at the toy store. 😃

These Skechers slip-ins look like they are good for those who have difficulty bending and tying the shoelaces, e.g., elderly, injured. After my surgery, I got 2 pairs of their equivalent in Nike ( they call it “FlyEase”) . Super comfortable, useful and best value for money. 3 months into my post-op recovery, my first pair’s cost per wear is now down to zero, and my white pair is still looking good as new. I always go for the specialist and orthopaedic shoe / sneaker brands. Never to designer brands when it comes to functional shoes!

I wear Skechers Slip Ins because of arthritis in my hip joints, and I don't have to bend and tie. Yeah, SKECHERS...is making Hermes look cool. NOT the other way around. I have several pairs of Skechers. I truly dislike designer sneakers. I prefer athletic shoes.

I love my Skechers. I'm tired of luxury brands making all sorts of products just to splash their logo on it, reeks of cash grab. As the saying goes "do what you do and do it well." They don't need to be making sneakers, there are plenty of good companies out there already doing it. Ugh.

I see I’ve gotta get me a pair of the OG😉. Great video & content. Oh an Etch a sketch was a drawing toy, with a little screen & 2 rotating knobs on the front. My baby bro got one as a Crimbo🎄gift in the 70s, he’s 58 now so it was a long long long time ago. Happy Happy 🙏🏽

I was watching how the “On” shoes were Designed originally, by putting cut up hose pipes below a pair of Nike sneakers.
The base of these have “the hose pipe” look or affect.

I loved Etch a Sketches!
one luxury brand that has the best walkability for me is surprisingly chloe! i have a joint condition that has caused injuries in my knees, ankles, and hips. but chloe sneakers save the day. i’ve walked probably 1,000 miles in their high tops and they’re still going strong. recently got the nama sneaker too and it’s the perfect balance of lightweight, supportive, cushioned, and durable. sometimes puma, adidas, or nike (esp with how mass manufactured they’ve become) have given me issues. but even chloe’s casual sandals work so well. thanks for the unique and well researched video dacob👍🏼

First of all, you bet I’m fabulous enough to remember “Etch a Sketch”! 😉. Secondly I have about 5 prs of Sketchers. Love! Super comfy! I have a pr similar to yours, and I’m a huge fan of the “slip in” feature. I wash my Sketchers in the washing machine, and air dry outside, and they look pretty as new!

First of all, I love this fashion muppet show! Hermes shoes are so bad (uncomfortable and often defective), they had to get inspiration from Sketchers. So now at least people can buy 15 comfortable pairs of Hermes Sketcher copied sneakers, instead of no arch support, tight, narrow Orans without the soles, or Chypres you have to break in, or the loafers with the Kelly lock that doesn't clasp and jingles asymmetrically, before they are perhaps hopefully maybe "offered" a bag that's been rejected by a VIP client in a surprise color.
My hubby also loves sketchers! he will be amused by this. ^_^
The shoe laces from petite h and the little H lock and piece of leather shoe charm would dress them up real well!

I guess turnabout is fair play as Skechers copied their “Shape Up” soles from the MBT brand over 15 years ago and then got fined $40 million dollars for false advertising for representing that these shoes toned your butt when you walked in them. I had a pair and loved them, but the rubber soles disintegrated after 10 years!
Ten years is a very long time for rubber soles to be functional so in my opinion yours lasted very long,
@@SuperDacob But I barely wore them. I own about 400 pairs of shoes and even more handbags. I have shoes from the 80s that are likely older than you! Leather inside and out (no flaking vinyl linings) and the heels were made from better materials than current heel bottoms which fracture if you walk in them after being in storage for 5 years! Stuff just isn’t made like it used to be. My old Ann Taylor loafers from the 1980s are quality made and still look good. My point was that Skechers copied the MBT shoes and now they themselves are being copied. What goes around, comes around!

I have never bought designer footwear. I can't cope with the thought of so much money being that close to the ground. I just buy good quality good looking and comfortable specialist footware. Great video as always

Sketcher don't last more than a year
I shall see. For now it just been a few weeks since I got them and I love them so far. I do not recommend wearing same shoe each day. One needs to let them breathe and dry out. Three pairs is in my opinion minimum to own and rotate each day so that they can all be drier and aired out between wears. This might also maybe extend the lifespan of the shoe. But we shall see as these are my first sketchers so far.
They last for me. It just depends on how much you wear them.
